Seeing as a bunch of other people are sticking their oar in on favourite outfits to wear to Ambrose Island, I’d like to shout out my own choice of the Tactical Turtleneck. Don’t often take it on other missions, but I find it fits the vibe of Shadows In The Water really nicely.
The experiments are not exactly sanctioned though, right? It´s essentially Hush´s side project that the board doesn´t know about, but one he expects them to officially greenlight once they see the potential in it (providing he could deliver results).
I´m yet to give the TT a go here, but am sure it will go nicely. My favourite so far has been the Freedom Phantom. It´s got a tactical but casual rugged look that fits the environment nicely, and it doesn´t scream “I´m here to sabotage shit” like the Guerilla Wetsuit (which I much prefer for Colombia) does.
Yeah, you are right about that actually. But I wouldn’t be surprised if the board has some kind of knowledge of this and sort of let it slide because they like the ambition. Also, I don’t think Imogen Royce is too ethical in her work either, for what it’s worth.
In any case, I think the whole Chongqing level structured in the way it is because we are going into the dark underbelly of the ICA, and subconsciously learning who exactly we have been working for.
And I’m not just over interpreting here, if you listen to IO’s level commentary on the Deluxe of H3, they really thought a lot about these sorts of things.
same here, been using that from day 1! it blends in with what the locals are wearing quite nicely
that is the BEST reason to use it! This game is sorely lacking in good hats. The one on the Colorado suit is great!
@schatenjager I will agree that we dont have a lot of hats to choose between. I just find it too cowboy-ish for most locations.
I’ve potentially run into something annoying.
Depending on what guard catches the tanker captain when you open the cage Agent Smith is in, the guard whose watching the captain will be looking in different directions. If it’s the gate guard he’ll have his back to Akka’s main compound. If it’s the one who patrols near the green cargo container, he’ll be turned so he can see the main compound.
This, for instance, makes it so you can’t break open the box outside of the cage shack.
I initially thought it was just based on the timing of the cargo container guard, in which case it’s just a question of identifying the timing… but I’ve now run into a situation at least once where I think the guard breaks his pattern just to spot the captain. If this is the case, and if it’s some random factor that does it… that’s really annoying.
Will continue research.
Does anyone else have the problem that Agent Smith turns around every time 47 talks to him?
He turns his back on 47 every time he stands in front of the cage and talks to the wall instead. It looks very weird
I have the same problem with Farah, while giving the coconut, she turns and asks from the wall, bar or the chess board, which cannot be reached.
So it annoyed me and I smacked the coconut on her head and got a challenge completed accidently
Yes! I used it the other day and very pleased that we finally have a level where it doesn’t look so out of place
I live in an area where people where cowboy-style wide-brim hats all the time so I see them regularly. To me that hat just looks “right”.
I’d like the suits with cowboy hats to provide an extra hiding spot for your pistol when going through frisk zones. It just makes sense.
Re-watching the cutscene and noticed 47 still has his tie on properly. No one is on the boat except Dianna and Grey and the crew. We have seen him with a loose tie or no tie on occasion. If ever there was occasion to loosen up the silk chain it’s in the bottom of a dirty boat in the middle of the ocean with no one important around. This changes my view slightly on who he is and how regimented he is.
yes I know it’s just the model they used and wasn’t an artistic decision about his character, likely no one ever thought anything of it, but it’s there now so we can file it!!
I mean, he wears it in the intro and ending cutscenes for Haven as well. On a bloody scorching beach! At least he dropped it in the pre-Dubai desert traversal
hes like gus fring. all about tightening that tie
Probably no reason for them being specifically yellow, but bright yellow headwear hasn’t been seen that much before so that makes it less obvious they’re reused assets.
