Well, with 17 challenges, I guess it’s for the 6 H1 missions, 6 main H2 missions (excluding DLC maps) and the 5 H3 missions (excluding the last map). Definitely, the sixth map will be different… Looks like a kind of conclusion like Requiem or Absolution mission.
I’m waiting playing this mission before making up my mind about it.
Well if that’s the case, it will be a strange unlock locked behind 2 paywalls, with each access pack and the main game only grant players 1/3 of the progress. We don’t have this sort of unlock in H2, but then those ET suits come to my mind. Players without Legacy pack in H2 can only complete 7 ETs, which locks Signature Suit with Gloves, the Undying Look, and Casual Undercover permanently.
I loved the absolution mission. And since the game director is the same, I have hight hopes for this last one. Just make the last cutscene of the game a littler longer than a minute, they always felt so short, while being amazing looking and directed.
I get why you are disappointed but you’ll have 5 other areas with hours of playtime. you’re acting like every level will be linear which is not true. as to the other guy, i’m far from a shill so yeah don’t say dumb things.
The sixth and final map, set among Romania’s rugged Carpathian Mountains, isn’t a typical Hitman level at all. It’s more like an action set-piece, designed to finish Agent 47’s story in spectacular fashion. It’s a tightly choreographed, visually impressive finale, but it is, essentially, scripted. Without spoiling anything, the nature of the level means there’s no room for exploration. You do get a few opportunities to flex your creativity, but mostly you’re just doing what you’re told. This makes it the weakest by default, even though it’s crafted with the same level of care and polish that defines all of IO’s levels.
Yet again, you could say the same about Hawkes Bay. That too has like, what, four rooms? And a big pile of sand? Still is one of the most immersive maps, and a realy cool start for Hitman 2. If Romania is as cool as what I saw from it, even if its scriped, we will have a really, really intense last mission.
(Beside that, if they do bonus missions, they might do a murder-on-the-train kind of bonus mission with more creativity. Who knows?)
Since there wont be DLC missions, and there was a lot of negatity towards Special Assignments, I am sure they will do that. Maybe even as GOTY edition. Id place my bet on, when it launches on steam, there will be a complete edition with all the three games, and a DLC pack with bonus missions for some Hitman 2 and 3 missions.
So it’s like an Absolution level has found its way into H3*
From what I’ve seen I’m still looking forward to it, sure it may lack as much replay value as the other maps, but in the narrative it sounds like it could be a good fit.
