there are other things that they kinda fucked up as well:
no localisation for around 7 languages despite previous games supporting them and this one is a bit of a spoiler (it doesn’t have to do with plot or any kind of details at all) but they broke one of their promises - another small 5 mastery map despite them saying each one will be big with 20 levels 
especially concerning since we don’t get any new substantial features or even small adjustments, really, and the game is basically a map pack

It’s just speculation, and as Urben pointed out :
Are these numbers helpful here when the matter is only the textually visible words? Also the words of the previous games don’t need to be translated.
What is sure is that this trilogy was expensive to translate as a whole.

like half the lines don’t have subtitles. 2/3 of the lines have already been translated. they got money from epic. they got money from sony. the problem is also that if you try to play the old games from the new launcher the languages won’t be there as well
they lied about it multiple times. that’s problematic
well, you’re getting one location less for lore, escalations and contracts for the same price. additionally, no promises of further content. and no new features or even smaller fixes which they were able to add when square dumped them but not now for some reason

Yeah there will be post launch support in terms of escalations at least…that is certain. But no more proper maps or sniper assassin stuff or anything like that has been announced…I think that is the kind of stuff he is talking about. I am fine either way to be honest…even if this is the end and they don’t end up bringing any more maps or side missions and so on I’m happy with what they are delivering now.

That is a good point…they may have some stuff planned but aren’t ready to announce it yet either because it’s not ready to be shown, or maybe don’t know if they want to commit to making it by taking money for it now, or just because it would be bad PR. So you are right…there may well be content being made that we just don’t know of yet.
Which, for the record, I never treated the Hitman 2 DLC as cut content behind a paywall…that content was not made(at least not finished) before the release of the game.

i see a contradiction in your logic.
but what i meant was that there is no roadmap for bonus missions or dlcs. compare the amount of escalation, ets and proper bonus missions the 2016 game had and the amount of those in 2, the trend is alarming
this is also not very promising, tbh. it’s ridiculously overpriced in comparison to the gold edition of 2 and you don’t even get your small amount of additional content immediately

We do get “some” of the Deluxe Escalations this month. Don’t know if that means at launch, or in the couple of weeks after

I wouldn’t say so much that the trend is alarming as much as that they are moving on from the trilogy(assuming they really don’t have unannounced stuff in the pipeline, which they may well do for all we know). But even assuming that this is the end, it’s fine to be honest. They have another whole new game they are making under a different IP that will be very exciting.

It says some this months and others released over time…so there is longer term support for the game. And I’m sure the deluxe escalations isn’t everything…I’m sure there will be some stuff in there to draw back the players who didn’t buy the deluxe edition even if they don’t have other large scale paid content coming like maps and such that we don’t know of(which they may well have).

why the hell have they been moving on from the midpoint of the life cycle? no, that’s not fine. the whole always online thing has been supposed to be justified by all the live content and that isn’t changing any time soon in h3. and i couldn’t care less about any other game that i haven’t even seen when i’m paying for this one

The always online issue is something entirely different and I’m sure they’ll do the right thing and remove the internet requirement when they are going to shut down the servers.

Among the deluxe escalations, at least one of them will be available at launch. We can assume that the “Devil suit” from Deluxe pack is stuck to deluxe escalations.

Yes, though it does feel a little bit better to have a Game’s OST in my opnion, since you have an album and also of course have (atleast I hope) kinda seperated Tracks for diffrent Parts of the Music. (Mafia: DE for Example, has a pretty messy OST unfortunatly, since some late Game Tracks are in Tracks of the Beginning. They combined Mafia Spoiler: Pauli’s Death Song with some Chase Theme, which is why I couldn’t find for almost Two Months.
I don’t think they will be aviable online or atleast not online with IO’s Permission.

HITMAN GOTY was literally free few days before.
I don’t think Epic price change is a bug. It was intentional, so I have no hope that it will get “corrected”. It is disappointing. Whoever purchased before last week can feel happy. I have decided not to buy this game on Epic due to this bull$#!t
