HITMAN 3: Seven Deadly Sins (NEW DLC)

Ok, after seeing this image, one of the exits has to be 47 jumping into that pile of money like Scrooge McDuck right ??

You can play it. Epic really isn’t that terrible of a store. It’s not good and needs far more features, obviously, but it’s better than Origin or Ubisoft Connect in my mind. Plus you get all the free games they hand out like they’re nothing. But if your reason is that you want to have all of your games in one place… that I can’t argue with.

The theme of this DLC looks cool but I’m really disappointed by the price and the fact that people who bought the Deluxe edition don’t have it for free or even have a discount. I feel like greed is a sin which characterizes more and more IOI…
Anyway I still hope there will be DLCs with old reworked maps like the bonus missions or the Patient Zero campaign, Hitman 3 sales were great so they can do it to really thank the fans.

Lust season better have 47’s banana hammock as the suit unlock. It can be red with the hitman logo on the butt and mesh on the hips.

Ngl wtf IOI really greedy for hitman 3

-try to make pc players buy twice (Might have been contractual stuff so benefit of the doubt)
-90€/$ Hitman 2 all maps (on steam for 80€/$)
-deluxe pack +20€/$ on early pre-order later changed to 30 in line with upgrade for a handful escalations and a few items (half the price of a fucking game) art book lackluster copy pasta and soundtrack (music is cool)

  • dlc not included with Deluxe (why??) 30 fucking €/$ (again HALF A FUCKING GAME) for 7 escalations with probably 2/3 items per escalation.

I miss the days when dlc where either cheap small addition bundles or huge fucking content drops worth the price of half a game.

Conclusion
14 escalations, one copy paste art book, uploading some mp3s, and making a few skins is equal to every content hitman 3 base game offer according to ioi management

Edit: im getting flagged by white knights for offensive lol

I get that the whole aesthetic of the Dubai mission is gold everywhere but do we need two paid escalations about gold that give us a gold suit as an unlock?

I think I’m in the minority that finds this new suit kind of ugly.

Everything else I want to say about this announcement has been said before; good and bad. But just found this odd.

yeah I don’t like it either, feels much too similar to the devil suit for me to want to buy it. but i will anyway

Okay, I’ll buy the full pack regardless, but I’ll be very disappointed if it ends up just being 7 escalations.
Not even talking about the money. If that was my concern, I’d simply not buy it. Problem solved.

Disappointment because of the wasted opportunity that could be used for more inspiring content.
I’m always replaying from Patient Zero to Holiday Hoarders and 5 years from now when Hitman 3 is done for good, I wanna have this level of inspiring mission to go back to.

With missions you get story plots, mission stories, new dialogues to listen to, a totally new twist on familiar locations, social situations to manipulate, scripts to trigger, challenges to unlock.
Escalations are very linear contracts.

On to some optimistic points:

-I never expected a DLC earlier than Oct or Nov. Much less a few days before a big Seasonal Event content drop. Could signal a lot of DLC content yet to come.

-There’s still the HMF info about the voice actress apparently doing voice work for Hitman. Potentially related to bigger stuff than just escalations.

-It’s not unlikely to have varying qualities of DLCs for the same price (some that are expected to greatly outsell the lesser DLCs) then also sell the whole bundle for completionists/collectors at a discount.
I myself have some DLC purchased in bundles then end up not even touching some.

Still, this will be a huge week for Hitman with more than I expected. I’ll keep my hopes up that this DLC will go beyond just escalations. The most common community criticism by now is ā€œI’d pay for a bonus mission but not overpriced escalationsā€. Hopefully this can be addressed.

I wish we would hold off on the ā€œIOI greedyā€ circlejerk until we actually know more about the DLC. No one is forcing anyone to buy the $30 pack. You can buy Act 1 for $5 if you want it, if not, then obviously don’t buy it.

I personally think $30 is definitely a high price for seven escalations, but we don’t actually know if that is what you’re getting. Who knows, we could get two great bonus missions, if not, then you can start calling IOI greedy or whatever you want. IOI probably should’ve held off a little on releasing the pack for full access, but it’s convenient for people who know they’re gonna be getting each of the DLCs anyway.

Lol, I’m so here for some IO-developed spins on existing levels with a more surreal bent. I loved the Azmodeus Waltz and this sounds even nuttier.

I love IO and I want them to stay in business, so I don’t mind paying $30 for more content. I recognize that some are more careful with their money than I am, but hell, I’m in.

agreed. i’ve always wanted a more conceptual / surrealist Hitman game (more surreal than Contracts), and i think they could do some interesting things with this whole Seven Sins concept

That does intrigue me… But I’m not getting my hopes up for some more Voice Acting only to be disappointed that it’s not there (even the Halloween escalation didn’t have any special VA).
For now, I’ll say that they’ve only recorded this stuff for trailers. It’s pretty cool though.

I think the proof will be in the pudding. And I think that the holding off on the ā€œIOI greedy circlejerkā€ is an apt comment.

IOI are a 20 yr old company, who has made mistakes over the years that cost them, such as Hitman Absolution, and the roll out of Hitman2016 as a complete failure.

And yes, there are numerous examples of lots of gamers paying on faith for crap DLC with reputable AAA companies. IOI are in it for the long haul with Hitman.

Because of their always online requirement, IOI know who plays their game at all times, and how people play Hitman.

They know exactly what their fanbase want in Hitman – and they will deliver as promised in their premium DLC content.

The premium content will be fun and exciting new stuff, with a story arc narratives that are free from the story arc of the WoA. It will be enticing enough to keep players coming back to the platform.

They will also keep going with a lot of free content and rolling out refreshed seasonal and temporary elusive targets, to entice gamers to their WoA platform.

IOI may also end up really pushing for more community run initiatives such as what Frote47 does.

I don’t see how they can add more levels or missions in? The story has concluded? Yes they could potentially add some special assignment type DLC in but the trilogy is over and that was always going to be the case.

No one expected this and I was more than happy with the monthly free content, escalations, featured contracts, challenge packs, seasonal events & ET’s, now we get all of that as well as this! Yes it has to be paid for but surely can’t be looked at as negative.

Its marketed as ā€œ47s mindā€ā€¦! Not only I hope they indeed made demon diana the intro of the escalation, but also stick to that idea! Really want to see what they do with that on the lust part…

It’s been 3 years and they discontinued challenge packs but I’m still waiting.
