Hitman 2 expansion pass was well worth it to me for the two new maps. As meh as the special assignments were, at least they were the sprinkles on top of a great sundae.
The people want to know!
Even darker? I really enjoy going back to the Last Resort after the dark-ish H3. I would want them to go the other direction in the dlc. But either is fine really
Maybe they can do a story that starts of fairly “typical hitman” , say, in Miami and the story gets darker and mysterious gradually till the last mission, say, in Berlin. Or the other way around, But either is fine really…
I wish that ski resort would come into fruition. But probably there will be some bonus missions OSLT. Which are fine with me (if they’re good, in the Landslide/AHBOS type of way).

I voiced this wish before: but how about this you guys: A brand new map, with the plot set a few months after 47 entering the shag cabin (
) the very plot is supposed to be what happens before whatever is next for 47 (Hitman IV).
It could even give us a snowy map in the woods.
That is true, but what if this H3 DLC just ends up being a pack just of Special Assignment-level of effort missions (as in like if the H2 Expansion Pass didn’t contain The Bank or the The Resort)? That’s why I won’t be pre-ordering in case the content is poor.
This would be harakiri for them.
Public outrage. The end of the world.
But most of all, levels of disappointment you didn’t know existed.
They’ve said no new maps, and the deluxe version only came with bonus escalations this time, so I think it is very up in the air if we get anything beyond a year of escalations and featured contracts. Their vague statements so far promise nothing else really.
If they do later release an actual DLC pack with bonus missions or whatever then yeah, I wouldn’t blame people for waiting to make sure they’re closer to Landslide than A Bitter Pill.
They kinda rolled out the PC H2 map transfer quietly and did not promise this extra content when advertising H3. IO learned how much pressure early promises can cause. I am quite confident we won’t just see 4 Special Assignments.
They want HIII to leave us on a high note. They know what we like by now. They’d have to be crazy to throw Special Assignments at us again.
Plot twist, the whole blood money and absolution become playable with the H3 engine. No new maps, still lot of maps!~
I don’t think this will happen. HITMAN 2 Special Assignments are controversial in the sense of quality.
Personally speaking compared to the SBM the SA lack replay ability and don’t really bring much to the table outside of being what feel like glorified elusive targets. The longevity of the levels cease to exist since the changes are minor at best.
HITMAN 2016 personally speaking had the best content cycle but that’s because they had the SBM spread across its main content life cycle. While new maps and mastery tracks were nice for HITMAN 2 if HITMAN 3 kept it where we had things up to the quality of Landslide, and The Icon with the consistency of Challenge Packs that Hitman 2 added wrapping it all up with a paid for GOTY DLC up to par with Patient Zero to end its content cycle I don’t think much complaints would be made about it.
Diana and Agent 47 have babies, and then mini 47 as a toddler, garrotes the evil nursery attendant with the rope from his Fisher Price swing set.
Well, most developers want their games to be successful, enjoyable and without any game or immersion breaking bugs. The reality can be different. Look no future than Cyberpunk.
It really depends on how much time and resources they still want to invest in this game. And how much resources are available in the first place since most of their employees probably working on the new 007 project right now.
That said ,Hitman III seems to have sold surprisingly well. So I’m optimistic that we get some really good Bonus Episodes instead of Special Assignments and the “meh” Patient Zero campaign.
I’m hoping we get a missions built around a mini campaign like ‘Patient Zero’. Obviously these will be built around existing locations, however, Miami for example this time could be throwing it down with rain, or Isle of Sgail with snow.
Unfortunately, Baby 4.7 was spotted on a baby monitor hidden in a teddy bear, and all the other attendants are now searching for a furious-looking teletubby. Can 4.7 exfiltrate in the storage rack of a baby buggy before he’s caught and forced to take a nap?
Teddy bear of Baby 4.7 contains remote demo block inside.
Baby 4.7 mini puke of Gerber Food works as emetic device.
Baby 4.7 baby rattle, shoots out mini ninja stars, blinding the victims who bends down to look into baby carriage.
I don’t really expect IO to repeat the Special Assignments “mistake” again, but I’m just going to act on the side of caution and avoid any DLC pre-ordering/buying within minutes of the blogpost saying its out until the content is out and I’ve seen some footage to know exactly what I’m buying this time around.
