Not having a go at you for your opinion, but personally I completely disagree with your perspective on this. Removal of complications will make the Arcade more fun for me.
You have played Illusion of Grandeur before, right? Aside from that, Mumbai really is quite different with Rangans Tower being empty, the Chawl being Full of Guards and even a few other things suchs as a few Side Characters being it Target worthy Positions.
I wish next roadmap we will get another few maps to contract them
Snow Festival
Holiday Hoarders
Mumbai Special Assigment
Santa Fortuna Special Assigment
That will be cool
Snow festival & Paris not change alot things but i still love the Atmosphere in this two maps
Hmm, interesting; I never played beyond the Chawls because that’s where the target is. All the same, slight cosmetic changes don’t really seem to be worth a whole contract mode; again, the changes I. Sapienza and Marrakesh were more fundamental than that.
It’s obviously not as big as the ones you mentioned since it’s not a Bonus Mission, but for Special Assignment Standards it’s alot. Also it would be great to just be able to make Mumbai Contracts with this Skybox.
Yeah, I was hoping the Polar Survival Suit would finally be usable.
Have a think: what did they do with Sapienza with Silvio Caruso escaping via plane, or Miami with Knox escaping to helicopter, or Hokkaido with Yuki escaping via Gondola, or Sgail with Constant escaping via helicopter, or what happens if you let the Partners skydive in Dubai?
You’d only have to stop him if he’s a target of your contract, not ‘every time’. Even then I wouldn’t be surprised if he just stands at the exit in contracts mode lel
It’s just that irrespective of who the target is, the bell toll is what triggers the meeting with Akram and Black, after which Black exits and the mission fails. The bell toll is automatic after a while, or obviously the player can prematurely trigger it. If IOI removed the bell toll, we’d be fine, and Black wouldn’t go anywhere.
Right, but why would IO make it so a custom contract that doesn’t have Black as a target fails if he leaves? Again, do you fail a custom contract on Hokkaido if Yuki leaves the map and isn’t a target? Yes or no
And they’re not gonna change entire NPC scripts, otherwise players will be frustrated they can’t trigger the meeting and it will ruin their strategy for some things, etc
Gotcha, I misunderstood.
It really is beautiful. Much better looking than the base map.
Well, I just see the release of the new roadmap today .
A nice surprise . I expected the release of something but not an actual March roadmap.
March 3: Elusive Target Arcade
Three new ET Arcades After being reluctant when this mode was first released early 2022, I started to appreciate this mode after playing it. It’s still currently the only way to replay ET mission on console.
-
The Vitae
Two previous ET (Liability and Ascensionist) and a new one (Heartbreaker). However, the new complication “one KO only” creates new gameplay opportunities different from the “hide bodies” complication. Now, we can move to sniper assassin runs.
Also, I can do my revenge against the Heartbreaker. -
The Genera
A little bit disappointed by this one. The new complication “not being recorded” is not a big deal, and not so different from “no civilian casulaties”. The last one is automatically checked when you go for a SA run. It will be the same with the camera recording. But here, that’s not the big thing. My concern is the fact that only one new ET is present: the Politician.
It’s the same for H3 ETA, but the new complication adds other opportunities, which isn’t the case with the new H2 ETA.
Hope the next batch will contain the other ET (the Serial Killer) as unfortunately, the Undying won’t go back. I insist, maybe we can have the same mission, but with a different average target -
The Nebulae
A good thing with the release of new ET from H1, different from the previous batch (the Deceits). A very good addition
I’m not at home right now. Will test them for sure in a very close future.
Changes to Arcade Contracts (March 3)
Upcoming changes to Arcade Contracts (Soon)
That’s why I really like IOI. They listened to us and tried to find fixes to the previous ET Arcade system.
March 11th: Elusive Target – The Collector (Year 2)
Reactivation of a good ET. Time to kill him again
The reactivation allows us to replay the ET without any restriction. However, the new ET Arcade system becomes a good substitute for “complication-free” ET (that are only played once).
March 17th: Patient Zero Contracts Mode Support
Patient Zero: Featured Contracts
Wow Never expected that introduction. Still a good point. I’m currently playing the featured contracts (As a completionist; I do them to complete the game at 100%). Looking forward to play the new FC on these maps.
March 24th: Elusive Target Arcade
Don’t know what could be the ET Arcade for H1 and H2 (hope the return of Serial Killer and an “Undying-like” ). But the H3 Arcade looks good with the return of three “new” ET (“new” meaning not present in the previous H3 ETA batches).
Conclusion:
Not the best roadmap, but a very good one .
Release of six ETA (with two new unlocks), a good ET is reactivated and the unexpected release of two new contract maps.
Hope that April roadmap as good as this one.
Finally, regarding ETA, I want to say thank you very much for listening at us IOI
EDIT: some corrections of typos + clarification
My prediction for the March 24 batch is one contract will be the pictured Hitman 3 ETs, one contract will have Hitman 1 ETs, and the third contract will be the one with ETs from each game instead of another H2 ET batch
Hey guys. Feels good to be back after over a month and a half of a break from the forums. I might aswell just say my thoughts about the March 2022 Roadmap for Hitman. 3.
Elusive Target Arcades
The two sets of ET Arcade Contracts in this roadmap is… OK. I am a bit happy with some of the changes like the Hitman 2016 one going to reduce to 3 instead of 5. The reduction of complications to one for the entire contract is something that is a bit weird to me considering that I played the Hitman 3 one in the first batch back in January. I would like to see like a couple of optional complications. One just feels like a regular ET but with a hint of a twist. I do see why because it was very limiting on the creativity part. Just something for me to get use to.
The rewards however are useless for the two batches of ET Arcades; an assault rifle and a gun that apparently you can unlock it in Paris by reaching Mastery Level 20. I was expecting a new suit, or a new weapon, or the Sieger 300 Advanced which I learnt that it plays music while scoping. That’s cool in Hitman 2016 & 2, not in 3 at moment. Just the rewards are not that interesting to me. The only use other than shooting with that assault rifle is pretty much use it as a weapon for a guard to pick it up. That’s it.
The Collector… again!!!
Hope you’re happy Steam Players because now this will be my 4th time I have of seeing him… in less than a year of his debut since April 2021. Second was end of 2021, third is first batch of ET Arcade in January 2022, and now this. Goes to show that Hitman 3 has not enough Elusive Targets… almost like Hitman 2 apparently.
I enjoyed The Broker in February since it is a Hitman 2016 Elusive Target which considering that I started in Hitman 2 a month before Hitman 3 came out, it’s brand new to me. I might aswell snipe The Collector out. He’s not worth the effort for me.
Contracts Mode now includes; Patient Zero and The Author + Featured Contracts
I am pretty happy to see these two maps now soon to becoming Contracts Mode compatible with the removal of the infection system in Patient Zero. I have played Patient Zero Hokkaido map and it is pretty fun. I haven’t played The Author though. So I am keen to try these two out in the Contracts Mode. Not entirely sure what I could think of making with these two maps, but I’ll have to try it out. Bit of a bonus that IO Interactive is doing Featured Contracts too that involves the said two maps + The Source. I wonder if that map has any ketchup in the kitchen. Oh… not that sauce.
Overall for me, the only thing that really excites me is Contracts Mode gaining two maps. That’s it. March 2022 roadmap is boring. I gave up waiting for the roadmap to turn up. Now I don’t really want to try anything other than the two Contracts Mode maps. Two ET Arcade Contracts rewards are pointless, and The Collector appearing for the 4th time. He just cannot get a break trying to steal the painting. Looks like April or May might be the months the Freelancer Mode turns up which would’ve saved the March roadmap because I’m still keen on playing it. That’s is all from me.
The roadmap blog post says that for March 24 “This batch will also include an Arcade Contract consisting of Elusive Targets from each game in the trilogy”. My thought process is that they’re more likely to skip over another Hitman 2 only batch than a 2016 or 3 only batch due to there only being 5 possible ETs to run from 2.
Ahh yeah so it does, sorry, i didn’t see that
They should have mixed them up to begin with i think, it’s a bit bad on people who don’t own a certain game though, I just hope we see all the ET’s in this mode eventually
Actually, my bet would be that we’re reading that too literally and that they meant that the batch on the 24th will be three sets of three, one set per game… so just like the current batch except each will be three targets. We aren’t going to get a single set of 3 with one from each game.
No new free escalations
I thought that too, but the wording looks a lot like it’s, one contract, 3 trilogy targets.
we are ending March with a batch of Arcade Contracts for Elusive Target Arcade. This batch will also include an Arcade Contract consisting of Elusive Targets from each game in the trilogy
There will be a batch. Multiple Arcade contracts.
“An Arcade Contract consisting of…” so, one of them.
It will have targets from each game in the trilogy.
The specificity of ‘one specific Arcade’ makes me think one of them might actually be a mix. That should be interesting.
