That’s a hell of a lighter - being bigger than brick or crowbar!
Jokes aside, thanks for commenting on my idea. Tbh I think the lighter won’t need a “nerf” as matchsticks are already more powerful than the lighter: you can ignite three different puddles from a distance because you’ve got three throwable matches; whereas the lighter can be used an infinite number of times, but if you throw it, you lose it.
I don´t wanna start a separate thread for this, so I´m just gonna put it here (at least in the meantime), but I´m really missing the “nickname” challenge names for targets in H3, as well as being surprised that they´re not there. Aside from Berlin, all the target challenges are simply “Eliminate XY” instead of, say, “The Patron” and “The Kingmaker” for Stuyvesant and Ingram respectively.
@Mattias_IOI@Lasse_ioi I´m curious, was that intentional or is it an oversight? And would it be possible to patch it at some point in the future?
One more thing (also mentioned in the firearms thread by @Rowers ). The Fusil X2000 Stealth located in Chongqing lacks a silencer, despite obviously (and according to description) supposing to have one. The wish is self-explanatory
After playing H3 for a little bit, I am quite happy with what it offers!
There are already nice changes, like I’m glad to see that a few more guards carry snipers now, and when completing a Season 1 mission, the slick debriefing music plays while on the briefing screen again!
However, there are a few things that I’d still like to see hopefully in some future patch:
After playing Berlin and Chongqing, where objectives can morph and become flexible (Berlin) or optional (Chongqing), I would really like to see that implemented into older levels, specifically Whittleton Creek. I know this has been requested before, but I think it would be a really nice progressive change to not have to scavenger hunt every single playthrough, and now that IO has embraced that in its newer level design I’d like to see it implemented elsewhere.
Would also like some facelifts to sniper missions like The Vector and Sniper Assassin, such as letting you choose your suit (since you’re not changing it in the mission anyway) and maybe adding some unlockables, like the Druzhina ICA via Hantu Port, or some other means. Hopefully this can coincide with an improvement for Sniping mouse sensitivity, since it’s pretty messed up at the moment :c Also would be nice to see some more XP boosts (maybe in the form of challenges) in Sniper Assassin since it can become quite a grind.
This thread exists for us to make wishes and what we would like to see, it doesn’t exist to demand or try to bully IO into giving into fans. The fact is that fans rarely know what they want, many of them have little understanding in what makes a great game or how they are made. You might want something, but it doesn’t mean that 99% of other players agrees with this statement.
If games just consisted of things fans wanted, it wouldn’t be a very fun game to play. Nor would it be enjoyable to develop games, it’s a creative process and let’s leave it to them to pick and choose what will work for the game, then there is the fact that game development is a huge cost. Every time they spend time doing wish fulfilment, it takes resources away from something else.
Well that is factually incorrect. Just an example.
This feature have been requested for years and I raised the point again before release. You know what it’s in the game.
If we look back to H2, they implemented the briefcase so players could travel unseen with their Snipers. Also something that was a fan request and something IO communicated they where working on since H16.
I would like to see 47 gain the ability to use his voice to distract or lure guards. I have been standing in a doorway many times and want a guard to get closer but don’t have a coin or anything suitable to throw. Seems like he should be able to just say “psst” and get the guard’s attention.
With this being the final entry for Hitman (at least for several years) and no plans to have any story/campaign expansions, it seems like a great opportunity for IO to at least review a few fan requests.
I personally don’t expect anything but it would be really nice to see it happen. A man can dream, at least.
This is simply not true! They take feedback serious and made a lot of wishes true.
Just a few fan requested wishes they’ve implemented:
-Briefcase in general
-A slow flying Briefcase
-Silent Assassin Tracker
-Rating stays SA if you kill your target that whitnessed a crime/kill (This made Multikills much better and possible to SA)
-Jaeger 7 Tuantara Sniper Rfile (from Ghost Mode)
-Druzhina34 ICA Artic Sniper Rifle (from Sniper Assassin Siberia)
-Accidental KO’s that don’t count against SA (banana, puddle, fall, explosion, Fire Extinguisher and more)
-Sedated NPC don’t count against SA
-Making the tornado shelter exit in Colorado optional
-El Matador Pistol from Santa Fortuna
-Flash Devices
-…
If you got good ideas or wishes you can post them here and IO will maybe see it and maybe bring it into the game. But there is no guaranty nor is it their duty to do so.
Agree somewhat but they would have to limit the wallbang ability if possible. Shooting through basically all the walls in the map is pretty overpowered imo.
I would have a few wishes for A Gilded Cage as it is in H3 (or Hitman: WOA if that happens).
Firstly (already mentioned elsewhere on the forum), give the prisoner disguise the mask/bag back. It´s silly Zaydan wouldn´t tell the difference, not to mention the prisoner still has his lines such as “Hello? Is anyone there?” when you´re alone with him in the room.
Secondly, please fix the muted sound for the two military helicopters doing flyovers over the city. They sounded perfectly fine in H1 but got messed up in H2. If it´s a bug, it should be fixed, if it was intentional, why on Earth??
Since the Druzhina34 ICA Arctic has the mechanical ability to change ammo types in the main game i hope this could be implemented/changed for balance:
Actual state:
Summary
-The Druzhina34 ICA Artic has the ability to change ammo types.
-Default the Shockwave and Wallbang Ammo are 5 rounds. The rifle is silenced, has long slow-mo, 3x zoom and can penetrate bodies. This combination is a bit over the top even i’m a big fan of wallbang strategies.
Ideas for balance in future:
Summary
-The Wallbang and Shockwave Ammo magazine for Druzhina34 Arctic is default empty (Zero Rounds)
You can unlock two new items:
Wall-Piercing Ammo 3 Rounds
Shockwave Ammo 3 Rounds
->Blocks one Loadout-Slot
->Cannot be smuggled (no available as smuggle item)
->Combination of Shockwave and Wallbang Ammo is only possible when:
–>You start with both ammo types (both loadout slots are used) + you smuggle a sniper rifle into an Agency Pickup.
Think that’s a nice way to try and balance it but I do wonder if it solves the inherent problem of the wall-piercing ammo (the most OP of the two). I might also suggest
Wall-piercing ammo is non-silenced
At the minute there’s really no incentive to using a loud sniper rifle over a silenced, it doesn’t do anything silenced can’t. However, this would allow there to at least be a benefit to using loud over silenced. Also it increases the risk of the body being found so there’s another tangible ‘negative’ to using the ammo
I think the same here but i didn’t mention it because this maybe too much work for IO. If it’s left to the Druzhina (which is already in game with the ability) there are not as much changes needed. Default zero ammo + two new items.
The change to a loud rifle would mean that every sniper rifle has to be changed/tweaked to have or not have the ability.
Getting the Druzhina is a huge grind and for most players not worth to unlock.
So yes in the perfect way a wallbang rifle is loud, but practically it might be easier to just make a few “adjustments” instead of a complete new concept that takes lot of manpower
Since I haven´t transferred my progress, enlighten me please: The wall-piercing ammo works the same way as in SA, i.e. it pierces through everything in its way, right? Rather than making it loud, it would be good if they could limit its capability to being able to pierce only one wall/layer, if possible.
I hope they keep the ability to switch the ammo, making the rifle worth the grind, but I like the idea of balancing it out by making the special ammo as separate unlocks and in a smaller amount. Would be good if implementable.
On a side note, the Arctic Druzhina´s silencer was bugged in H2. Have they fixed it?
