CHONGQING, China (Mission #4) - Location Discussion

I think a lot of the mission stories are too long in this game. The sniper one in mendoza is a pain as well. You could fiber wire her 10 times by the time you follow her around long enough to take out her guards and take the shot.

Luckily they’re all optional and not needed for most of the challenges. I still love both maps for “normal” play.

You don’t need to take out the guards though. Just wait for a moment when you can order the sniper to take the shot, the mission story will be completed as well.

Didn’t happen for me, it said blocked everywhere until I removed the guards, then it worked in the same places it was blocked before.

I’ve done that several times, should be very much possible when she’s roaming the area with the asado bonfire.

Just didn’t work for me, I dunno. I’ll try it again someday, though with the related challenges done I don’t feel a ton of motivation haha.

Does anyone know a way to turn on the fumigator in this mission on the top floor of Hush’s building? I can put poison into it but there doesn’t seem to be any way to turn it on. It connects to the room where Hush goes to use his own Deprivation Chamber so it seems like it might’ve been intended as a way to clear that room maybe.

I think it only poisons the deprivation chamber and only for such a little while you won’t even be able to see the fumes. You can’t and don’t need to turn it on, it’s always enabled. Just put the poison in when Hush is in the chair.

Ah cool. Thanks again my friend. I’ll try it out. This part of the mission is exactly why I wanted a sitting fibre wire animation. Wiring Hush in that chair would’ve been great, especially for SO/SA.

Why does Hush move toward the deprivation chamber room if you shoot ONE drone?

For Hush to actually use the deprivation chamber chair (and therefore making the fumigation poisoning work), you have to actually “repair” it by putting a fuse cell in it. Otherwise he only comes to check in and complain it´s not fixed yet. After fixing, the npcs will leave.

Can anyone confirm that I am right in thinking that these are the only ‘generic’ ways to kill both targets silent assassin in the suit only:-

Hush

  • Snipe him as he talks to Royce via All Seeing Eyes Mission Story
  • Use Deprivation method and kill him via lethal fumigator poison OR emetic fumigator poison and push over balcony OR bullet to the head and hide him in the closet

Royce

  • Snipe her as she talks to Hush via All Seeing Eyes Mission Story
  • Use her terminal to fire Jeremy Bolt (the data core guard) and then kill her in the data core in some way as she is alone
  • Make her workers go to the rest room by hacking the computers then lethal poison the fumigator in th rest room when she goes to get them after they have left the room

It seems that besides the above, Hush and Royce follow very limited paths where they are always in view and their bodyguards never leave their side unless you do something specific like drop a coin or weapon etc.

I did kind of find another way where you can hide in Royce’s closet in her terminal/drone room then when she and her guard are in their leave the closet and subdue the guard before killing her. The only thing is the guard stands very close to the closet with his back to the wall so it is unlikely that it was intentional that you could subdue him here.

You can get Royce SA/SO with electrocution too.

Damn. I forgot that one. Thanks Thrison

You can lure Hush out by sabotaging the satellite dish and I think he passes under a hanging bird cage (or whatever it is) which you can drop on him. But I haven´t tried yet. Or get him while he´s fixing the dish (might require distracting/KOing his bodyguard + the roof guards).

And there´s probably dozens of crazy SASO strategies by speedrunners already for both targets as well…

Good one. It’s kind of weird that certain kill set-ups don’t leave the target without the bodyguard. Like the radar dish one you mentioned. I thought for sure that would leave Hush on his own. It seems like these sort of setups would always leave targets alone in previous games but I suppose this is more of a challenge.

I know what you mean ha. This might sound strange but I prefer the more conventional/realistic/story driven kill methods rather than speed runs which are actually difficult to find because so many players are doing speed run style playthroughs now. I think I’m boring and old school ha.

You don’t have the Rube Goldberg kill where you fire all employees in a specific order leading to her dying in the core purge.

He also steps in some puddles on the way so you can get him with a taser

Well, just for comparison, IIRC Robert Knox’s bodyguard follows him out when he checks on his satellite dish in Miami.

For another idea, there’s a propane flask on the apartment balcony not far from that satellite dish.

Same for me I find this map very disappointing, the two targets are each in their tower and the town part is useless and underused with several closed shops

The Hush Tower is boring to explore and the ICA center is nice but nothing appealing.

I expected a lot from this map but it is the worst map of Hitman 3 with the Carpathians imo

I just started Chongqing and uh…

Wow.

This map be pretty.

EDIT: Okay, Chongqing is also very broken. I’m getting a lot of unconscious bodies randomly spotted through walls and floors.
