BERLIN, Germany (Mission #3) - Location Discussion

This map was awesome. I am so glad that they have kept being creative and dynamic in their level design, as I was getting pretty tired of the formula after playing Haven. The atmosphere is just superb, especially at the start when seeing the unmarked vans and listening to Olivia tell you to run. The hunter and hunted aspect is the best the series has applied such a system. I suppose my one complaint would be that I wish the targets behaved a bit more interestingly. I wish they weren’t simply enforcers to every disguise (which does make them easy to identify and avoid). I think it would be cool if they weren’t enforcers, however when they see you they alert the others and group up before trying to fight you, and you hear it all on the radio trying to look out for every NPC putting their finger to their ear. The club owner shootout is the closest the level gets to such a system. Still, fantastic and interesting mission which at the moment is my favourite in the game.

One complaint that I have for this map is that there aren’t many cool ways to kill your targets. I get the feeling this is intentional and is meant to encourage more traditional kills, like poison and fiber wire

Yeah I can think of four involved ways of killing targets: The bratwurst delivery, the concrete culvert, meeting the club owner (which I haven’t done yet but I hear it is unique) and the light show (which was broken for me when I played the level first time around)

You might be generous and give the juice bar kill with Swan.

My biggest problem is aside from a few short but characterful conversations they are just grunts with little personality. It is a shame because it is the first time we have truly been hunted by the ICA. (No whatever similarly named mercenary group that appears in Absolution doesn’t count).

The light show was honestly one of may favourite kills in the game, it feels so good when you get two of them at once this way

I am sure it is but in my experience the kill goes like this: 47 waits for them, hypes the light show then it is “Wait Jiao I think he is…” then 47 raises his hands for the climax and then…

ERROR and I was kicked out of the game entirely. It pissed me off because I was going for an accident/drowning run and I couldn’t do the big marquee kill.

Yep, it’s a spectacular moment when you first hype up the music and then get to the climax. I wished there were more moments like that.

If I knock them, is it possible to kill all thr agent?

Don’t like the mission but the map is great for contracts. Looking forward to elusive targets here.

You can turn instinct off and get rid of the mini map

They (again) added special dialogue for the targets, when you wait while choking them. Very funny, considering them knowing 47.

Makes sense considering they don’t have a fearful cover Phase like the other Targets.

I didn’t like this location, in fact is probably one of my least favorite locations in this new trilogy. Walk around, kill this number of bad guys, and you are done.

Isn’t that all of the maps in the trilogy tho lol

I guess his complaint is that you’re killing just some “bad guys” instead of people with personalities like everywhere else

True, but these guys had more personality than some of the filler targets(Zardan, Morgan, Cassidy etc) IMO

I really enjoyed the vibe of this map, it’s just a shame that the targets seem like they don’t really have any routines and I also feel that this map encourage us to kill everyone it’s just too tempting

This mission is wonderful. I only wanted to kill all 11 agents

For me as a german it is so cool to see all the German sentences and things that are quite typical for Germany like the information board at that bus station.

Not with this level of simplicity.
