Elusive Target #37: EMINƎM vs. SLIM SHADY (1 December - 31 December 2025)

Reveal just happened in the xbox partner showcase.
In Hokkaido

Hitman World of Assassination’s latest Elusive Target mission stars one of the most influential and noteworthy hip-hop artists of all time: Eminem. Eminem rose to his superstardom with the help of his alter ego, Slim Shady. In his latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady” the rapper tried to put his unhinged other self away, but it seems his past continues to haunt him.

Much like Agent 47’s recent team-up with Bruce Lee, Eminem is a fellow operative – Briefing 47 on his mission and helping untangle the twisted mind of Slim Shady.

The level is packed with psychological, dreamlike twists that mirror Slim Shady’s fractured reality. Set within a medical facility in Hokkaido that has been reconfigured into the chaotic Popsomp Hills Asylum, the mission follows Agent 47 as he infiltrates a surreal environment where doctors, patients, and performers blur into one. Slim Shady has transformed his former operating theatre into a fully equipped broadcasting studio, where he delivers erratic live performances to a captive audience of staff and inmates. Players must track him across several interconnected areas, for example, a recording studio or a bizarre “Group Training Session” where he brainwashes the doctors to participate in his evil scheme of weaponizing music.

The mission overflows with Eminem-inspired details, from a poisoned Spaghetti Sandwich served in his restaurant to a haunting performance of “Houdini,” all leading toward a climactic showdown that bends the boundary between dream and reality.

In addition to the mission, IO Interactive is releasing the Eminem vs. Slim Shady Pack, containing a new suit, four items, and home base cosmetics connected to the mission. The pack is available for RRP: $4.99/€4.99/£3.99 from December 1 – December 31.

Time-limited DLC is now a feature of the CelebrETs it seems.

Gotta say I’m really shocked that it’s on Hokkaido, and they chose to do all three ETs on the Hitman 2016 maps. Maybe for year 6 all the new ETs will be on Hitman 2 maps.

Hooray for finally having two Hokkaido ETs and two chances to get the White Yukata in a single year! (unless you want to count the reactivation of The Fugitive Year 1 in Year 2)

The IOI homepage has a countdown for the ET’s release.

We can all agree that Eminem does not look like the teaser from June.
Right?

Good for IOI on the get though.

Kinda excited for the suits, and items.
Because I think they will be interesting.
And I kinda want a 47 with a patrol cap.

Meh on the mission though.
“Dreamlike”, the wacky adventure of Hokkaido are a bit much for me.
I could see it having its place in the larger game, like 7DS do.
But immediately. Meh.
And a bit intrigued.

As long as its balanced by some “core aesthetic” unlock in the roadmap, sure.

It seems that Hokkaido has undergone a fairly major transformation, which is exciting. I really like, that we get to play alongside Eminem and not have him as a target. I wonder how exactly we get to fight his alter ego Slim Shady.

I’m curious what IOI have come up with here. Sounds very promising!

Ok, that’s weird. And was definitively NOT on my 2025 bingo card. And now two limited time ETs in a row where we don’t even get to kill the person? Is this just gonna be the new format now?

This looks like a job for me.

(This looks wacky AF. Looking forward to it. Spontaneously it just looks really different from the base Hokkaido map. We’ll see. )

My most wanted suit and I can’t even get it

I’ve been relatively indifferent about the hypermasculine targets the last 2 or so years, but I would’ve hoped for someone less toxic and cringe tbh. I also would’ve hoped to leave the dreamscape missions in 2021 with 7DS. I really hope we get somebody more interesting next year.

The app won’t even let me verify my age if I wanted to and I couldn’t anyway because I’m not old enough

Instead of doing challenges… IOI relies on Twitch drop, social media (post on Insta)… That’s my opinion, but I don’t like this direction.

I love that this game is still going and ETs keep coming. We can all like or not like this one or that one, but the game is still rolling and I still love it.

I think I would have traded this whole year of ETs for one proper mission.

I have not cared at all about these real people.

Just gonna repeat what I said on the discord and in the speculation thread:

I’m not supporting this DLC or this venture. It’s bad enough you did a DLC for two months of limited time nature, then casually revealed during the mid-patch that the DLC would re-appear in re-runs. But now, you’re deliberately doing this to capitalise on the christmas holidays by running it for one month.

With the 007 First Light trailer that showed us nothing gameplay wise and was basically a goddamn car advert, and this, with it’s overstimulating trailer editing designed to look like a TikTok, and limited time DLC because that’s what the big-boys do! and you’re a big-boy AAA company now!

You are an embarrassment to your former pedigree IO. Shame on you.

I am so…unbelievably angry at you for doing the limited time DLC again.

At least with Fall Guys I know where I stand. See you in the New Year I suppose.

Hah, this is so unexpected! Next level CelebrET. Can’t wait to see what they’ve made.

Wow, company wants to make money during Christmas. Someone call the cops lol
