I’ve been working a new job lately and been super busy. But it feels good to be both properly employed and finally have a job I don’t hate.

Last few jobs were basically hell where I was monitored every second which made me anxious, but here I get to do a job I like without much stress. Great for my mental health.

Might be worth getting one of those signs for your front door, basically stating no unwanted sales people, charity people, religious groups etc, and that you will not buy what they are selling.

This is the one on my front door. Seems to do the trick.

Took my first hands-on driving lesson. It’s way easier than I thought, though I’d still rather a bicycle.

Manual transmission is a bit tricky, but it went into my muscle memory quite quickly. By the end of the 30 minutes, I was dancing the car by aligning the clutch.

I insist on driving a stick shift now and have done so for the last 30 years. Despite being harder to find here, I would never want to give that up.

On the one hand, it’s nice that Nintendo held back so much for the major marketing of Zelda Kingdom Tears, since there’s apparently a lot that was left out for surprises to discover.

On the other hand, some of their franchises have been a bit lackluster compared to previous entries so it sucks that I’ve got so much doubt in whether the sequel can meet or exceed BOTW’s foundation. They spent a loooong time on this thing, and it’s the Zelda team they usually put out something solid.
(Animal Crossing’s catch-up with 3DS, Switch Sports, Mario Strikers having little content)

But I’ve forced myself to read reviews just to confirm some suspicions of rumours and hear what it might improve from the original, and it seems well, well, well worth it.

shrines seem to be back, sky islands offer plenty new puzzles and exploration

Nintendo themselves confirmed dungeons in a random “dev interview/blog post” for the game promo.

castle town central town that upgrades the more you progress

possibly other towns that can be rebuilt – like the seaside town now attacked by pirates – described as “now important” in TOTK

and the big kicker: a new dangerous underground area, ripe for adventurous loot-seekers, that covers the same size as above-ground Hyrule. WTFFF YO.

also plenty of quality of life and streamlined mechanics, such as a recipe book to keep track of the many foods to make in the game.

So I guess I really am on the hype train, and definitely interested in picking this up sometime soon.

Some weeks ago I had a job interview and was even invited for a hospitation and on Thursday I got the call that I got the job

I am so happy that I can finally leave my current job in a few weeks and leave all the negativity it brings to my life behind  I hope it will help me to gain back some self-confidence and that it helps me to deal with my depression
