would you, for example, perform a drum solo or walk the podium or even just take somebody else’s clothes as an actual hitman? no, but it makes the game a bit more fun to have such possibilities. the more options there are the better and it would also allow them to make more diverse locations like in blood money where in some missions we could access both the entrance and stuff like 8th floor without them having to fill everything in between which would obviously take a lot of resources

All I’m saying is that I have seen a lot of posts indicating that elevators would be a great thing to have in the game and I don’t see that as being particularly interesting. Whether it’s the first floor and the 8th with an elevator between them or the first floor and the second with a stairway between them is immaterial to me. I’d rather that a developer focused on something like using a body shield or fixing game-breaking bugs than spend time on coding the mechanics of an elevator. In most other games I’ve played, the elevator is the least interesting thing in the game.

they are just objectively different. consider all the sniping options, for example. i agree that there is more important stuff that ioi should focus on but elevators would be a great addition as well if implemented creatively

If there is one wish, I would say that I hope IO to stop reusing assets in HITMAN III.

thats not possible. there are too many assets for not a single one to be reused :stuck_out_tongue:

So as will not get silverballers at least ioi should give us:

  • A polished game without BUGS
  • Big caliber revolvers :gun:
  • M60 cause of course we will never have a minigun again
  • R93 sniper
  • Desert eagle
  • More variety on shotguns
  • Double Silverballers DLC

We had enough stealth weapons and tools, it’s time to improve the gunplay.

not having revolvers is especially weirds since absolution had them and they reuse lots of assets from that game

Yes that’s zero efforts, and Silverballers too.

Aside from the more obvious and often mentioned things (e.g. bloom reduction/adjustability, NPCs noticing blood pools, a more streamlined inventory and tweaks to the rating system, etc.), some of the things I´d personally wish for are:

  • region-appropriate accents in the relevant H1 levels/places (probably not gonna happen, but a man can dream…) - and this of course goes for H3 missions as well
  • an upgrade/expansion for Bangkok/Club 27 (e.g. turning that jungle area on the north side of the hotel into something meaningful, making the beach accessible, etc. - again, highly unlikely to happen, but I´d really like to like that map)
  • more unique ways to kill the targets in Colorado/Freedom Fighters (also unlikely to happen)
  • different/unique music for Club 27 (same as Paris) and Freedom Fighters (same as Hokkaido) - I feel like the current ones don´t match them all that well as they do Paris and Hokkaido respectively, plus variety is better
  • a few tweaks to Marrakesh/A Gilded Cage, specifically: the ability to use phone booths to call Zaydan/Strandberg like in Mumbai, a drainage pipe or some sort of way to exit/enter Zaydan´s office using that fu*king dead end window, and a functioning metal detector at the consulate entrance (I think these things should be implementable, come on IO)
  • a proper briefing video for Nightcall
  • NPCs noticing/reacting to destroyed cameras and recordings (not necessary, but would be a nice touch)
  • a bonus mission for Hawke´s Bay might be nice
  • some options for cosmetic changes in the menu/interface - not necessarily now, but maybe down the line when the whole trilogy gets packaged and sold as one thing (e.g. the ability to choose between H1/2/3 music and interface)
  • if they somehow decide to re-introduce the original skyboxes to H1 levels (which I never got to experience, but would love to, especially for Sapienza and Paris), give the option to choose between the pre- and post-GOTY ones (if technically feasible)
  • get rid of the “young Diana” voice in the training missions; it only creates inconsistency and is annoying
  • flash grenades should only be used by the kind of guards where it makes sense (I doubt hotel and bank security carry them…)
  • remove that absolutely inappropriate enforcer in the outside bar area in Paris
  • add the new items into older missions where appropriate (e.g. measuring tape to fashion show, frying pan to hotel kitchen, stethoscope to Gamma hospital, etc.)

Oh, and a Khandanyang mission, obviously :grin:

I don’t like the syringe animation. It is ridiculous and easy. You almost don’t get caught. I would like to see the animation of Blood Money, which looks better and feels more immense.

@Rimland Hit every nail on the head for me. I agree with everything.

A few others, including some I’ve posted on the old forum:

  • When I played Hokkaido for the first time like 4 years ago, I thought it would be a really cool touch if you could hide bodies on the gurnies. It would add another level of depth to “hiding in plain sight”.

  • Letting some of the top CICADA/Elite bodyguards carry snipers. I totally get why mall cops can’t (and shouldn’t) carry around sniper rifles, but it seems a bit silly that it’s suspicious if a world-class elite soldier is carrying a sniper.

  • Improvements to contracts mode with additional objectives, like pacifications, “do not harm” targets, and quality-of-life improvements, like marking targets through scopes in Contracts mode.

  • Individual camera systems as a whole, or at least on higher difficulties. Shooting a random camera box in some private building shouldn’t defeat the entire security grid of the city of Mumbai.

  • Ability to set separate keybinds for KO/Punch and neck snap. Infuriating when trying to legshot + punch 2 NPCs next to each other and you end up snapping a neck instead of punching

  • Ability to set separate keybinds for hiding in crates/closets and opening/closing doors. Agan, very infuriating when you accidentally open a door to an NPC instead of hiding a body, or getting stuck in a closet when you need to escape through a door quickly.

  • General bloom/lighting settings, obviously. (I know they won’t ever change it globally, so let players do it.)

  • VIsual accessibility settings for HUD and UI elements, including larger, proper case text (which is easier to read than tiny upper case text), and disabling vignetting / color bleed, which makes important information such as the mini-map completely and arbitrarily difficult to read.

  • Bring back looting while dragging from 2016, it seems weird that 47 can’t drag a body and pick up an item at the same time. However, I can see a compromise where 47 can pick up small/medium items while dragging bodies, but not large ones.

  • Toggleable lock-on throw, that way items can be thrown as distractions next to NPCs without hitting them inadvertently

  1. Better melee throwing aiming. The camera should focus on the destination, not the direction the arc starts. Or the camera’s range should adjust to the whole arc?
  2. Proper stair choking. :rage:
  3. If something in the middle of the room (e.g. chandelier) falls by pulling a lever, there should be a way to “prep” the winch so you can watch the target walk underneath it. Right now you have to face the wall for the prompt to come up.
  4. Every challenge should be possible without the use of “HITMAN vision” or sniper slowdown.
  5. Since HITMAN 3 is the end, I’m really hoping they’ve ironed out the game’s ruleset in development and aren’t tweaking the mechanics until it’s too late.

They should have maybe one NPC on relevant maps who has a sniper, like one or two soldiers on a Marrakesh rooftop, one CICADA on the Paris roof, etc. That could give rise to a couple interesting contracts where you have to obtain a sniper rifle (Especially if IO finally bloody allows No Loadout in Contracts Mode)

In my honest opinion, there are a lot of things that can be implied in H3 to make it more fluid, better such as :

  • stutter step ( equipping items and stopping for no reason makes the game so not fluid to play )
  • garotte spot wider ( sometimes when you want to garotte/inject poison someone/into someone, you end up punching them )
  • target runs faster than 47 ( ex. when you knock out all the guards and the target runs away, they’re somehow faster than genetically enhanced clone? )
  • prop flask in right arm? ( for some reason, propane flask is carried in the right arm instead of left one, which makes 47 unable to shoot, so you have first drop the prop flask then shoot, unlike briefcase, which he throws/holds with his left hand. )
  • kalmer/sieker darts do not connect ( darts which should 100% hit the target, don’t, for some reason? )
  • guards cycles change / guards spawn in positions they shouldnt after save files
  • old footsteps / ICA sound ( this would make H3 so much better, just adding those 2 things back from H2016 )
  • texture/lightning comparison ( Hitman 2 vs Hitman | Direct Comparison - YouTube )
  • first view mode? disable silencers? ( first person mode for fun, silencers for some panic shots )
  • make starting location / agency pickup included as default
  • unconscious witness shouldn’t be lost SA as long as the NPC isn’t woken up ( worked in h2016 ) / make it work on pro, not on master
  • more suit choices / customizable ( Vintage White Tuxedo at Hitman 2 Nexus - Mods and community )
  • bring back ghost mode :slight_smile:
  • loadout presets ( I think that it would be amazing to have loadout presets you can do before each mission for every playstyle ( ex. if you wanna do default loadout, make it, then save it as Default Loadout. If you wanna play explosions only, take rubber duck, breaching charge, demo block etc. into loadout, save it, name it Explosions Only ( make the pickups/starting locations included )))
  • voice cast ( british everywhere )

Oh, thank you! Glad I´m not the only one with such crazy ideas/demands :grin:

Another thing that crossed my mind is to bring back the ability to subdue/kill (i.e. strangle, slit throat) sitting NPCs. I know the former is possible in some maps/places, but I´d kinda like it both to be available in every map.
