What's New....?

Surrealist Mexico as always: a couple that looked like they both came out of prison ringed my doorbell and asked to come inside to buy on some windows I’m selling. Of course I didn’t let them in because they looked suspicious as hell.

BUT, the most peculiar thing I noticed was the dude was sporting a swastika tattoo on the head hidden between his hair. A brown skinned Mexican man with a nazi symbol… Actual nazi scum or is just the quintisential case of people around here not having any goddamn idea of the symbols and stuff they are sporting? Regardless, they already looked extremely suspicious before that.

This is why we should keep guns close to us. Just in case.

Hichkas was accused of some serious relations with People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, by far the worst organization you want to get linked to. And by who? Another singer from Moltafet, a label he started a few years back.

He hasn’t answered yet, hope he does though. The accusations seem tinkered. I hope at least.

Progress on sorting my house has been slow, but manageable. My anxiety has calmed down now that I’ve begun to really figure out what and where to put stuff. Probably helps I’m finally over this cold, I was so ill last Friday, wondering if the stress was what helped cause that.

Helps I’ve now inspected every box to see what is inside. Started to really worry when I couldn’t find my Playstation and Warhammer stuff. So of course they wind up being in the very last 2 boxes I open.

Big issue was that due to the way the stuff was offloaded on the truck, alot of the boxes meant for downstairs are upstairs and vice versa. So just been lots of moving things from room to room and just slowly emptying boxes one at a time. Really my first goal is just trying to get downstairs sorted, and then limit the boxes to one room.

Still haven’t got internet. Waiting for OpenReach to get around to me. They sent me a form nearly 2 weeks ago I filled in, basically a permission slip so they can dig up my front garden so they can put in the full fibre. Hoping it won’t be too much longer.

I have concluded the forum Herald member evaluation. I’m now traveling back to the Scandinavian HQ. I can with great confidence say that @Rimland have passed the HMF elevation course.

Thanks to Rimland and his girlfriend for taking the time to show us around. They have been gracious hosts and helpful guides in Tokyo.

Japan has been an amazing experience. I look forward to visiting this fascinating country again.
Now there is only the 16 hour flight ahead of us.

Only real ones remember the existence of pumas.

Fun Fact: The puma has the most registered names of any mammal totally around 40 names in English alone.

I was thinking it was (maybe?) a reference to C47 but at the same time wondered why he was posting a picture of a “mountain lion”. I guess I expected something more spotted.

Yet, I suspect I’m still way off on whatever it was MrOchoa was referencing. :man_shrugging:

As a side note, recent local news stories have been about these big (or medium?) cats being (no puns here) spotted in various places (in neighborhoods and recorded on trail cams). I remember my mother talking about how they’d be around when she was a little girl. Looks like they’re making a comeback in this region of the midwest. :grimacing:

Nah, this picture was the or at least one of the default wallpapers of Windows 98, which my very first PC had at the time.

I was talking with a friend about how we get started on gaming and i suddenly remembered that wallpaper
