The only good thing that came with it is the free Elegy RH8. The GT-R parody was the king of sports car races in Online for years until newer and more expansive ones arrived. It along with the game’s audiences created a bit too much GT-R fanboyism, though.

While this is happening, I’m playing the original version of Vice City with no major headache, listening to Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean on Flash FM.

I see it from three perspectives.

Haven’t played them in awhile and want to play them but don’t have access to older versions? Then buy it.
Buying it to just play a game despite you playing them? Don’t wait for a sale.
First Time playing them? Go ahead you won’t know the differences

Personally, wait for the sale. Patches have to come cause the backlash is apparent and this might be the worst rated R* game ever cause of it. They dropped the ball in a lot of areas and it’s clear no Q.A wasn’t done when you have checkpoint system that bug out missions prompting a complete hard restart of the application to fix it.

Games are fun, but I’m waiting to continue on to San Andreas and 3 after beating Vice City.

Not every model is enhanced too.

And all Bank Robbers outfits except Tommy’s aren’t enhanced.

Im probably gonna wait for a sale. I dont mind the odd glitch here and there. Probably adds to the fun even. But things like mission breaking stuff doesnt sound too hot. And the rain looks just plain atrocious.

Did Warcraft 3 Reforged get fixed even though it was Blizzard’s most abysmal release? No. Was the X360 / PS3 port of San Andreas (also made by GroveStreet Games) fixed? No.

Do yourself a favor and look for the retail copies of the OG GTA Trilogy on Ebay or Amazon or anything similar. You’ll have a better experience playing those

Im sure ive got the originals for the ps2 somewhere. But i dont have my ps2 hooked up anymore. I like the convenience of just booting games up without the need of a disc. I hope patches will do enough.

I basically said this about the GTA Trilogy in a discord that I am in.

I’ll reiterate what I said, GTA Trilogy is fun, but it’s for it being advertised as the Definitive way to play it in the state it is in is far from the truth. I was very excited for this title, these games especially GTA Vice City or San Andreas hold a special spot for me. They are comfort games from our youth that we praise and look back upon with nostalgia. The more information I learned about the game pre release the more I grew cautious especially with the whole War Drum Studios being Grove Street Games. But I though maybe the company changed since 2013 with their practices since the mobile port of San Andreas is universally regarded among the GTA Community as terrible. GTA SA - Why Remaster is Garbage? [Part 1] - Feat. BadgerGoodger - YouTube GTA SA - Why Remaster is Garbage? [Part 2] - Feat. BadgerGoodger - YouTube but I digress. I was excited, I normally don’t get excited for some stuff. Hell I love Skyrim and put it up there as a comfort game too cause it has that charm and mystique to it when you just sit back and look around. But I always form my opinions after experiencing this stuff first hand which leads me into the release of this Trilogy. I can point out so many good things about this game, but for every good thing I can point out two bad things. This isn’t me blowing it out of proportion like most people on Reddit it’s me looking at it from a more “educated” mindset since I went ahead and clocked in around 20 hours in this trilogy before forming my final opinion about it. Between Uncompiled legacy files from the originals development to the A.I upscaled models and textures this product was hastily put together without any form of QA/Human interventions taken to prevent any of this. The titles are half baked and still needed time in the proverbial oven. While a lot of things are there and the games can be completed the games shouldn’t be having these performance issues atleast not on decent/high end PC Rigs and Consoles outside of Nintendo Switch. The games are fun, I enjoy the new map system, the radio wheel is aesthetically pleasing, and while aiming being clunky I enjoy it. But after playing and beating Vice City with the initial high from nostalgia wearing off I can say with the state that it is in I don’t recommend this title to people at-least not until a sale occurs or they fix the games, make adjustments to the ambience, and just overall performance boost. We know they have the power to retroactively change stuff post release cause they did it with a sign in Vice City so the expectations are there. But I typed enough about this I’m tired.

Overall I’m not beating San Andreas and 3 until changes are made. I refuse to. The fixes are coming at-least according to support but these games need a overhaul even if R* decides to outsource to fan modders cause of their gross incompetence with Grove Street Games.

You know a issue exists when I’m telling people to buy that I’m playing Skyrim Anniversary Edition over this cause I can consistently enjoy it over this trilogy and it’s copious amounts of issues.
