I totally agree and i can’t explain that myself. Explaining that they’re legally bound not to disclose some news of what’s coming next for legal AND creative reasons is to me, as a player, the most senseful reason. It would shush a lot of people with their incessant repetitive questions. Or maybe they assume we know it’s something that has to do with legal reasons but even that they can’t really say it on live streams because it would make the company or any kind of deal made look bad (sigh). Or simply, it’s not cool to say it out loud.
That’s another excellent reason. So many times players got their expectations so high because of the increasing hype of the game only to lead to disappointment because the developers didn’t deliver. WOA got a pretty shaky development until the third installment. Two huge companies, independance recovered and we can all agree that they delivered something consistant nonetheless.
Exactly. Any bit of information, coming from a teasing trailer, a picture in-game, even a phrase during an interview gets scrutinized by fans, so anything that deviates from a previous statement when we all know game developing is not an exact science, and players call out lies all over the place. While i don’t call them liars at all, i think sometimes it’s a way to calm things down, to dismantle any feverish consumption of informations that ultimately would lead to more disappointment. I’ll take the case of Bioshock Infinite who went through so much changes, gameplay- and storywise, we all remember those trailers where they showed stages that never made it in the end even if the game ended up being insanely good because Ken Levine kept a steady direction. I’ll oppose Bioshock to GTA V who clearly did the opposite by showing a trailer with so much things that never happened in the game but made it look like it was possible. It was clearly a lie.

I don’t think it was deleted. Unless there was more that I did not notice, it was a single comment along the lines of “Don’t forget about walkthrough channels” when they talked about fan-content like Hitmaps and the speedrun community.

Probably for just a week and a half.
If we’re lucky it’ll last for the full month-long season like the Berlin Egg Hunt, since that was generously extended for a full 4 weeks when that was out.

In my opinion Holiday Hoarders is slightly less good in quality compared to Berlin Egg Hunt, and Snow festival is just a reskinned et with fancy decorations. It’s not as good as main missions/bonus missions but they might be worth a playthrough (and also they have nice challenge rewards).
