for a new hitman game after this trilogy i’d like them to rely more on systems instead of context dependant mechanics. for example, the current game has no fall damage - npcs die from you pushing the button and not from hitting the ground. another one is how throwing works where you either get a lock on or a light throw that deals no damage at all - npcs also get knocked out/killed through walls and in general there are sometimes problems to kill someone when you’re over them. you also don’t really have a left hand (only for briefcase but not for propane tanks or some other miscellaneous items like remotes). garrote mechanics suffer from this as well since you no longer have to prepare it but this is a minor issue, imo
Contract mode could use a saving feature.
Perhaps the creator could decide how many saves are aloud? Or maybe a checkpoint system, especially for contracts with multiple targets where it would save after each kill?
Maybe it is an dumb idea, but what about a new rating for doing a mission as silent assassin AND suit only… called Agent 47 or Silent Assassin Suit Only, which should be the highest ranking🤔
why is there still a key assigned to each action in the game in “Press X to…” style? why in the old games Agent 47 did everything automatically! For example, automatically approached the stairs and climbed! give us the option to disable ALL HUD and all “pressX to” buttons!
it wouldn’t be convenient because we have many more things to climb over stealthily all around the map. and the general design is very much different. imagine playing some map and sneaking behind a box with a desire to take cover only to see 47 jump on it and attract all the attention you never needed
I am frankly glad that ghost mode is gone. If they want to bring it back, I wish they’d remove any sort of achievement or unlockable from it. I really hate multiplayer games. The last thing I want in my games is some sort of “friends list” or forced multiplayer mode. I have no interest in interacting with other people while I’m playing a game. Ghost mode was just a forced interaction if I wanted any of the challenges or the suit (which I never bothered to get - it was one of the only items in the game I never got). Good riddance ghost mode!
but 47 never jump to box!
not true for the old games. and in the new ones you’d just limit your sneaking routes because you can climb over in many places
a minor thing but i hate the fact that in Rico’s mansion the music where all the people are chilling is the fashion show track. it just doesn’t fit at all
All I want is :
-Blood trails
-Dual silverballer
-AI reacting to blood
-Plate carrying
-Elevators working
-Human shield
Blood Money elements
I’m guessing you might get one of those, maybe.
- Leave it as is (left)
- Remove color effects (middle)
- Remove effects and classic colors (right)

I’m okay with current minimap, it just sometimes makes me worry when I see pop up yellow message above it. Usually it says Compromised, Hunted etc. And it distracts me and makes to focus on the message when it pops “Surveillance system has been disabled”, just because it can say “Compromised”. Knowing the game, I can be compromised by somebody on the other end of the map.
I would want this message about CCTV differ from other messages.
And as far as SA Tracker is a part of minimap (at least it’s displayed near it) I would want it to have at least one additional color - yellow, which would indicate that SA can be returned
The only reason I suggested removing the color effects/vignetting is because it makes the minimap harder for me (and evidently, quite a lot of others) to see, especially when looking at a glance, because objects/NPCs can be obscured partially through the effects, and can surprise me off guard.
Of course, like everything else, if people like the effects, you should be able to keep them if you want but disable them if you don’t. IO could learn a lot by giving people more settings in the menu.
I think that’s a decent idea. Also would be nice if there could be a wider variety of messages that can displayed, maybe with icons, that could give the player a better idea of how certain actions affect them.
I posted this on the old forum, but I swear I had access to the SA tracker in H2 before it was officially released, and removed soon after, and I remember seeing orange guns when spotted on camera.
Although I’ve looked everywhere in the game’s files and it doesn’t seem that was ever possible, I am absolutely sure I saw it at some point.
Again, that would be very helpful for determining rating while playing. As much as I like the UI of new Hitman, I do wish there was more variety in what the player sees to give more detailed information to skilled players.
I actually voted the one on the right mostly for design purposes rather than practicable use. The one colour, red, works well with its monochrome scheme unlike the other two. I think the yellow in the other two clashes with the others.
Hard agree. I guess IO was thinking that yellow seems more “alerted” than white, but it looks extremely out of place with the design language of the rest of the UI.
Honestly this goes for the vignetting/color effects too. Not only do they make the map more difficult to look at, they also look super out of place with the geometric/minimalist design. You have all of these clean, sleek lines everywhere that are interrupted by these horrible color smears.
Getting rid of the pink was a great first step, IO. Now get rid of the yellow and the smearing!
Also made a nice comparison to show how much sleeker a few small changes would look.
Made the objective HUD a slight bit bigger, this makes it easier to read and also looks a bit classier as well, especially with the icons being changed with transparent ones, like the ones found in the Alpha that I really loved the look of:
Now this is getting into nitpick territory, but I’m all about that.
