The code for the boxes is the same one, you also don’t need that, it’s the same kind of a keycard. There are two just because two separate guards are meant to use them at the same time.
Are the elevators permanent unlocks or is it just a bug from my saves ?
I openend them during the server opportunity the first time I did the Dubai map and it seems to remain opened during my next sessions of the level.
If it is so, I find it quite disappointing. Part of the fun of the Hitman games is also on the challenge provided by the level design and the pleasure to gain new ways of operating your approach of the targets by completing several objectives.
Altough I’m not too fond of the permanent shortcuts, I didn’t mind them that much because they were part of the level desing who were hold back to make the first run harder.
But making the whole level feel holed from everywhere after a single run by over easying it to please speedrunners while by the way taking the fun out of completing the server part of disabling everything (cause yes, some of us enjoys unlocking again the level the way they first did) is to me really annoying.
Glad there seemed to have not implemented these shortcuts mechanics to the legacy levels. At least those ones will remain as enjoyable as they originaly were …
Good question. I did master sniper SA/SO using How the Mighty Fall in 7:45 and change. I was proud of that, but of course, that did not put me anywhere near the top. Frote has a video on his YT channel showing how he did SA/SO in 17 seconds. I haven’t seen it yet, but now that I’m done with Dubai, I might check it out.
Cool run. I love the peek-a-boo into the syringe. It just works perfectly so that the guards don’t notice by a split second
I wasn´t expecting him in Dubai, but in Mendoza
Has anyone found out whether it´s possible to have any of the targets actually evacuate by helicopter, or was this scene simply staged for effect in the trailer (which is likely the case since there´s noone in it)?
I assume the intention is the keys are lost and they can’t get out that way but I dunno.
Does Carl ever go back to the balcony he starts at because I haven’t seen him there except at the start?
Also, something that I found when playing the golf ball death was that on the way to the golfing area he says something about coronavirus which made me laugh a bit
Me too. I wonder if is a bug…
Anyone figured what do with the joints? I found 2 under coconuts. They have to be there for a reason … Easter egg probably.
the redacted challenge, flying monkey business, is done by making the targets slip on a banana while evacuating? That’s what I am gonna try but I don’t know if it is gonna work cause I tried a lot of things and it hasn’t worked for me
Yeah he goes to the balcony if you go and meet him as Kazeem, go outside and lean, he’ll follow you there.
You can kill Carl Ingram by using the peek a boo trick on the right side instead of the left.
Once he investigates that position you can shoot him and he’ll fall of the building before the guards notice. Might save a few seconds
That’s a different balcony, he starts on the balcony we can see in the first Dubai trailer. I don’t think he ever returns, it’s pretty easy to push him off that unnoticed.
Has anybody been able to kill both targets when they try to evacuate on the helicopter? I haven’t had any luck.
If you activate the evacuate alarm, both targets meet up by the helipad. However, the pilot says something like “I wasn’t ready for an evacuation today” and then the targets leave.
This makes sense because the pilot lost his key. (You can find it at the bottom of the helipad ladder) however, if you approach him there’s no option to give it to him (even disguised as a guard).
So that means my awesome plan of hiding C4 on the heli and blowing it up midair seems impossible.
SoI took the pilot’s disguise and triggered the evacuation. Now I figured if I have the key and I’m dressed like the pilot, I would be able to trigger something. Maybe a cutscene would happen where 47 smoothly takes out both targets in the air and flies away.
Nope. On the helipad, both targets stare at me, say nothing, then run away.
I’m pretty disappointed that none of this worked at all. It seems like the helicopter can only be used exfil point.
I recently installed Hitman 3, after a lot of trouble. I planned to only play 15-20 minutes at first in Dubai. Before I knew it, an hour had passed.
The movements, graphics, and gameplay felt sharper. I can already tell it’s going to be a blast.
Just a PSA for people trying to get the challenge for beaning the Sheikh with a gold bar: The gold bars you can find in the level are different than the gold bar you can bring in your inventory (From New York if I recall correctly.) The Gold Bar you can bring yourself will not count for the achievement. It’s probably a more obvious thing than I realized at the time but I just thought I’d mention it after seeing a lot of posts from people concerned about challenges glitching.
What’s up with the second camera when you
kill the targets by sabotaging the parachutes. It’s just them falling with a black background
For next balance patch - my suggestion
When I passed the location for the first time, I slowly explored it, and accidentally stumbled upon Marcus Styvesant and one guard in an unguarded corridor. stunned the guard, and marcus kinda dead. the corridor was long, and no one walks there, and on a low floor. It was too easy , on of first targets in the whole game. it knocked me down a bit.
I propose with the new patch to add another guard to Markus and make that corridor more guarded.
I can agree with that. Diana talks about the “top-notch security on highest alert”, but Marcus is escorted by a single usual guard and walks around empty corridors? Right…
I spent just a couple of minutes on him on my first run. I found him, stumbled upon the propane flask, placed it behind the corner (at the art installation) and shot it when he walked by.
