Can anyone explain why people seem so hung up on getting a level with snow in it? We already had one and it was Ok, but not earth shattering. Is it just falling snow? What’s the big deal?
Thanks. I still don’t think it’s that great of an idea, but I suppose that makes sense then.
I just hate snow is all. I moved from a snowy area to the middle of the desert in real life just to get away from it.
I’m sure you’d enjoy it here (Though if you want it complete with the rain, it’s as annoying as anywhere else ). Hopefully you’ll have a chance to visit!
Like I said, I believe it’s accurate enough in terms of visuals (judging by the pics of HB I saw), it’s more about the “feel” of the place. Colorado looks definitely like the proper American mid-West, but I could probably easily confuse it with any state in that part of the US. Then again, I’ve never been to either of those, so I’m just gonna keep my mouth shut
I think that Khandanyangan would be cool but after what happened with the movie The Interview in 2014 (Sony hack, etc…), I don’t think that IOI would want to go out of their way to make what would basically be a Kim Jong-un murder simulator. Not mentioning that I don’t think that a game like this would ever be released in China.
Illinois to Arizona. I haven’t seen snow in person in years now and it’s been great. No one has to shovel sunshine!
Hokkaido’s snow festival was more than enough snow for me for one game. If it’s there, great, fine and good, but it not, I’m not going to stress over it. I do think an airport would be a good location though.
Aside from the nostalgia for the snowy levels of games past? Well one reason is variety (so far mostly sunny levels), another is the fact that we got a bunch of winter gear unlocks and no map to properly use them in (Hokkaido doesn’t really cut it cause it’s mainly indoors, and Siberia is a sniper map, so…).
Just look at The Division 1, snowy locations have a special feeling for it just by it being snowy. Its alot of work but if done right, looks really really good. And we have a few suits that are snowy, it would just be nice to use them on a map that isnt nearly 5 years old.
I know what you mean, the new zealand one could also have been england, or scottland, and I wouldnt have noticed, or even northern germany. But when they do a proper, city like location, its always a hit right into the spot.
Well, I think there’s still a small chance that at least one of them is going to be a target. Tren is the most likely one, because we saw him in Paris at the IAGO auction. He could be travelling to other places on behalf of his family.
Sun/ Jin Po, is less likely. I doubt he would personally travel to an apartment in China or a Night Club in Berlin to participate in shady deals in person. It’s more likely that that he would visit some sort of high-class event. Which could be the Argentinian mission.
Or maybe they will be Elusive Target(s) like The Censor.
Or the villains of the Bond game.
Personally, I hope we can kill at least one of the Pos. Every time they were mentioned it showed what kind of horrible people they are. There’s a reason why Tren Po was the most memorable guest of the IAGO auction guests. Only Martinez did receive as much attention as he did and that was because of people remembering the Delgado Cartel from Blood Money.
I certainly hope so. Like you say, Tren being abroad is plausible, while with Jin/Sun it’s less likely (but still possible). Either way, I hope we do get them one way or another, though hopefully not as ETs (that would be a waste imo).
A crossover?? Gimme!!
Which is also why it’s good it’s a fictional country with a number of inspirations. There are NK influences, but several other that would allow it to be distinct enough
I don’t think that would be a problem. If it doesn’t address Chinese politics, then there’s no reason for it.
I think Chongqing is a far cry from Pyongyang though
Yeaaah… Now if the Chongqing level doesn’t have the English street signs we saw in the announcement trailer, that’s gonna make me wonder…
I’m living in NZ these days, and as soon as I entered Hawke’s Bay in-game, it felt like NZ. The beach, the long grass, the mountains in the horizon, the big house (done in a very typical NZ style, you can find houses like it all across the Mount Maunganui/Tauranga area). Never been to Hawke’s Bay in particular, but they nailed the feel of an NZ beach.
Thanks for the feedback on that! Like I said, I haven’t been to NZ (my idea of what it looks like there is basically limited to LOTR and The Last Samurai
), and I feel like similar looking beaches could probably be found in other countries with a similar climate/topography without me being able to tell the difference, but knowing now that it’s accurate on so many levels will help me cast any such further thoughts aside (at least until I actually visit there). Still, that daytime bonus mission with a surfing contest and beach party would be nice
It’s blank. Could you post the description here?
There used to be a thread dedicated to Khandanyang on the old forum, right? Perhaps it would be worth it to revive it?
Your description on Reddit doesn´t show up for me either…
I do like your flag design however Though the lone star in the upper stripe is kinda off… Perhaps it would be better to (re)move it? And where does the flower design come from? It looks somewhat familiar…
EDIT: Created a thread for it. Please repost/move your post there as well I put it in the General category, since it spans three games, but if the mods or you guys feel like it should be somewhere else, please let me know.
hope one of the locations will be snowy. would love to use some of those snowy outfits we unlocked in hitman 2
dude
November + Romania + Mountain = Snow
So Romania is an epilogue, but it’s not set after six main missions, only five. Intriguing.
It’s time to revive this thread isn’t it
I really hope we get another snowy map where suits like the Winter Sports Suit, Polar Survival Suit, and Santa 47 actually fit in
