HITMAN 3 - Technical Support

I have the same bug I had once before in Hitman 2, with the Location discovery challenge not unlocking.

Platform: PC EGS

Description: I discovered the last location on the Dubai map (the room with the safes near the skydiving entrance). The challenge to discover all locations completed, but I lost server connection. Now, the challenge is not completed anymore, it shows 32/33 locations found, but that last location is already marked as discovered on the map. Therefore I can’t complete the challenge anymore.

I already had this issue in Hitman 2 and I remember it being resolved somehow. I already did the progression carryover and my online username is “YouTube_Freak”.

10 days since launch now, no access, no acknowledgement!

Description : I have finally purchased Hitman 3 and am trying to install the Hitman 3 access pass: hitman 2 gold. But it is asking me to pay for this even though I already own the gold edition Hitman 2. I have been in contact with Xbox customer support who have confirmed I own this content and should be able to download the access pass for free but it won’t work. Hitman GOTY has worked fine for me and the hitman 2 expansion works. I have access to Hanbury port and siberia in the sniper assassination but not Himmelstein mission. I have cleared cache cycle through power uninstall reinstalled you name it nothing is working

Frequency : All the time.

I also have an issue with connecting to the game. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and everything, yet I still need to retry an ungodly amount of times to reconnect to their damn servers.

I’ve also noticed that Hitman 3 is registered on my account twice for some reason. Maybe that is causing my connection issues?

Not for me, I’m afraid. Still getting ‘failed to fetch configuration’. I’ve initialised my PS4, rebuilt database, erased save game data, uninstalled/reinstalled Hitman 3 several times, but get the same error. I have a hunch my carryover profile may have been corrupted but can’t get in contact with anybody

I’ve posted here, Reddit, and contacted IOI on Twitter but still getting no response.

Second copy of HITMAN 3 should grant you additional contents for Deluxe Edition.
Like soundtrack and artbook. If you have Deluxe, just go to next menu tab and grab the goodies

[Issue with PC carryover unlocks]
Before H3 was out I grinded a lot of featured contracts in H2 to get the unlocks associated with them. I never bothered with the challenge packs for the Arkian Tuxedo and Red-Tie Kiwi because I figured I would get the opportunity to unlock them after carrying over progress to H3. Now that the challenge packs are removed from H3 and I surpassed the unlock requirements for these two items but still haven’t unlocked them, I fear I might be locked out of these items forever. Any ideas on how I could still unlock them?

platform: Xbox One - Digitial

Description : Issue accessing Hitman 2016 content.

Steps to reproduce: Have followed instructions on carry forward progress. As well as procedure for going to xbox store and downloading the Hitman GOTY edition as well as tried steps through web browser. IOI account shows own all content required. All games purchased digitally on same platform.

Frequency : Always happens. Has Get Content icon. When click to access via store. Indicates I already own it.

Any help would be appreciated.

WON’T LAUNCH

Platform : PC

Description : When launching the game on Epic, it opens the Hitman launcher. Then, when clicking on Play, it closes the Hitman launcher, doesn’t launch the game and re-open the Epic Games Launcher instead.

Steps to reproduce: Open the Epic Games Launcher, click on the game, click on Play in the Hitman launcher.

Frequency : Happens all the time, I haven’t been able to play this game 1 second !

Platform: PC (Epic Games)

Description: Whenever I hold down the button for ‘Instinct’, the game freezes and then crashes. Currently I am playing on my laptop since my main computer broke, but that shouldn’t have too much of an effect on this problem since a friend of mine is having the same problem and he is playing on an actually good computer.

I have put all the graphics settings to the lowest possible, and that allows me to actually run the game; however whenever I hold the ‘instinct’ key down, the game crashes.

Steps to reproduce (for me):

  1. Launch the game
  2. Press the ‘Play’ button
  3. Hit [Enter] to play
  4. Start any mission (any mission from any of the 3 games or their DLCs
  5. After loading in, hold down the ‘Instinct’ key
    The game freezes and crashes while in Instinct

Frequency: This happens every single time I play the game. I start a mission, I hold ‘Instinct’, the game crashes.

Same issue for me except I’m on ps5.

a day or two ago you ask that I email you , I did and not heard back,cam we PLEASE get this taken care of, as is it is useless for me to play til it is done.

Platform: PC, digital from Epic Games Store

Description : Game won’t start/crashing on a black screen after I hit “play” in the launcher. I have DirectX 12, a GeForce 1060 (3 GB) with the latest drivers (as of Jan. 30, 2021), the latest Windows update etc. I’ve tried launching directly from the Hitman install file, as well as the Epic Games Store. Every time, it goes to a black screen, crashes and then restarts the Epic Games Store. I reached out to Epic about this, and they sent me here. Since I purchased the game earlier this week, I haven’t been able to play a single second of it.

Steps to reproduce: Try launching the game.

Frequency : Always. Every time I try to launch.

Solution:

Delete shaderCache.bin in C:\Users[UserName]\AppData\Local\IO Interactive\HITMAN3

I hadn’t been able to play for 15 days and Epic was no help at all.




Platform: PC

Description : I was able to play Hitman III on 1/22, and now when I try and play, it doesn’t launch.

I can get to the small Hitman window (that says Play / Options / Quit), but then it crashes when I click to start.

I do not get an error or any information on why.

Extra information that may help troubleshoot: when the small Hitman III window appears, the Epic Games interface exits, and then after Hitman III fails to launch the game, the Epics Games interface reopens.

I’ve tried to resolve many different ways. I have DirectX 12, I’ve updated every driver possible, running epic and Hitman III as an administrator, I know my minimum hardware requirements are met, and so on.

Frequency : Every time…

Unbelievably frustrated. After 46 emails back and forth with epic they couldn’t find an issue and gave up and sent me here. Haven’t been able to play in 8 DAYS

I’m having the same issue. I haven’t been able to play any of the game since I bought it. It’s incredibly frustrating. I haven’t heard anything from the developer on this; no social media posts, patch notes or anything. If this keeps up, I’m going to have to get a refund.

Description : Game crashes back to Epic Launcher after pressing Launch Hitman

Steps to reproduce: Load up Epic launcher. Press play on Hitman 3. Small Hitman 3 launcher loads. Press Launch Hitman 3. Starts to load but then screen goes black for a few seconds and then crashes back to the Epic Launcher. No error message.

Frequency :Every time I try and play

It is impossible for me to play. The game crashes and closes as soon as I start a game. My pilots are up to date and I can play other recent games. I reinstall the game and the problem persists.

Hi, I have Hitman 1 & 2 on steam I could only carryover Hitman 1 to Hitman 3 and No longer have the option to carryover Hitman 2 even though it is Registered under my IOI Account, any help would be greatly appreciated
