Can we get a Codename 47 Stream featuring Rasmus Højengaard for its 25th anniversary? I’m sure he has some interesting anecdotes to share about creating this absolute masterpiece.
Nothing special. My sister is a big Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones fan, so when I showed her the Elusive Target Arcade for the Undying with Sean Bean, she thought it was funny. In particular, killing him first with the pen in the eye, and then his return with the eye patch.
Just a shout out to the Heralds and moderators for their time in the HMF, a true labour of love.
No one in particular, but thanks to the FC curators for some enjoyable picks for the Featured Contracts.
I’ll second the request for a Codename 47 remaster.
Although not on the HMF, a shout out to local organizers for a convention, who were able to bring David Bateson and Jane Perry. A real pleasure and honour to meet them. Unfortunately, my work and travels have taken me away from the forum for the better part of the year, but I will post pictures over the holidays.
If it’s a kill I’ve done, I would say a recent one on a contract (by @djsojus ) sniping a guard in New York right in front of another one, right before Athena Savalas walks in, and hiding his body behind a desk in the process, it took me many attempts but so satisfying when I got it:
If a kill in general I would say one I saw recently that was kind of crazy was Duller killing Soders with the throw glitch. I still don’t fully understand what I’m even witnessing:
I don’t really have one for the community as a whole but, as it’s a gratitude thread, for me personally I would like to thank everyone on HMF for making me feel welcome and part of the Hitman family on here, as I only joined in April this year. To shoutout one person in particular, again for me not the community, I want to say thanks again to @The_Elite_Institute for giving me my first Featured Contract!
In general the slice of life/wholesome arts and fanfics on tumblr and AO3.
A creator with a fun clip or highlight?
Cassidy (CassidyCope on twitch) absurd challenges highlight series:
TheKotti Mastery 20 speedrun, and his Blood Money ESASummer showcase (not a speedrun, but the complete deconstruction of a single level):
Any question you would want to ask a dev?
Not a question per se, but I would love to see devs have a look back at the Paris Showstopper mission in a stream.
Talk about design that were born there that then evolved, what ideas never went anywhere afterward, what would be done differently if Paris was done now with a full trilogy and a decade worth of experience.
A more direct question, also about the early time of the trilogy: Were non-target accident kill once designed like in blood money? ie: acceptable for Silent Assassin.
Because Paris is very trigger happy on causing collateral in its story missions and other curated accident opportunities. Something that went away afterward.
And if not, what was it with those collaterals?
1: My kill of the year was taking out Hannelore with the sniper in H2SA. Not hard in itself, but having to nail a single shot to avoid being heard combined with racing to get up there to temporarily hide the body before going up again after getting the key was an absolute rush.
2: @v1deost for making my banger profile pic and FC template. And also @Marchouette who has been a huge help, especially as she responds in the blink of an eye!
3: Not one in particular, but shout out to the YouTubers that do some fab runs of FCs
4: Please can we get a VR adaption of a classic game. Flat2VR would nail it. I look at how great something like RE4 classic or Tomb Raider VR is and makes me wish for something similar with Hitman. Even if you just let Team Beef make a mod like theyve done with Doom, Duke, Tomb Raider, Exhumed etc.
Can we have “The brothers” cut mission? I would like to kill other two Caruso Brothers. And Methlab, the other cut mission in Sapienza? Other bonus missions?
I had probably the best one during my Freelancer shenanigans: this year I delved into modding the game, and I loved Freelancer Variations (so @Kevin_Rudd probably deserves a spot for the second question, at least for me).
So, at my 100th campain, my targets were quite literally Dmitry Vegas and his bodyguard in Berlin. Setting up beautiful kills is a rarity, so this gift of random was very satisfying (as well as the music for the kill)))
I haven’t been playing that much this year outside of elusive targets and new unlocks so I don’t have a favourite I’ve done this year but if I can choose one I’ve watched it would be this
Really everyone this community has been very kind to me but if I can only say one it would be @v1deost that Mendoza silent assassin animation is the best thing ever
Does this count?
What’s your favourite suit / disguise from any of the hitman games or what’s a suit / disguise you’d like to add one day
Thank you for caring about our feedbacks and suggestions, it is nice to help shaping the World Of Assassination, looking forward to the future of HITMAN and the franchise overall
It would be cool to give more insights about the development of the HITMAN trilogy, through a new set of making ofs or maybe some interesting stories from the developers themselves
Hello. Thank you for having opened this thread.
I think it can also serve for feedbacks, not only gratification.
This year has been marked by the Premium DLCs, and the seasons that have followed (a habit of the past years).
It was a good initiative to make The Undying and The Drop playable permanently.
I hope that to extend the life cycle of the game - if it is in your plans -, you can consider free meaningful content, such as a bonus mission or a new game mode.
Disengagement with McGregor has proven that you still have a strong ethic, which is pleasing.
Regarding the communication on social networks, I found that it was lacunous if the aim was mainly to inform about live content.
Indeed, you had to inform yourself on this forum to know the reactivations of elusive targets for instance (you could make a single roadmap per season to announce the reactivations for example, with the dates, because there are many targets).
You have been very generous this year with elusive targets that said, thank you.
I feel like you’ve put more emphasis on community and player channels than live content, which can be a different way of communicating.
The choice of promoting contracts that exploit bugs (move the character outside of the game area for example) as featured contracts is daring.
It reveals that you want to shake players up, that you want to push them to explore the game in unconventional ways.
Personally, I’m not a fan of it, but FC lovers would have better feedbacks than me.
On minor notes, I find that the unlockables are not necessarily very elaborate, while they could also extend the life cycle of the game.
Offering new weapons (a silent striker for example) or tools with unique or varied features could improve the gameplay and experience. I suggest this thread:
You allowed this year to unlock themed NPC suits, like Super fan or Plague doctor.
This is a great thing, but it opens up tons of possibilities because each player has suits in the missions they like.
Feel free to continue.
All year long, we have been waiting for seasonal decorations for the safehouse in Freelancer mode. The decorations (especially for Halloween and Christmas) had been teased in an announcement video of this game mode, so it is a bit disappointing.
I think we can assume that it is no longer on the agenda.
Thank you for making us dream with the prestigious collaboration with JCVD for the end of the year.
Let’s keep in touch on this forum.
Edit - December 14
I just saw the new decorations in the safehouse. Thanks a lot!
