Year 2 - March Roadmap

It could be read either way I think. I tend to think of each of the Elusive Target Arcade contracts as the set of missions included in it. So the Nebulae is one contract (with 5 missions in it). The Genera is one contract (with 3 missions in it). When they say that the “batch will include an Arcade Contract consisting of Elusive Targets from each game in the trilogy” I hear each “batch [of three contracts] will include an Arcade Contract … from each game…”.

The other argument that I can think of is that if a single set of missions crosses location, that would theoretically mean that if you only have Hitman 3, for example, you’d only be able to play one of the three missions in that set.

If anyone doesn’t have access to Hitman 1 or 2 content, what do your Elusive Target sets look like? Can you play The Nebulae if you don’t have Hitman 1 content?

IOI is saving escalations to sell them to us later :stuck_out_tongue:

I missed that, it could open more possibility for well curated contract with precisely chosen ETs and complication.

The current hit or miss release, time will choose the good ones is not the best. And I hope we are just seeing the end of the backlog of the already made one from before the change in direction.

Then we will realise it means that one day have all the double targets ETs with a “60 seconds between targets” complication…

That’s a really solid roadmap in my opinion. The Sieger Tactical; an unlock that has been missing from our inventory since, really good choice, and the updates to Elusive Arcade seem to be the right ones, from what I can see in the feedback in here.

What makes me curious the most tho, is Patient Zero. An update to a mode and missions that old? Very nice to see that happening, night time sapienza is still one of my favorite maps of the entire game. It’s so calm, so slowed down, and so atmospheric.

It’s an alright map, all things considered. I’m honestly glad we actually got a roadmap, after February one was skipped. ETA is much better now, and I’ve found myself enjoying playing it, or at least Season 1 and 3. Collector was the weaker of season 3 ET’s, but I’ll still happily kill that bastard again. And support for both Author and Patient Zero is great - now I kinda wish we also had one for Freeform training, so I get to kill Caruso’s and Crosse’s parents.

I’m really happy with that as well because I couldn’t appreciate day time Hokkaido as the virus timing was putting me under huge pressure haha :joy::joy:

I wish they would add more starting locations to the bonus maps because it really limits the contracts mode. I’m happy The Author and Patient Zero are getting the support but it likely won’t get much play from me with just one starting location.

On the other hand it allows for Hokkaido contracts with a mandatory starting location, would allow for some puzzles etc

i have a question about the Patient Zero contracts on Hokkaido. Owen Cage has always had hilariously low health (makes sense, you know given he’s on the last stages of a deadly virus). will his low health carry over to the contracts version, even though the contagion element has been removed? in the normal version of the mission, you can even kill him with an emetic grenade. i guess it doesn’t matter, but it’s an interesting detail to me  or actually…maybe when they said they got rid of the virus, this meant they just erased Cage from the level entirely. idk

For what it’s worth, I assumed that they’d just get rid of the transmission of the virus as a mechanism. Owen would still have the virus, he just wouldn’t pass it on to anyone.

Yup. Question is, for people who don’t have H1 & H2, is the HK Covert 21 a “new” item for them!? Or can that be unlocked in H3 already?

i hope thats a mistake because if is not then we have two HK Covert 21

That could well be. Similar to the prisoner in Marrakesh? If I remember correctly he can be killed with almost anything thrown at him.

Since it’s already an unlockable, let’s swap it out for an unlockable Hackl 9S Covert instead, and lose that annoying rapid-fire and that tacky looking-extended clip.

With all the buildup surrouding year 2 it has been pretty dull content wise so far. My interest in Hitman has never dropped so low since 2014. I hope we have something exciting to bite soon.

What exactly were you expecting to see?

I’m havign way more fun with Arcade this time around but still missing the actual Arcade feeling plus the neon lights but already better than putting annoying complications over another.

Hopefully, Freelancer will be here for april/may. And it looks promising.

But, it’s true that currently the game is missing something. But in all fairness, having a few off month a year after initial release and in anticipation of a larger one is fine for me.

Still wish this time was used to close on the last legacy unlocks, I’m still missing some of them. Or a fun new unlock.
