If done right, it would probably be an awesome twist.
Reminds me of the original GTA 5 script, where I believe that Franklin was killed halfway through and replaced with Lamar.

Thanks for the Inside.
To get a little more detailed about it, the means of Death would be an Explosion, set as a Trap by one of the Game’s Secondary Antagonists, Arthur Watryflow. The Problem I have is that this has kind of happend already before in World 4, where the Character of Watryflow had his intial introduction.
Who voices the mysterious voice in the Pride trailer? It reminds me of the man who voices people such as the Collector. The voice sounds too familiar for it to be a unique VA, obviously
It’s not a unique VA.
Yeah, I don’t know why it would be when Greed is Diana.
I think if the main character dies and their narrative thread is dropped, then that’s bad storytelling. But if they die and their narrative thread is picked up by another character then I think it can add an interesting level to the story
That’s how it should work. I mostly wasn’t sure since The Other Characters would replace the former Characters to maintain Gameplay and I wasn’t sure if would maybe feel a bit weird.
If it’s done right it can create an emotional moment for the story. People who didn’t read Fire+Ice were gutted when Ned Stark died in GOT. Chicago PD killed off one of the best loved characters at the end of season 4 or 5 and it really helped the story along.
Specific to games… I think it would work more or less the same.
Have you played “Resonance”?
I think it’s a great example of how storytelling can benefit from refreshing the audience’s perspective on who the protagonist is. A death is only one way to enable that shift.
The most important thing is that the shift is purposeful. If you break the relationship that the audience has built with the protagonist you have to make sure they get something worthwhile in return.
We got a new murder mystery game going if anyone is interested, all of the rules are in the OP and we have quite a few seats left to fill.
I would certainly recommend joining in if you’re interested ![]()
My Question would now be what kind of Occupations of such I could still add/make sense in the enviroment? As seen above, so far there are:
Park Security: Low Level Security stationed around the Park in Areas where Guests are allowed.
Park Staff: Are allowed in all Staff Areas, except Security Rooms and Maintenace Areas. Give Advice to Guests and lead Tours around The Park.
Maintenace Staff: Work in Areas off Limits to Guests and Park Staff.
Flower Garden Waiter: All Rights of Park Staff and are allowed to handle Food and Drinks.
O’Daniels Security: O’Daniels Security Detail. Is allowed everywhere except Maintenace Areas.
Cooks: Same Rights as Flower Garden Waiters and restriced Access to O’Daniels Mansion.
Special NPCs:
Ewan Yates (First Maintenace Staff NPC): Informat, may not be harmed, but also won’t report to the Guards.
Shiva Java (Brown Suit O’Daniels Security): O’Daniels Head of Security. Will find Disappearence of his Guys suspious. Will be missed if KO’d or killed.
This are all I have so far.
I was watching bm06’s NY KECH and I remember him saying that his dad always told him when someone died “He got cocopopped, son” which makes me wonder:
@theWizard can you explain how you set NPCs onto picking loop and that thing when they permanently look in one direction?
Edit: I’ve figured out looking thing, but picking loop still out of reach
It’s ICA phone glitch. The phone will become invisible after it’s answered and when an NPC sees it he will try to pick it up. But since it’s no longer a phone with physical form it cannot be picked up and the NPC gets stuck in a pick-up loop.
My Question would be, what is, in your Opnion the maximum amount, a Model should be used aka cloned?
Is bangkok the only trilogy level with a cake? (Not counting sniper assassin) That’s the only one I can recall. Just asking, for reasons.
At least this is the only level where you can interact with the cake
Right, but, is there another level with a cake prop? Doesn’t need to be interactable.
I don’t think it is
Wow. That’s strange. I would have expected one at the Wilson’s party or something, but I can’t recall one there either.
ok. Thanks for responding.
