Can you ghost run all WoA maps?

No. We are talking about if we used realism in the game while the game plays as is. So to make it clear, if you wear gloves, we are talking about how in a realistic manner that would affect us in the real world but when you say things that can potentially happen and not have anything to do with me, that is adding something to the game that isn’t even there. Gloves are there. It’s not adding. It’s just using the hitman world and adding realism to it just like if you run, using realism would make you suspicious if you’re doing it in circles and bumping into people then you can use THAT suspicion as the element of realism if a body is found and to what you said, an investigation would happen to what happened with what YOU did.

And again, if you’re going to go that route, you then need to examine why someone would be wearing gloves in the first place, and why it would be considered suspicious. You’re approaching the gameplay from the perspective of being a real assassin who is really having to deal with things like leaving evidence, and for that, you have to understand - and apply to the situation - all the ways in which physical evidence can end up exposing you as a killer, and what happens if you are. You can’t just say, oh, wearing gloves looks suspicious, and then stop there. In-universe, you’re try to avoid not only getting caught in the mission, but also being figured out after the fact.

That was the route from the beginning

Exactly my first ever post in this thread. DaQuack?
People wouldn’t know why but when a big bald guy with a tattoo on the back of his head is wearing “specific type gloves”, then they would wonder why which then makes that sus.

Lol. I can’t do anything but laugh here. Seriously. This made me laugh.

Edit: Why can’t you upload a run? I think people would really enjoy seeing a run from you and how you actually apply these rules to your gameplay.

Because I don’t record my playing, and I don’t post videos. It’s not difficult to figure out how I apply these rules if you actually take time to think about them.

So can you? I’m sure people would be interested to see it in action.

At this time, no. Someday perhaps, but for now I can only put in text, point by point.

I don’t use HPP as my standard, but I am uploading my ghost runs to my YouTube channel (@mavor88).

I don’t walk everywhere, and I don’t return wrenches, screwdrivers and other items where I found them, but other than that I think I’m close to the HPP standard.

I’ve uploaded season one. I’m through Ambrose as of this writing on season two and will upload that season when I finish the final two missions.

I set out to see if it was possible to ghost run all of the WOA maps. I’ve got my answer. Nope.

New York, as far as I can tell, is impossible. Goal of ghost run is to leave no obvious signs that you were there. Killing the target is no problem, but the second half of the mission … you either knock out two people and steal their data drives, or you break into the vault and steal that data drive.

In either case, it’s an obvious sign you were there. Don’t see a way around that.

I’m going to continue on with the Hitman 3 maps and see if any of those are impossible too.

I’ve uploaded my ghost runs of Hitman 1 to my YouTube (@mavor88). I’ll be uploading the Hitman 2 runs soon.

Do accidental KOs like bananas or wet floor count against your ghost run thing? You could get the data drives this way perhaps?

The way I see it, taking the data drives from the three bank heads just indicates that they were pickpocketed, and taking the data core just shows that the bank heist that was being planned by those people in the bathroom went off, so they will be blamed for either one happening. You can get to the glass clock and loosen it to make the target fall through, then distract the guards with coins or emetics to get to the data drive, while using a banana for Mann on the stairs, and a sedative in the drink of Perez in the security room upstairs. They drop their drives and leave them, no one is the wiser, and in-story Perez just passed out from the stress of what’s going on and the drives were swiped while they weren’t looking by someone working with the heisters. No issue.

I ended up putting rat poison in the ventilation to make the guards in the hub sick, then breaking into the vault and stealing the core there. I thought that less obvious than the three people with data cores being taken care (one dead, two unconscious). I can buy a vault heist and a suicide after the stock price collapse, but any investigator will know someone was there.

I’ve been considering it. In Haven, I ended up using an emetic on Jason Portman, figuring he’s going to assume he got sick while on vacation (who hasn’t done that?) I wondered if using the Durian would be OK? It’s natural, so no trace evidence left behind. And people do pass out. It still feels messy and not like a clean ghost run.

I remember from the other thread that you don’t like using poisons. Did you know that you can turn on the TV down there to permanently distract three of the four guards from the vault security room?

For Portman you don’t have to use any poison. Place a muffin on the plate in his room and he’ll eat it and then relocate to the clinic because of the gluten.

Did not know that. That’s much more elegant but I’m not inclined to repeat. At this point in time, I don’t want to play Haven ever again. I just finished it last night, and I’d say it has the trickiest kill yet. Shockingly, no one wears gloves on a beach, so you have to do it suit only. I was trying to drown Tyson Williams and Bradley and Mila in the hot tubs. I did it, but getting to Tyson suit only took some effort.

I did know that. I could have bypassed the guards and used a crowbar on the big red button, but again that leaves an obvious sign I was there. I gave in on my poison rule there. I thought, maybe some rat poison just happened to get into the ventilation system. Not completely unheard of. But when you throw in the vault door being open and the data core missing … hard to call it a ghost run.

What would be ideal, is you sneak into the vault undetected, hack the core and download the data you need, then sneak out, closing the vault behind you. That way no one would know you were there.

No need to crowbar the button if you bring a lockpick. Use the TV to lure the three guards. Use the AC to distract the one facing back towards the glass-walled room so you can close the door. Drop a gun to distract the one guy who remains in the glass-walled room long enough to pick the lock to the safe and get the vault keycard.

Yeah, hard to call it a ghost run when either the data core or backup disks go missing though. Your best bet may be to also loot the vault so maybe they think gold was the goal rather than the data.

Use emetics or sedatives to get to Tyson. They can be shrugged off in-universe as the NPCs just getting sick. Also, use one on Bradley as he’s running on the Beach. Drown him in the ocean. As for Ljudmila, after getting rid of Portman, just pull the latch on the trapdoor in his bathroom. She’ll fall through, hit her head on the way down, and drown.
