It’s a location yes but with zero replay value.
It’s great for the story maybe, but Hitman is about replayability and not linearity

It’s like Requiem, but linear and longer (witch makes it a lil bit boring to replay).
Well apparently there’s 30 challenges and three starting locations. So we’ll see.
Be nice to one another
It is true to say that there are 6 locations… because there are!
But it does look like Romania is not a fully fleshed out map, so that is a point (though like most I’m still yet to play the game)
IOI saying 6 full locations with level 20 mastery is clearly not accurate, but do we know who made that claim? Was it a dev or was it a PR person who may not understand the source material at all, nor the fervent passion (and expectations) of the fan base?
Of course, once the Brasov DLC is announced we may be placated
Frankly, even IF there was only 5 levels in the game, I would still buy it (as I think most here would). Why are we moaning so much? It’s not like this ‘lying’ and ‘betrayal’ would really affect our purchasing behaviour in any way. People just want any opportunity to be annoyed.
Oh this gives me hope we will unlock the fiber wire from C47. I loved the round handles even more than the stick ones.

This. Hitman 2 had it too, and while HB got alot of critisism for its linearity and not replayability, it got prised for being one of the most immersive ones in the entire trilogy. Knowing that they will do this for the end of the trilogy Im actually happy about it, gives it a way better finale, than, lets say Hokkaido did.
No Worries. Not gonna break 3 Days before Release.
Very good choice. I should have done the same.
But Im glad I didnt see any big reveals, just minor ones.
We are all going to play yes but we can also be disappointed with IOI’s lie, right?
They lied in a video promoting the game with almost 1 million views
I love Hitman but I’m not a fanboy if you announce something in a trailer 1 month before the launch you need to back it up
You have to complete 17 “Silent-Assassin-Challenges” to get the classic fibre wire.
All people complaining here don’t buy it, the rest of us will just enjoy the game, it looks awesome…
Technically true. But I’d be darned if I haven’t replayed it multiple times(usually using tripwire and rubber duck at different angles)
Thats a wierd number. There are 18 main locations, not counting DLC or ICA. So which mission does not count towards it? Or maybe, like the elusive target challenges, there is another challenge that goes up to 21?
Idk. Maybe the last location. Or maybe it is not location dependent.
game does look awesome especially that 5th location.
but that last location looks rushed to me.
no replay value and its just a linear run. The other 5 maps look really good though.
I feel like people are underestimating what they achived here. Its either a run across a premade location, or, like in Uncharted 2 for example, little instances with repeating surroundings on a moving level. They had to implement this into their engine. For a single, “rushed and boring” level, this is alot. It makes me sad that people complain about that so much. I think the Asylum would be boring compared to if they say in a future stream, “Yeah, we actually wanted to make it a moving train with a cool fight to the top, but we rather chose snowy ruins of Romania”
The thing is, I cannot be bothered to get angry at IO when we’re so close to release and I am just looking forward to the game coming out. Sure, I would rather a 20 mastery map, but we have 18 of those already, so I am not going to go out of my way to get mad simply because the end is lacking as many hours of gameplay as the other maps have.
“Zero replay value”
The overreaction. My goodness.
That’s also my thought in relates to the Trophies, though I just wanted to know if there
were any familair names after Dartmoor
.
