I’m so pumped for this one!! Hopefully it lives up to that trailer.
Seeing how Andor and K2S0 become paired up should be interesting and having K2SO in the show should bring in a few laughs to offset the darker tone (same way he did in Rogue One).

Obi Wan Kenobi Part 1 & 2
Pros:
Prequel Recap
Order 66
Ben Kenobi
Most of the Inquisitor’s are great
Cons:
Reva as a character feels like a generic power hungry antagonist and it doesn’t help that her actress’s acting feels ham fisted.
Child acting
A specific child plot that was the b-plot for part 1 is the entirety of Part 2 and it’s just not good.
Conclusion:
It’s a shame that this series is only six episodes long cause there is much to be desired from this series.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is as I predicted the best Star Wars live action tv-show. I love the Mandalorian, but there is something about the overall style that makes it feel like a drama from the 90’s/early 2000. It feels clunky and outdated.
Obi-Wan feels contemporary, well crafted and overall better produced.
My only complaint is Reva, the Inquisitor. You can smell the redemption from far away. I’m willing to bet that she will be redeemed and die in a heroic act to save Obi-Wan. She is a cool character, please just let her stay evil. Not everyone darkside user need to change from heel to hero.
I’ll give the show 5 out 5 “Hello There”
I just don’t understand how they are going to get Obiwan back to hiding where we find him in episode 4. I’m looking forward to it though (and hopefully a grand light sabre duel that finishes the last episode of the series between her and obiwan).
Obi-Wan won’t fight with anyone on Tatooine, problem solved. He will make sure he doesn’t draw anyone to Luke.
I guess but like the bounty puck has his face and they have already even been to tatoinne. Then the ordeal with the child . It’s all so close to spoiling all the main trilogy secrets lol.
Hey did you notice that Grand Inquisitor is played by Rupert Friend?
I don’t think it’s too big a stretch, actually. Yes, the inquisitors spread his picture around that planet but it wasn’t on Tatooine. He’s still mostly unknown there save for Owen (and we know what happens to him). Plus, it’s still another nine/ten years to A New Hope. That’s plenty of time for everyone on the planet to pretty much completely forget about this one guy who may have been related to a jedi/inquisitor thing once. As long as those inquisitors that knew he was on Tatooine don’t make it out of the series (likely) his secret is safe.
I did, I look forward to seeing how he evovloes. Even though ep.2 Suggest he dies, he doesn’t meet his end before Rebels.
Also Reva seems to be keeping her knowledge close to herself. She will probably die with that knowledge.
Well there are at least three other major characters who have survived lightsaber wounds so it’s not that unbelievable that he survived that gut wound. As my good friend Mr. White liked to say, “it’s one of the most painful places to get shot, but it takes a long time to die from your wound.”
Please remember to use spoiler tags, since a lot of these characters are tied to Rebels.
I didn’t know that! It makes alot more sense now. In my head I was just thinking at some point Reeva meets with Vader or Palpatine and they immediately know what’s in her head. Looking forward to how it goes.
I cannot spoil rebels as I’ve never seen it.
Dude but others have lol.
No, my point is I wouldn’t know what would be a Rebels spoiler and what wouldn’t. I have no idea what characters do or don’t show up in that series.
He doesn’t die due to his role in Rebels. So it’s a spoiler that he doesn’t die
Spoiler tied to Rebels that reveals a fate in Obi-Wan.
It’s still a spoiler, I can spoil it for you. If it is.
Or just assume not everyone has seen the episode yet. It just came out (=
Since I’m not going to watch it anyways: could one of you guys inform me if Jabba the Hutt makes an appearance? ![]()
Jabba hasn’t so far, but it’s only episode 2.
This will age like milk that’s all I’m gonna say about this.
Obi Wan Kenobi is taking some freedom with the canon. It’s pretty jarring seeing Obi Wan go off planet going against Yoda’s orders of protecting Luke. Also the Leia plot kinda is weird when you think about her distress message for Ben Kenobi in A New Hope. Obi Wan rescued her, but she omitted it from the message in A New Hope.
You are often wise, but this is a terrible mistake. If you should watch one Star Wars thing from the Disney era this is it.
