You probably waited for one to get up and see you. Or were too close and the NPC saw you aiming on him. That compromises you.
Yeah, definitely.
That’s why I usually plug 'em twice, just to be sure ![]()
IOI must’ve fucked around with the NPCs’ toilet detection algorithms when going from Hitman 2 to Hitman 3. Whatever they did is messing up “Houdini’s Great Escape” for me.
I’m trying to follow the old walkthrough for the level, like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiVWrHgzKeI
But now Guillaume insists on going to the sheikh’s bathroom to vomit, instead of the downstairs bathroom like shown in the Hitman 2 walkthrough.
The method you posted now requires me to burn precious time using the Sieker on both museum office guards, just to get Guillaume to go where he originally went. And not just burning time - but it also now completely messes up the timing of the original walkthrough on where NPCs need to be.
WTF did IOI do to the toilet detection algorithm to make this Featured Contract even more hideously annoying?!
EDIT: I’ve been playing and replaying this contract over and over and over again for the past couple hours. I finally got my fastest time. And all I wanna say is: GOD FUCKING DAMN IT.
Glad to hear that(I am the contract creator btw).![]()
I also love this one. I tried to do the sub 20 second method but 2 NPCs saw bodies through their little huts. Unreal IOI
Has anyone played the Legacy Featured Contract “Sniper Assassin: Ruins”? I’ve noticed an odd change going from Hitman 2 to Hitman 3.
In Hitman 2, from the ruins, you can see the grass behind Riccardo Lombardo through the sniper scope. That grass is important, because it’s where you need to lure him to in order to shoot him and have his body hidden.
However, in Hitman 3, you can no longer see the grass through the sniper scope:
I first thought there was a bug where the grass had been removed. But it’s actually still there, you just can’t see it at distance through the sniper scope. When you’re actually up close, you can see the grass is still there in Hitman 3. You just have to know where it is to lure Riccardo and have his body hidden in the invisible grass.
Correct, this was addressed in another thread. It’s phantom grass lol
The thing I dislike about that contract is Roberto Vargas starting position and whether he chooses to stay on the phone or walk away. It’s completely random I believe. I had to restart this one many times based on him ![]()
Another one I love here. Not my fastest run but any excuse to use a proximity demo block, I’ll take it. Too bad it wasn’t a speedrun so I could watch Nails fly into the abyss.
@ColdDayInHell I was able to complete A Frosty New Year in New York. What a pain without the electrocution phone. We are currently the only ones on Xbox with 5 stars.
Aside from Houdini’s Great Escape (because of the new toilet location), I hope the remaining of the 2020 contracts aren’t as annoying.
How did you do it that fast? Weapon lure? Nice job.
Or, did you use the explosion kill as a diversion while you set up the water cooler electrocution kill with a micro taser? lol
Magician never reveals his secrets. But I’m not a magician, so explosion to panic the lobby / kill the explosive kill target and cooler/emp electrocution.
On Uncool, I’m sorry but excessive coin lure or weapon lure glitch (which I need a lot of practice) does not make a good contract.
Yeah I figured that as much. I knew I was overthinking it when I played it first. It could have been faster but I hid in the bathroom container by accident lmao.
And I agree IRT to the ET phone. Some of these are painful without it.
Uncool was a weapon lure on Rico if that’s what you’re asking. That one was even more grueling.
Yeah, I saw your video but I am no good at the timer for the weapon lure glitch. It took a lot of practice (and swearing, I think my son now has the vocabulary of a sailor) to get the timing and what to do for each target.
Grab weapon the millisecond after they turn toward a guard. And yeah, I know the pain of that learning curve but it’s extremely useful, especially on dogshit contracts like Uncool.
I am jealous of your run in that you squeaked out a few more points than me.
Not intentionally, I’m just a stubborn glutton for punishment. It’s really awful and I’m actually getting burnt out from Hitman.
You beat me on Symphony of Destruction by about 2 minutes so, you can be happy. I messed up on Mendez with a breaching charge so I had to get some of the racing booster and blast him into the water that way lol.
This one was interesting without the ET phone. It’s being edited now due to servers being fucky last night.
Ugh I do that too every now and then. Sometimes I even throw the NPC over the railing instead of hiding him in the box ![]()
I was getting burnt out from Hitman as well but I’ve been trying to SA every single Featured Contracts and I’m amazed on how much fun it’s been.
I thought I knew every level like the back of my hand, turns out I’m still learning new stuff even in the legacy levels. What a phenomenal trilogy. I really wish we had more maps. Because eventually I’m going to get burnt out for real.
New meaningful content will prevent that but who knows what we’ll end up getting by the end of the year. In the meantime I encourage anyone who’s not into contracts to give it a go.
Wow I would’ve never thought to snipe the car from that spot. Good stuff
