Hitman Sniper: The Shadows

In the Alpha version the locations were indeed Canada for the lodge and Egypt for the Yacht and Chile for the Observatory.

Welp, at least I guessed one correctly. Even though I said that it wouldn’t, the other two did in fact surprise me.

I may have looked a bit too much into this, but here it goes anyway:

Stone and Knight got recruited by the ICA between 2016-2020 after their Siberia mission, so that rules out BM-Absolution.
After both The Icon and The Landslide, 47 takes a 2-3 year long break, but Diana probably wouldn’t say 47 went “missing” after those missions.
He did go missing after Dartmoor, but only for 1 or 2 months, and even then, Diana wouldn’t just immediately go search for The Shadows to do a few sniper contracts when they are just about to destroy Providence and the ICA.
After that, the ICA fell apart, along with presumably 426.

I think it’s either a plot hole, Diana thought for some reason that he disappeared after The Icon, or 426 continued under the control of Diana Burnwood.

Also credits go out to iamtheguy55 for making the Timeline Infographic.

That’s awesome, and they added a new character as well :hushed:

Knight’s last name is Morgan? She’s like fourth character with that last name in the Hitman franchise lol

Elaboration: Frank Morgan, a candidate for the POTUS elections in Blood Money; Ken Morgan, the lawyer; Patrick Morgan, the Sarajevo Six target in Colorado

Seems like Stone is called Derrick Powell

Different “starting locations” for the maps is quite neat. It shapes up to be a quality game and not just a cash grab. I am interested in the first videos.

Yeah, there’s a lot more to it than the first game had, more vilains, more protagonists, a pretty good backstory and the maps seems really neat as well

I like that we actually got to learn more about Knight and Stone, including their actual names. They aren’t the most well-devolved characters but I would like for them to see up in future Hitman games. Which is more than I can say about most surviving characters from Absolution. :grinning:

Looks like Square can use the license but not 47. Would explain the line about him being missing. I mean 47 is the face of the franchise. There’s no way they wouldn’t put him into the game if they could. Unless they are already planning to add DLCs to the game.

Yeah, I’ve personally really liked the SA characters even though they were just here for this mode, I wish IO actually went on with their sandbox coop mode, I think it’s pretty nice to not be 47 for a change, same with Lucas Grey

Didn’t Diana go missing/leave the ICA midway through H2 as well, though? I never got the impression that she was happily co-ordinating some sniper team whilst 47 was running rogue! :joy:

This is somewhat an interesting read, and they show few concept arts for the character “Soji”

Why do the sniper assassins at the ICA look like characters from Fortnite?

Hair mostly :stuck_out_tongue: I guess it’s easier to do them like this for a mobile game

I mean, is anyone really surprised?

Once we got deep into December, it was clearly not going to be coming out until next year.

Interesting! I wonder what they have to finish before release, I’m guessing a lot of polishing and finishing touches, afaik from what I saw in the files they have all characters and pretty much all maps ready so the core must be what’s lacking :stuck_out_tongue:
