AMBROSE ISLAND, Andaman Sea (Mission #7) - Location Discussion

What a pity. “Sit on your Buttbutt!” sounds cool though.

I think they were both announced around the same time as The Bank and The Resort

Check out this simple, yet cool RFID-strat I came up with. For people like me who love a good spy-thriller route.

Just found out that you can four shot the objective with any pistol/rifle to destroy it.
I don’t like it. It should’ve been limited to the sniper/rifles. Doing anything but four shotting with a pistol will feel silly now. Not only is it easy, but it’s with an item you almost always have on you.

Tried doing this from the bottom of the shortcut ladder in the caves, but either couldn’t get the angle right or something else— wouldn’t work. So at least you have to be in the cave at the right angle? Maybe.

You have to shoot at the computer and not the “shell” around it, so you have to either be at the front or shoot through gaps in the shell. It’s red in instinct.

Well, doing that you most probably will raise attention to that point that you have to exit right away with the boat to maintain SA so that it’s ok IMO. Besides, destroying the thing is very easy anyway because you can do it in three different ways anyway without needing anything else than what you can find in the cave.

If you enter from the tunnel from the village you can literally do it from the tunnel and then back out the way you came. You need to knock out a couple o’ guys, but it’s way too straight forward for my tastes.

Hm, I was only able to pull that off from the other side so I didn’t think it could be done from the other one. Not sure where you have to aim, but as said it’s very easy with the militia soldier disguise anyway.

Oh I know. I tried hitting it from the bottom of the ladder and just couldn’t without being eventually noticed by the guards. Maybe I’ll try again with a sniper for more precise shots— and pace the shots out so as to not raise the alarm.

You can use the vial of nitroclycerine to destroy it quickly and easily. I mean any other explosive will do the trick it just happens that the nitro is both nearby and has a small blast radius.

Yeah I know that and that’s why I don’t find the shooting strat too straightforward.
A screwdriver and a knife needed to destroy the wires are both nearby too, or you could turn off the generator and pull out the racks and neither of those methods will attract any attention.

@Kent Not sure if this has been mentioned already. But if you turn off the two generators the sides of the control unit pop out. Then you can pull them out further on each side, which in turn releases the safety mechanism, allowing you to shut it down.

Oh absolutely. You can also use the hatch at the back of the control unit if you have a screwdriver and a knife.
I’m just complaining about how easy it is to destroy the unit if you just have a pistol.

And still sporting a similar appearance like in Hitman: Contracts :joy::joy:

IOI did a great job with everything in Ambrose Island. Love the design and the layout. At first I thought I was going to be a hostile map, but I was suprised how much freedom we had.

Great job IOI :clap:t2::clap:t2:

Mmmm. Isn’t that what Hitman is all about though? You can make the job as easy or as hard as you like?

I think that 4 pistolshots isn’t the easiest thing to get away with. It did fuck up one of my Master-runs earlier today.

Ambrose seems surprisingly small in the disguises and location/point-of interest department.

It definitely could have used more points of interest, at least 2 or 3 more, since I managed to find all 12 in my first run through. But when going back again, I still found some surprising areas I hadn’t reached before – the kitchen area behind the ruins for one thing, a dead-end outcropping facing a thunderstorm as well.

I’m surprised there’s just 7 disguises, but I also haven’t got them all.
I’ve got the two guard types, the hippie, and a mechanic. I know the Metal worker is one I haven’t used yet, but what would the last two be?
