Winter (2025) Roadmap Speculation & Year 6?

A reference to the short-lived experiment with Episode Sapienza, I imagine. Don’t even remember when that was. This year? Last year?

I would recommend watching the film 8 Mile even if you’re not into rap because the thing with Em is even if he’s not your cup of tea, he’s very eclectic and blew up for a reason beyond being a novelty act (white guy who can actually rap). He’s actually really good in that movie and I think he helped with the screenplay, he also has produced movies, helped find talent for his mentor Dre’s label including Kendrick Lamar (who even if you don’t like rap I’d recommend To Pimp a Butterfly as a genuinely great jazz record) and has also helped to try to revive Detroit as a city. He’s more of a brand than a rapper at this point, honestly, because his albums haven’t been consistently good since 2002

IO guys, it seems you have your dates wrong. The season of greed ended years ago, you can stop being scummy now.

An update is scheduled for February 3rd, but what will the 2026 roadmap reveal?
Currently, only the Dartmoor Elusive Target is known, and details about co-op play remain undisclosed.
Will there be any events celebrating HITMAN’s 10th anniversary this year?
I’m looking forward to seeing what updates await us over the next year.

It’s mad though that hitman 2016 is 10 years old I wonder what the plan will be and co op mode still disclosed and of course the new et in Dartmoor I’m looking forward what they have for us in February

February has arrived, yet details for Year 6 remain undisclosed.
Amidst this, The Undying returns during another gap period not included in the roadmap.
Last time it arrived, it wasn’t on the roadmap either, right before Eminem.

I understand that Bruce Lee and Eminem, being from the first implementation year, won’t be re-released immediately (Le Chiffre came twice in one year, but that likely had strong promotional ties to 007).
What concerns me is the low release frequency for the somewhat older The Drop.
In Year 5, The Drop was only released once, so I think they could increase the re-release frequency a bit more.

Also, the Elusive Target list, excluding celebrities, has been repeating similar content in the same order from Year 2 to Year 5.
I recently checked the HITMAN 2 Elusive Target list for the first time in a while, and it included many varied targets that haven’t appeared since Year 2, like “The Chef,” “The Identity Thief,” and “Black Hat.”
I really hope the sixth year adds more targets that haven’t appeared much before.
Honestly, I wish the sixth year would just be the year they release every single Elusive Target ever released from HITMAN 1 through HITMAN 3 (including standalone ones like “The Congressman” and “The Guru” – that would be awesome).

@IOI_Artjoms rough idea on when we can expect to see the next roadmap?

People are getting antsy on when they can pull the trigger on their next target. :heart_hands:

wonder if they’ll be more original elusive targets for maps, I would love more ET’s for dubai and some for haven, new york, and ambrose

easier to assume no, and the Celeb-ET formula will continue given it’s more beneficial marketing wise.

I genuinely do hope we get the Ether Facility that was teased but it’s pure copium at this point. Like just one more Location :sob:

If I’m looking forward for the new DLC-tied mission in Dartmoor, I don’t expect something radically new in the upcoming roadmap.
Maybe there will be some intels about the co-op mode, but TBH I’m not interested about that feature.

My predictions for the Year 6 roadmap. It will contain:

The new CelebrET and accompanying purchasable pack that gives us reskins of items we already have/will never use and a two-tier Arcade contract.

The lineup for the next 2-3 months of ETs that we’ve already done over and over for the last 4 years at least.

Featured contracts with some silly theme.

Twitch drops that will either be some purple version of something we already have/ will never use, or a duck of some sort, purple or otherwise.

A bunch of fixes to things hardly anybody even noticed was an issue and likely won’t notice is fixed either.

It won’t contain:

Any actual new content outside of the CelebrET.

Additional Arcade contracts that let us play without restriction the ETs that are currently beholden to certain restrictions preventing 5 star gameplay without following specific kill requirements/loadouts.

Fixes to issues that have been reported and waited on for years, including broken story mission kills that don’t trigger under the conditions that they should, or result in loss of SA that did not used to.

The Tactical Turtleneck with gloves as an unlock.

Does anyone dispute that this will be the exact scenario with the roadmap when it comes?

Was expecting it for the last week of February around the 26-27.
But now I wonder if more precisely we are going to have a launch with an “available now trailer at the IGN Fan Fest.

Outside of the usual ETs, FCs, and new challenge/unlock:

  • I expect an Anniversary Stream for mid-march.
    Maybe with a dedicated drop.
  • Speaking of drop, we still have the one from the speed-run competition to arrive
(either a blindfolded suit, or a quick unpack loud Sieger sniper)

IOI has given good surprises lately, and good quality for new items.
I don’t expect anything exceptional. But I expect a solid roadmap. Professional.

Wouldn’t say no to a quick-look at the co-op (please be via a new Freelancer tile with all it entails, a safehouse as lobby would be great, and I’m all for random objectives in bricked maps).

Best case, above and beyond, scenario: Anniversary is an Event with in-and-out-game bells and whistles.

@IOI_Artjoms Just to repeat some feedback from past years for you (since it never got acknowledged by Samir):

There has been repeated feedback at the start of each year that “unroadmapped” ETs (ones that aren’t present on a roadmap but are activated in the in-between period before the next roadmap drops and are only known if you look at social media or happen to look at the right place in-game) is unpopular and leads to people missing the activation.

The problem is exacerbated by the in-game Live tab. If the ET tile was on the main menu when you log into the game, it would be unlikely you would miss an ET if you play the game during the period because its there without you having to go search for it. Having it tucked away on a separate menu which you wouldn’t even look at if you think your knowledge of what is going live and when is up-to-date is just a bad idea in combination of the “unroadmapping” of the ETs.

One way around it would be to do a partial roadmap release that is mostly covered up with REDACTED images to cover up anything relating to the CelebrET/anything that IO wants to keep quiet on for now, and then do a full reveal of the roadmap later on.

To further add to this, I didn’t knew The Undying was gonna be live until I saw this post and decided to check further in the forum.

Is a shame because we didn’t have any shadow dropped ETs for a while so I though that chapter was finally over, but it seems not. I woudn’t mind unroadmapped stuff if it was something permanent like FCs, that would be just a nice surprise, but they are doing it with time limited content.

Oh, and by the way, Samir did aknowledge it but nothing changed, which is even worse lol. He answered a post I made about it back on the comunication thread.

This was on July 2024 :joy:
