What was your last purchase? 2.0

Allthough I’ve been happy with my Odroid N2, it was time for an upgrade.
So when I could get an Nvidia Shield Pro for €30, well… I got one

Went with Kingston one, seemed to be most avaiable. I’m glad Lenovo did not separated that 8 GB into two slots.

Apperciate it. (20 words).

I picked this up for my wife. I’m not sure she will love it, but she does like surprises, and I know she doesn’t have any of these pants dress “thingies,” so why not?

I also got myself a new pair of black slacks and few white dress shirts << I know, not exciting at all; I won’t post photos.

I’ve returned this in a few days after purchase because my cat haven’t appreciated it and didn’t use as a sleeping quarters, only scratched it couple of times. Plus it did smell really strong.

And today I made a switch for this thing

Though original looks like this

I decided not to build it in full for now. Maybe I’ll finish it in some time

Most recent normal thing was some yuzu marmalade to fill some macarons:

The macarons: Yellow are yuzu lemon (lemon shell, yuzu filling) and red are apple swirl (green apple shell, apple cider filling.)

Also, a mini-rant.
So one of my hobbies is making cosmetics, which means I have a few chemical wholesellers. One of my newest hobbies is making macarons. In order to colour them you’re supposed to use low moisture food colouring. I’d been using liquid and honestly it was fine, but I was curious about powdered food colouring.
So I bought this in red:

When going to purchase the yellow, I noticed there was only one ingredient, which was FD&C Yellow #5. I’m like, waitaminute, that’s it!? 6 bucks for 3 grams of yellow, hmm…
So I look at one of my wholesellers and for 6 grams, it is:

And for around 5 bucks, I can get 29 grams, almost 10 times as much for a bit less money.

So I bought every FD&C dye (tbf there are only 4 in america)
Anyway, so here is the red next to the red:

The bottle on the right was about 1/3 full when I got it and it had some other problems I’m not even going to get into, whereas the two jars on the right I filled with the 29 grams I got from my chemical wholeseller.

Ignoring the usability issues from the one on the right, which proves their packaging is–on top of everything else–poorly done. This means they literally just buy this, dole it out into very tiny bottles, and then charge more than 10 times as much. I say ‘more than’ because I’m not any kind of big retailer to be able to get the best deals from whole sellers, they’re definitely not paying what I paid.

Anyway yeah just…a mini-rant about a sad thing, but bright side is that I only made that mistake once and now I have a ton of every colour, which I will turn into pastes and gels. Very exciting!

As from today I am a proud owner of a Dyson v11.
It’s an expensive vacuum cleaner that I wanted for 2 years. Today I finally got it.

I have been looking closely at this figure since its first release in the Riot store. Is the quality good?

I ended up buying Chibi-Darius, not Ezreal :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I honestly don’t know. I was practically going blind on this (with some help from a friend), but I’m hoping it is.

I haven’t the faintest idea on what could qualify as good quality. It’s in the box, so it’s a good start.

Are you gonna keep it in the box? Or take it out and put it on a shelf? Or take it out and play with it and not care if it gets some use markings?

Flowers for Mothers’ Day. A very important purchase. Strictly speaking I was two days late but that was part of the surprise.

I think 50/50 between keeping it in the box and putting it on a shelf.

Taking it out and playing with it? Psh! Nah!!
