One thing I miss from Absolution is the variety of melee/unarmed animations and takedowns.
Vice City and Ratchet and Clank, dude.
I do too, and alot of the guns. It had such a huge variety of guns, and way better gunplay. And, of course, dual silverballers.
Absolution wasnât without itâs bright sides, thatâs for sure. Gunplay, animations, majority of levels, though linear, had a lot to offer in terms of exploration and assassination opportunities. Even the soundtrack wasnât half bad (way better then the new one in my opinion). The only thing I really hated about it was the plot.
Does anyone know when reviews for the game come out. Based on 2018 Iâm guessing Monday-ish.
yeah, probably Monday
Iâm amazed they havnât added an Agent 17 suit yet. I mean, itâs just the regular suit but the tie is orange and with sunglasses. Would of thought you could whip it up in an hour or two really.
Not sure if it has been mentioned on here, but if youâre an existing customer with Green Man Gaming, you can get a 10% discount on pre-ordering Hitman 3. Apparently I can âshareâ my discount code with up to 5 people for the next 4 days. Not too sure how that works to be honest, anyone else use GMG?
I am going to guess a 7 to 8 (or I guess 70 to 80) review range. Not that there is anything wrong with that of course.
Agreed. The cons will be the similarities with Hitman 2 and (of course) goofy AI and bugs. Pros will be level design and pretty much everything else.
IO doesnât have the money CDPR has, so it will be a 70-80 range, sadly. The 100 are reserved for amazingly great games or paid reviews.
I would put story down for a con as well.
Im having it more at 8 to 8.5. Which is weird considering im yet to play it.
Love the reference
Reference?
Oh yeah that is a Seinfeld reference isnât it? Purely unintentional.
Eh, I feel a story could be seen as a con in the previous two games mainly because of its glaring absence. These days it seems any game with a noteable story gets extra points, so if the story will affect the game in a more meaningful way, it will be a pro (even if the story is illuminati tripe).
I like to think those words where never put in that exact order before Seinfeld.
It doesnât seem that way to me, I have seen some narrative heavy games get panned. The most recent example from my memory is Twin Mirror which was narrative heavy
I think the thing about game reviews is that they are tailored so much for the most general audience. My preferences (and everyone elseâs here) are tailored to love the Hitman games, so the arbitrary number wonât affect how I view the game in my subjective way at all.
Giving a 86 to a game as broken and generic as Cyberpunk 2077 is an insult to a general, specific or any audience. Thatâs why these reviews are shit. Game journalists are the joke of the industry.
Iâm afraid I donât know that one. Maybe I havenât watched many reviews, but I always find games with upfront stories are praised for them, despite the fact that 9/10 are worse than reddit fan fiction. I think stories in games only get panned when they negatively affect the gameplay directly - like that bit in Absolution when 47 has to carry the girl in the hospital.
The unfavourable reviewers of Cyperpunk all woke up with horse heads in their beds, so you canât blame the ones that bullshitted and claimed the game was good.
