Grim Fandango… now there’s a classic soundtrack.

Listening to this at the moment. It’s brilliant!
I appreciate many, but don’t often listen to film or game soundtracks.
The two exceptions are those for Monkey Island and Grim Fandango. I love that g-d soundtrack.
Getting ready for Halloween at the school, going to scare the shit out of the children.
And I manged to find a Micheal Myers mask that actually looks good and it wasn’t that expensive on second hand store.
The Cellar 2018 mask which you have is rough. If anything the Halloween Ends TOTS mask is better looking when it comes to quality in terms of mass produced licensed mask.
I know it’s not a good time, but I recommend looking into overhauling the mask because the paint job on it isn’t the greatest.
That’s a lot of blue ![]()
And no, that RollerCoaster Tycoon statement on the Monopoly Tycoon cover is fake advertising ![]()
@EvilGeniusRo god I remember that Monopoly Tycoon game from god knows how many years ago, I sank quite a few hours into it. No idea if it was actually good or not but I did love the novelty of just slowing taking over a city and raising prices to extortiantate levels. Sim City 4 is ofcourse a classic as well, hope you can get the expansion pack for it too when you get a chance.
Nintendo restocked their Sora amiibo figure so was finally able to order that for myself.
It’s pretty fun and a nice spin on the whole Monopoly formula. I bet that I can finish this game faster that it ever took me to finish a real Monopoly game (I could never finish one, me and the other players would get bored
).
The Deluxe Edition actually comes with Rush Hour. Atm I’m playing 3000 since I never played it and always wanted to check it put. Well never played 3000 and 2013…
Pretty awesome how they squeezed some Sims stuff in there, like all the people in the intro are models from the Sims
And also this car ![]()

Editor chicken’s note: oops long post
Just yesterday bought the 2K/Gearbox sequel/successor, NEW Tales from the Borderlands. The uh, poorly-reviewed sequel to Telltale Games’ stellar Borderlands adaptation.
So I got it for 16$ plus tax on Amazon! (So like 19$)
And since this is the ‘Deluxe Edition’ (that’s the only version that comes physical) it ALSO comes with the original Tales from the Borderlands as a code in the box!
(And not a moment too soon, apparently the code expires Dec. 2024 – though how true that is is up for debate, digital code laws and all)
But wait, you might ask, don’t you already own OG TFTB? But yes! I own the original 2014 episodic release of TFTB. But there is a slightly newer version that came out more recently after Telltale died, the game got delisted, and the rights went back to Gearbox/2K.
They re-published the game in promo of their sequel, as a full non-episodic standalone package.
And weirdly enough, I’ve heard this “new” re-licensed version actually improves one tiny thing in TFTB.
So basically, in Episodes 1 & 5 of the game, you can see Zer0 appear. In the first Ep, its cool, he’s that cyborg ninja. In Ep. 5 though, something’s off. His voice doesn’t have that muffled robotic filter to it - because Telltale forgot to put it on or it was bugged.
I heard they developed a fix that never managed to get released, but with this new version of the game, 2K/Gearbox actually implemented that change and his voice sounds normal in the finale.
And that’s basically it.
(Also, this is great because the lowest I’ve seen the “new version” of Tales go for is 20$ in a sale. So for about 19$ total, I got OG TFTB with the fixed version, and NEW TFTB to see how badly it might torture me, all in one package! Great deal!
…No plans to play it yet though, backlog hehehh…
Here’s some extra images of the weirdness of this re-release on the PSN Store…
The “New” version of the game that i just don’t own (but now I do) and costs 20-27$ these days…
The “old” version of the game that I own and is distinct because it’s still in add-on episodic form.
Hey look, I own 2 versions now! Which do you think is the “new one”? ![]()
It’s the one on the right
Weird how the new one is almost 2GB larger…
I don’t think they did much in messing with the Telltale Tool, so I wonder why it’s like that… worse compression??
In the new version, they have a more flashy and new 2K logo, and have scrubbed the entire main menu of Telltale Games?!
(the “Episodes” tab is removed (since it’s no longer episodic) and the “TTG account” is also removed, because it no longer connects to Telltale’s site (also I think the old servers are shut down for the OG anyway)
OLD:
NEW:
Also it might have a totally seperate trophy list? Cool?
I bought Hitman (2016) Definitive Edition on Xbox.
I know, riveting stuff on Hitmanforum.
Except that it’s an unopened Hitman 2016. With downloading code for what is not on the disc.
Colorado and Hokkaido in professional mode are finally mine!
(also the achievements, and it was at 15 euros)
Got the Mass Effect Trilogy at a 85% discount, wich was roughly 210 MX pesos (between 8 to 12 US dollars) for the 3 games.
Best investment in entertainment this year.
This was a purchase I made like earlier this year, I think in May?
I kinda forgot about it though until just now ![]()
The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe Collector’s Edition (just a small one, which is neat) featuring an included Stanlurine/Figley!! (Stanley Figurine!)
Also a guide on making your own Reassurance Bucket, which, hey I probably need now more than ever
haha

Mr Bear got some new fancy clothing. He’s totally fashion drafting from Peaky Blinders, so much so that you can’t even get that outfit anywhere except in the UK and Ireland. Many thanks to @Silvereyes for helping get it over the pond.
I ordered a 3D Printer from Amazon (for Black Friday) and should be getting it later today. The Elegoo Neptune 3 Max. It’s a filament based printer. I debated on getting a resin printer (for the amount of detail you can get from prints), but decided against it since you need a couple other steps to properly finish the prints. Washing and curing. The filament type will have the visible layers. But that’s not much of an issue.
I don’t believe this will come with any filament, but that’s okay since I still have a few spools of (I think) PLA that I bought some years back when I was using a ‘PrintrBot’ 3D printer. That one I assembled myself (it was cheaper than buying it already assembled). And while I did print a few thing with that - it still needed to be fine tuned in regards to the nozzle position (height) and appropriate temperature for whatever filament you were using.
As for making models, I do have some experience with modeling. Some with AutoCAD and Sketchup. I did download FreeCAD, but will still need to learn my way around that. When I was using the PrintrBot I did have to convert some file types. I’m hoping that won’t be as much of an issue like it was. One thing I didn’t have a lot of knowledge on was including supports for prints that go outward with nothing underneath them… Surely/hopefully that will be taken care of with the FreeCAD or some other program. ![]()
I’ll likely post about this in the ‘What’s New’ topic after I get it unpacked. I believe there’s a bit of assembly required, but nothing like when I had to build the PrintrBot.
