Description: The walls on the ladder that connects the bedroom to the basement becomes see through when looked at from certain angles

sometimes this noise does show up for me, sometimes it doesnt. it’s a strange thing. send in a ticket is my recommendation

Description: There are a few bags of bricks set around level. If they are kicked and drop on target, they count as falling object kill. However, if they are shot down, they count as “Any Method”.

Steam

The Disruptor Cane in the Disruptor DLC was clearly cloned from the Devil’s Cane (the one from the Greed escalation that spawns coins when you KO someone with it) because although coins don’t spawn when KOing with the Distruptor Cane, the special coin sound effect still plays.

Contents:
The location of ”Ambrose Island” in the stage selection screen was recently changed,
However, only the location of “Ambrose Island” in the contract creation process is in a different position.
If everything is to be consistent, shouldn’t ”Ambrose Island” be located between ”Whittleton Creek” and ”Isle of Sgaill” when creating a contract?
I think this is more of a configuration error than a glitch.

Reproduction procedure:

  1. Select the contract in game mode.
  2. Select Create Contract.
  3. “Ambrose Island” is located to the far right of the HTIMAN2 stage group on the selection screen.

Occurrence frequency:
Always.

Also, this is not related to this report, but I am also concerned that the list of stages in the contract search is still HITMAN3, HITMAN2, and HITMAN from the top.
Since we can now play from the 1st stage in WoA, I think that the order could be HITMAN, HITMAN2, and HITMAN3 from the top.

Isle of Sgail

When starting from the default starting location and entering into the castle, when walking past the four guards - the big doors that open themselves to reveal the lower courtyard with the bar area do not make any sound as they open. This bug does not occur on Steam.

Ironically, this is just after you run past the portcullis that previously made no noise that was fixed in the last patch.

EDIT: Ok, so it seems like its not just this door in Sgail that is broken. Just found a bunch of doors in Dubai that also have no sounds:


EDIT 2: …and the Goldbrick Proximity Mine (the sedative snail) is now completely silent and the sound it makes to lure people to it is completely missing.

Tagging @Combatglue because this is just ridiculous. A bunch of random SFX have gone AWOL in the new patch on PS5. Though the snail sound is also missing on Steam.

There is also these posts slightly further up the thread about missing sounds too, though these were reported for Xbox but I can confirm are also missing on PS5:

The description of the “Crime Fighter” challenge is erroneously mentionning “killing 1000 head syndicate” instead of “100”.

Haven’t checked if its been mentioned before but:

Description:
The new fur coat suit from the disruptor doesn’t appear to have sunglasses on in the mirrors reflection.
I get the glas part itself doesnt show in mirrios, but here its the glasses themselves that are missing.
Noticed last night before i logged off. Happened in every mirror in the safehouse.

Have no idea why this happens, but after rebooting a laptop all the key mapping settings are getting reset and I need to change controls efectively every time I boot the game.
Also the button `(~) can’t be used as an Inventory button as when I press this button to map it, the game crashes to desktop straight away.
Started to notice this shit since 3.190 update.
Don’t know if it’s platform specific, but I’m on Steam and AMD processor which I’m starting to dislike.

Anybody has an idea of what’s going on and how to force the game remember my settings?

Holiday Hoarders

When playing a contract created in Holiday Hoarders, if you kill one of the targets from the main Holiday Hoarders mission - Diana’s “target down” dialogue will play. Even if they aren’t a target in the contract you are playing.

Yeah i mentioned that one when they first came out. It’s so weird. So many easy fixes in the gsme they could do to pad out the patch notes.

Someone asked on Reddit some months ago about rebinding keys and the reply was that the data’s saved in (Windows) registry and that the values are listed in hexidecimal, but didn’t specify directories.

You didn’t specify if you’re playing on Windows Steam (or via Linux possibly?)

When I searched in my Win11 registry, this is where the keybinds are saved…

Computer\HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-3122916084-826303799-947800872-1001\Software\IO Interactive\HITMAN3\Input

(and yes, values are shown in hexidecimal)

So my guess would be that your registry isn’t allowing saving of this info? Did you do the usual “verify files” within Steam? Also, when you’ve set your keys (excluding remapping the ` / ~ key), have you been able to exit the game afterward without crash?

I have Intel processor, but I doubt that’s the cause. Could it be that your / ~ key is mapped to something on your laptop generally and it's conflicting with "Hitman 3" / WoA key re-mapping? Or, do you use the / ~ key for other applications’ hotkey also?

PS: I have a different, consistent silent crash: after the Steam client update on 11 September (ironically, the same day when Hitman 3 also updated to 3.20), if I use Steam Overlay within “Hitman 3” / WoA, game silently crashes 100% re-producible. I play 4 games daily via Steam, and I use the overlay within all of them, but Hitman is the only one crashing; it’s been 14 days so I’m likely gong to report it via Zendesk (posted to Steam already). There are a few others who appear to have the same problem.

It’s Windows 11 I’m playing on.
I don’t think something prevents to use this key in the system.
My thinking it’s some conflict with other game, but in reality it’s dumb if that’s true.
I have Sims 3 installed and this key pauses the game.
I tried to cheat and just modify registry with my PC data, in the settings it shows that the key for Inventory is ``(~) but during gameplay it does not work and seems game is glitchy with this.
I have no problems with the game except this little thing while binding key for Inventory.
I didn’t try to bind it to other action but I presume result will be the same - the crash.
I can remap and save settings with no problems if I’m not using this `(~) button.
After the last attempt I have reinstalled HITMAN completely just in case, but it didn’t change the situation.
I assume the system has no issues with registry in terms of saving and retreiving data

And seems I defined why the whole controls are being reset. It’s because using this ` button to bind for Inventory. Will monitor further to confirm it’s the case

Yesterday, before looking for the specific registry directory, I tested mapping “Inventory” to the “~” key as I was curious if it’s a key disallowed by IO programming (unlikely), and it worked fine (saved, could use in-game), but did not exit the game with re-mapped, and changed it back to my usual key before exiting game as I have “Inventory” mapped on a side button of mouse for the various games I play (that side button is mapped to a keyboard key).

I do not “The Sims 3” nor do I use “~” in any other game; when I had Win10, I mapped that key in a universal program so that “~” would take screenshots, but I have been using that key for typing text more frequently, I mapped the universal program’s screenshot to another key.

Do you have an Nvidia graphics chip? If yes, do you have GeForce Experience enabled? I was in its overlay, viewing shortcuts and it shows default key of “`” (not “~”) for “Push to Talk”.

It shouldn’t cause a crash, but “Hitman”, for me, is the only game that allows additional GeForce Expierence function (“Highlight”) than other games, which usually only enable the general recording, Ansel, etc.

I do have Nvidia but using this new Nvidia App which they pushing instead of GeForce Experience.
Maybe it causes crashes, might try to check, though I don’t use overlay.

UPD: remapped push-to-talk function which was binded to ` button but with no profit, disabled overlay at all, still crashes. And it turns out that other keys crash the game also. Tried to to bind [ key, crashed immediately.
This is getting even more strange. Will try to uninstall this Nvidia App

UPD2: unistalled Nvidia App and installed GeForce Experience. Same shit.
I have no idea why. But it’s good to hear that this button works for you.
Means I need keep digging or blame AMD for this crap

**Location: Ambrose Island
**Description:
A. cannot use “place” function for any firearm, melee weapon, coins nor (attaché case-style) container on floor of this house; causes these items to appear red.

A1. exception: breaching charge, flash phone, and explosive phone can be placed on surfaces (floor, table, and mattresses).

A2. coin can be placed on mattresses and portions of the table (enclosed by white highlight when pressing “Place Item” key).

B. dropping a firearm, coin (attaché case-style) container, breaching charge, flash phone, explosive phone on floor to lure pirate (guard) Durgeswar Dhingra, who sits outside facing the beach, further into this house, or to take away the item to “weapon repository box” will not work as he will walk to wherever the sound lure was (as close as the door behind where he sits or as far as the opposite wall) without noticing the item.

B1. Placing breaching charge, flash phone or explosive phone on floor will not prompt the guard to pick them up.

B2. Placing a firearm (small, handheld SMGs or pistols), coin, breaching charge, remote explosive or phone on table or edges of mattress (further on mattress makes the item unreachable for NPCs) will cause the NPC to pick up, per standard / expected behavior.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start the game
  2. Load Ambrose Island “Shadows in the Water” story mission or a contract at this destination
  3. Choose a starting position (village social hub is closest)
  4. Equip one or more of the following: firearm, coin or (attaché case-style) container
  5. Start mission. Exit blending, go to southeast, climb the steps, and enter through back door of house (front door is visible to guard in question as well as others).
  6. attempt to place firearm, coin or (attaché case-style) container on the floor of the specified house.
  7. If you would like to view the lure-and-pick-up aspect, open door nearest the outside guard, throw something (can on table, bottle on counter or whatever object you choose) then run out the other door and watch the guard.

Frequency: always happens; discovered it in Freelancer, tested for confirmation in contracts and story mode. Note that I was able to use the now-prohibited items as lures in May and June 2024 when I played through the story mission.

Attached is screenshot with target Durgeswar Dhingra (he was assigned as kill target for easier visibility; he need not be the kill target) and 47 standing inside the house with the problematic floor.
