Can you ghost run all WoA maps?

So I finally got all challenges completed in Freelancer. Now what? Decided to see if it’s possible to ghost run all the maps playing the main stories.

What’s a ghost run? Basically, you leave no evidence behind. What’s that mean?

Must wear gloves at all times (no fingerprints, only disguises with gloves will work)
All kills must be accidents
No bullets can be used
No bombing materials (or other electronics you can’t get back after use) can be used
No knockouts, since that’s a clear sign you were there
No poisons, because they will be found in autopsies
Can’t destroy cameras, but you can manually destroy evidence
You must leave in the disguise you’re wearing at the start, if you use another disguise you must return it where you found it
If you bring a gun, it must return with you

I failed miserably on Master mode, Bangkok was my downfall. Only the two exits, both with two guards on them. Couldn’t figure out how to exit the map without distraction shots, explosions or knocking guards out.

So far, I’ve completed all missions through Whittleton Creek on professional difficulty. It’s a lot more challenging and I’m enjoy the journey.

My friend, you have exceptional taste. Allow me to post this link here and introduce you to the Heisenberg Parameters of Perfection.

To directly answer your question, I play the main campaign of the game in this manner exclusively. So, yes, it can be done.

Maybe you could steal some guns in the security room. Place them behind the guards, let the guards pick them up and leave. That way you wouldn’t have to fire a shot or knock a guard out.

This was how I got around that same problem, in the basement of the hotel.

I’m sure there are other solutions. Are you allowed to use emetics (no Sieker)? They probably wouldn’t do a blood test afterwards so you should be clean, right?

For an obvious accidental death, it’s not likely that they would check for substances in the blood of the victim, except perhaps to see if they were under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, and those are specific tests. One possible exception is drowning a victim in a toilet as they vomit, but if they want to check why the person was throwing up before they drowned, and if their food or drink was poisoned, it can be chalked up to accidental cross-contamination, since the poison was non-lethal, and therefore probably not intentional. If a needle or dart is used, a drowned victim is not likely to have their body carefully looked over for marks that a needle pierced their skin somewhere. And those that are breathed in like throwable emetics or the remote device from a briefcase, they’re not likely to leave any obvious traces either, and it will likely be chalked up to the victim simply getting an upset stomach.

For my SASO master no-KO no-loadout run, I use the briefcase from the office in Morgan’s suite to get rid of the stationary guard at the basement exit so I can access the exit.

As others have mentioned, the guns around the map might be used in the same way. SASO I’ve found them not worth trying to get to, but allowing certain disguises might make it reasonable.

OTOH, since you’re allowing disguises as long as they have gloves, why not start as the gardener and use the tuk tuk exit? There don’t seem to be any problematic enforcers for that disguise back there.

I debated that. Decided no on the Sieker, because there’s a dart stuck in the skin. Was less certain about a random rat poison you find on the map. And I’m still debating in my head about any lethal poisons you find on the map (frogs or flowers). Would an autopsy automatically assume homicide, or is that possibly accidental? Need a medical examiner to answer that.

I use guns to get guards out of the way elsewhere. Love Colorado (first time saying that) because there are guns laying about everywhere. I didn’t know where to find them in Bangkok. Those security rooms are a pain, but then, that’s the challenge. I’ll give it a try.

Glad to hear. Once I got past Colorado I thought it was possible.

Toughest levels playing this way so far
Sapienza: Targets easy, killing the virus without bullets, bombs, or dongle not so easy. Only way I could think of was raising the temp. That’s when I gave up suit only.

Colorado: Three of the targets are easy, but Penelope Graves gave me fits. No winch on the chandelier, so that’s out. Dynamite won’t get her to walk over to the electrified water near the greenhouse. Out of desperation, I knocked her out inside the house and dragged her upstairs to throw her off the balcony.

Marakesh: Getting inside the school, especially on Master level, took some figuring out. Finally used a gun to get one guard out of the way.

It’s been fun.

Thanks. I figure others who enjoy this play style have done it before.

All good points. I’ve been sort of coming up with the rules in my head as I go. Good to know there’s already an existing source. I’ll check it out.

I’ll give the Gardner disguise a try. I play Bangkok suit only, so trying to steal guns from security rooms sounds way too daunting.

I forgot about the briefcase. Get rid of one with the briefcase, use coins on the other, dodge the camera, should work.

You may not need to distract the second guard with a coin, since he walks down the hall periodically anyway. IIRC dodging the camera instead of breaking it is annoying but doable.

Thanks. That should work.

The challenge name for poison kill is “Tastless, traceless” so the lethal poison won’t be found

Can confirm there is no tuk tuk exit on master difficulty, I just tried. Good news is Gardner disguise works great. You can walk right past those two guards in basement. My problem now is I need a gun to get those roaming guards out of the bathroom long enough for me to subdue Jordan and throw him off the balcony. Looks like there’s only a rifle in the security shed in back, which the Gardner can’t carry across the map. Hoping there’s a handgun near the entrance in the second floor hub, or I’m doomed.

Tuk tuk exit works fine for me on master difficulty (on PS4 in case that matters). Note the exit doesn’t show up until you repair the tuk tuk.

Nice that the gardener disguise lets you walk past the basement guards too, I didn’t think to try that.

If you get the briefcase, you should be able to carry it that way.

Looks like it’s still there.

While smothering Jordan with the cake isn’t an accident and you’re not allowing yourself poison, you could still KO him there then toss him off the roof. Might be easier than getting a gun and then getting upstairs and such.

Interestingly it seems that dumping an unconscious Jordan out one of the windows of the party room triggers all the NPCs out there to move out of the way like for the Abel de Silva mission story, which clears the way fairly nicely. You may have to watch for one of the NPCs on Level 4 to not be looking out the open window though (them cleaning the closed windows seems fine).
