Glad to see we live in the timeline where Celebrities are assaulting comedians on live television for simply being a comedian.

In all seriousness though, I don’t know the general consensus on who is in the right tonight, but what I do know is Jada Pickett Smith has had controversy in terms of her marriage to Will Smith where there is some degree of dirty laundry.

Alrighty, this is very spur of the moment. But I have to go down to Doswell Virginia for a week.

I got asked last night by my boss to go down and make sure opening week down there at the sister park goes smoothly.

In terms of my designated park up here. We are little over a month away from opening to the general public again. Things are ramping up and I’m getting really busy again. I can’t complain.

Someone broke into my house tonight whilst we were out and stolen a lot of our stuff

Smashed window, there’s a brick in here too which they must have used.

I’m not even going to take pictures of the upstairs because I can’t bring myself to go back up there. They’ve been in my room and ransacked everything. There’s drawers pulled out with shit all over the place.

Ive done a brief check for missing items and I’ve lost at least:

  • 2 phones
  • £300 cash
  • PS5
  • Oculus Quest 2
  • My fucking warhammer collection
  • Jewelry (including sentimental items

I’ve called the police over an hour ago but they say that they are really busy tonight so they will come at some point tonight.

Neighbors say they heard noises around 8:30pm assuming it was us, we got back around 9:30

Really fucking kills your faith in humanity doesn’t it

As painful as it will be, document everything. Don’t touch anything in case the police want to do any forensic analysis, but document it all.

That’s so horrible. I’m sorry. I hope they catch whoever it was.

Ive just gotten a call from the forensics team, they say they will be here within the hour. It turns out they are taking this quite seriously.

And thank you all for the messages, I’m feeling a little less shocked this morning which is certainly a plus. Im also in the process of making a home insurance claim for all the stolen items. This also includes the £150 I was charged for someone to come out to my house to board up the smashed window at 1am :pensive:

We just had a school shooting alarm at the school
I am working at today. In the end it turned out as false alarm, there was a former student who just wanted to visit his old class, and he had a plastic gun with him. But as long as we didn’t knew we had to hide in our classroom. It’s a school for children with disabilities and I think I never was so scared in my life before.

I really don’t need this again ever.

Glad it turned out to be nothing. I can’t imagine why someone would be carrying a plastic gun around?

Happy for you that it’s over.

Yeah, I’ll have a lot to shovel. But I won’t have time time today and probably not before work either.

He said he wanted to visit a friend to play with him and that gun :woman_shrugging: I don’t know that student, but our students in general have cognitive disabilities, so I guess he just wasn’t aware of the consequences. For him it probably was just a nice toy he wanted to show a friend. A kinda innocent thought, when you think about what it caused.

Tomorrow a colleague of mine will stand in for me because I feel like I need a day off. It was so scary :see_no_evil:

I remember classmates of mine bringing rifles and grenades to 6th grade speech class to do “demonstration” speeches. No one batted an eye at it then. Of course that was a long time ago.
