might use this eventually
probably not away
Yes. HCCE is working again. Thank you Urben.
Try to uninstall Fiddler (you might need to backup the hcce folder) and check manually that this removed it’s certificate and do it yourself if needed.
After that try to install it again.
Can anyone make a quick tutorial on how to setup HCCE with the SDK? Like I know you have to extract the latest release into H3’s install directory and… that’s it :x
(Also would be nice if @Urben could add that tutorial to the OP once it’s written)
You probably only have to follow the steps on the SDK site (scroll a bit down) and after that just launch Fiddler with HCCE.
If the SDK is confusing, you can also try to use this software instead:
You don’t need to use it to connect to any of the unofficial servers, what matters is that this program is also able to disable the Cert pinning of Hitman which should make HCCE work.
I don’t know how it looks today as I checked it out years ago, but if it did not change much it is not too complicated and intuitive.
I am sorry how troublesome this whole thing became (needing Fiddler, HCCE as a plugin and now a third program on top of it)
Should be quite simple - don’t need to adjust anything in Fiddler/HCCE itself - but I will write a quick guide on the SDK for convenience:
- Download the SDK (Release) from the Github page.
- Copy the contents into HITMAN 3>Retail folder.
- Start Hitman
- Bring up the SDK menu using “`¦¬~” key (below Escape)
- Press Mods
- Tick which you want to activate, the important one here is Online Tools (I had CertPinBypass above using an out of date version, same thing though. If you have CertPinBypass version just tick that and skip to the last step)
- Press OK
- Reopen the SDK Menu
- Press Online Tools
- Tick “Bypass SSL Certificate Pinning”
- Close the SDK Menu.
That’s it (if it doesn’t take effect straight away, restart the game). You should now be able to create HCCE contracts as normal again.
I’ll try tommorow in the evening maybe, tnx anyway.
Someone with access to HCCE should really create a redux of the infamous Vatican Privilege contract with all instant fail complications kept in plus making the Priest disguise mandatory. And if possible it should also be a featured contract. I am certain
there are completionists who are like “screw this I’m just gonna wear what I want” and my suggestion will say to them “unscrew this and screw you you’re just gonna to wear exactly what we tell you to”. So in order to win gotta learn how to particle jump or get lucky shooting the priest’s body from the roof…and the latter is assuming there’s no “all shots must hit an NPC” complication.
I’m fairly certain you would already have been able to do that for years without HCCE since Vatican Privilege doesn’t require any specific weapon :x
try set “perform” to “skip”, then your Internet should work again
Mind sending me instructions for the fiddler in the dms?
After hours of trial and Error I finally managed to solve this too relating the message “Make sure you own the location of the contract …” while I tried uploading/recreating a Steam contract to Epic.
What I did was:
- Linking the IOI Account with my Epic account on ioi.dk
- Downloading ZHM Mod SDK and inserting it into epic as well as steam folder
- within both games I have activated the “CertBinBypass” under “Mods”
- After I have activated it, I left Epic Hitman WoA running and started Fiddler, inserted the beforehand created .json of my contract and published/recreated it.
Note: If you do not find “Certbinbypass” in the current ZHM version, note that it was deleted/updated, I went back to an older release of ZHM just to extract certbinbypass only and paste it into the mod folders - done.
(I took the Certbinbypass release from April 2024)
Idk if someone else recently had this issue too but its working flawlessly right now.
I hope I could help with this.
Is that upload contract(not ingame create) briefing limit is 500 ?I upload a contract and I find that it not uploaded my all briefing words…Could it get fixed?
The editor of mine should allow 1000 characters, twice the amount of ingame. The pure json should be unconstrained. If the game cuts off at 500 despite using HCCE then that could be a recent change to stop HCCE users from adding longer briefings.
IOI doesn’t want our fanfics in their servers
No longer storing my harddrive backups as base64 briefings
