Hitman 3 DLC in the Works

I’m still reeling from this in last year’s Forum Awards :upside_down_face:

Yeah I’m a bit disappointed

I’m not really sure if it is do-able, but how about a mode where you can pick and choose from all your previous targets, from Showstopper to Untouchable, up to say 4-5 targets, and put them in existing maps, for instance hunting down Edwards, Carusso, and Delgado in Hokkaido?

And they’re given routines that fits the chosen map and their persona?

That would’ve been fun, no?

It’s the results for the Most Iconic Duo category of the Forum Awards.

Please give us a DLC with Lucas Grey. You killed him off so early, so at least give us some DLC with him!

(Talking for everyone from the Lucas Grey Fanclub. So basically @Bourbon and me).

The gang goes to the nudist resort. You have the option of which clone you play as. Mayhem ensues.

I was hoping for old locations from previous game.

While I’d rather be able to access my levels from Hitman 2, that will hopefully come sometime soon, so I’ll let myself get excited by this. Personally I liked a lot of what Patient Zero did, despite it not being perfect, so I’d be happy to see something like that again; a mini-campaign with heavily modified versions of the main maps (like the first mission of PZ in Bangkok, or like Landslide or A House Built on Sand.) Really was hoping in my wildest dreams for remade missions from previous games using Hitman: WOA’s gameplay, but I think that would more likely be a future release. My best hope would have been for brand new levels, but with the story ending the way it did, I don’t see that happening. I’ll take reimagined versions of the levels we already have, though. I’ll definitely be happy with that.

Really hoping for true bonus missions like Landslide, but we’ll see what happens. The second pair of special assignments were a little better and worth a few bucks, but obviously I’d really like something with more oomph to it.

Always a chance they’re just talking about escalations and elusive targets, which would be a bummer.

Be fair. Now @MrOchoa and @badeaguard would say:

“Please give us a DLC with Ochoa back from the grave holding a Baller. You killed him off so early (The very first game) So at least give us some DLC with him!”

Yeah but they already have the levels and the model of Lucas Grey so it would be less effort

I would still love a DLC or mission where we play as the snper duo or Grey, not abole to change disguise. Or only special disguises. Would spice it up a bit, I think!

As much as I reckon I’d totally be onboard for a Lucas Grey DLC, here’s why I think they wouldn’t

  • Swapping disguises has been noted in game as an odd thing that only 47 does. So a Grey mission would mean we’d have to cut the disguise system. That’s such a big part of the gameplay that I’m not sure a level could work without it

  • Grey is by all means a serious character within the narrative. So the level would have to lose a lot of the humour we get from 47 doing funny one-liners or silly kills (and dressing up as other people)

  • Do we believe Grey also has such heightened senses he can use instinct? (I’m not going to argue either way because there’s an argument for both sides so :man_shrugging:)

In summary, a lot of the gameplay is based around inherently 47 qualities, and they can’t all just be put on Grey as they don’t fit with his character

HOWEVER, this is all under the assumption we’d be getting a lore-friendly DLC mission. What I instead suggest (to appease the Grey stans) is we simply get to unlock a Lucas Grey starting disguise so we can play as him in every level. Obviously it’ll make no lore sense and he’ll have Bateson’s voice but hey, why not have fun with it? Also there is a Diana in-game model :smirk:

How about an evening time Miami set around the flamingo hotel?

Just do several bonus missions throughout the coming months / years for every released map from the trilogy.
Maybe even more than one, too.

I know it is easy to say “Just do” but … that is what I think would benefit the overall package and is actually what I thought IO would do when they announced HITMAN as a platform back in 2015.
Don’t let my dreams die, IOI! Please!

I get your points. But Grey has the same abilities as 47. So I think taking on disguises is something he learned as much as 47. How would he just entered the room of that russian guy if not disguised? And yes, I think he also has the same senses as 47 (same argument).

And for the fun: isn’t he funny? I thought he was funny in Dubai, the way how he described Ingram, how he talked about the constant (glorified desk clerk)… I think there is some potential, especially with him and Olivia as his handler. I think they would make a funny couple.

Wow, I would take two new levels over the bonus missions of H2016 any day. The Bank and Haven were really great levels which I see in line with any other location in the trilogy (minus NZ and Romania). I really enjoyed Landslide, and the Icon was ok, but by the time the Author rolled around I was so totally sick of Sapienza that it seemed as if every bad thing in the world happened in this small Italian town. To be fair though, the exhaustion of Sapienza made sense because the main mission underutilized the town, but I don’t think the H2 and H3 levels made this mistake, so bonus missions wouldn’t add as much to the maps as I think they did in H2016. Mumbai, I guess could have some more going on in the slums, and maybe Berlin could have a more traditional bonus level, but other than that I can’t think of anything. Also, I liked that Haven and the Bank progressed the story, and I am not saying the story should be advanced now because it is done, but maybe a new location could show us a mission with the new status quo between Diana and 47 to really rap everything up. Anyway, we will probably get bonus missions with 47 still working for the ICA instead

Yeah but there was a complete drought of content when they worked on Haven and The Bank. I don’t want that again.
