Not ironic, and an unnecessary putdown of the developers. Yes, Bangkok has problems, but neither of us have played this mod yet, and are going off a decidedly not-playable trailer. So let’s reserve judgement and praise until it’s actually released, eh?

Let me rephrase: it looks better than the hotel level the devs made. That being the Himmapan hotel. Nothing but respect for the developers here.

That’s not a rephrase, that’s straight-up changing what you were saying.

And I don’t even think Bangkok looks bad; it’s just based on a different type of hotel aesthetic, which it does pretty well. Traditions is doing something similar, but different, and from the trailer, it looks good too. Again, I can’t say much more until I play it and see more for myself.

Like, both levels can exist in harmony here.

I can’t imagine how hard is to create something like this, in your spare time. Thank you to all the modders who have contributed, you have my greatest respect. Looking forward to the release, even if this means I have to buy the game again on PC.

Hi,

Does anyone know if its possible to change time of day only on some ETs without affecting the main mission ?

I want the Banker ET to be set during night but i also want to keep Showstopper as it is.

I want to use it.

I tried the popular time of day mod on Nexus mods but when I set Miami to night time, it applied to every mission in Miami.

I want there to be more differences between ETs and the main missions

I solved my problems with Peacock and now I can play all modded missions. I’m playing "The Brothers”. But there are some broken mods I was forced to disable

Some modded missions are really nice. For example, Halloween at Whittleton Creek, Summer Special (the one at Heaven Island) or the mission in the train. Others missions could be better adding unique targets and not recycling other characters from others missions (for example “The Evil Plan”, in Hokkaido). However IOI could create a new campaign with those missions called “Mod of Assassinations”. It could be a nice tribute to those creative fans of the game.

Added Noel Crest. Continuity is saved! He replaces Militia Basic V10 (I.E, one of the patrol militia near the water tower who discusses Providences power structure).

No other map changes have been made.

Good change, but unfortunately, I’m seeing 4 Noel’s now!


Also, Militia soldier you replaced him with does not match his voice actor. Noel is voiced by Derek Hagen, who provided his voice to second guard that goes around the water tower.

This Noel speaks with voice of Benjamin Dilloway.

The cloning process has a few flaws, i’ll admit.

I can’t really fix that as easily. I can change this via globaldata I think (I can set it as a fallback), but then you’d have two voices for one character in the same level, and I think that’s worse.

I’ll have a look at the rest of the Noels now and eliminate the clones.

EDIT: Fixed, and pushed an update!: If there’s an unused militia outfit, then I could use that, but right now this works. Note that this will cause discrepancies in Contracts Mode due to the faces in the contract images not matching the affected guards.

I didn’t notice any other crest clones in my admittedly quick search around the compound.

This is all quite easy to fix, actually.

  • You can make a new variation by simply editing the charset: copy+paste an existing entity parented to Actor, HeroA, and Nude, then place them in the lists in the parent entities with those names. Assuming you put them at the end of the list, they should be max vanilla variation +1. Just set this NPC’s m_nOutfitVariation to that number and you’re done :]
  • Contracts name & portrait can be changed by just swapping out his RepositoryId for the real Crest’s. Should work with no problems, and no need to edit the REPO itself, either.
  • No idea why you’d need to edit globaldata to change an NPC’s voice… just set his m_eRequiredVoiceVariation to eAVV_SPECOPS01 (or use SMF’s porting system to bring Crest’s real voice set, crest_n, into chunk0, if you want to get fancy. You’ll earn a few bonus unique voice lines if you do :​p )

To be honest, I always just assumed Noel wasn’t there at that specific moment, or he was at one of the Militia’s other safehouses. I assumed he would have been a 5th target if he were there, being one of their top people. But, oh well :​p
