The Lionesses have done it again 
Brilliant game from both sides. Really happy for the Lionesses, was rooting for them. Was even in the stadium for the group stage agains Wales (was in my hometown).
It’s distracting, but surely if you’re a pro then your game shouldn’t be so fragile that it’s effected by that? You should be so focused by that point that loud sounds couldn’t damage the game of someone already used to playing in front of thousands of pairs of eyes
Yeah but tennis is very different to other stadium sports where there is a cacophony of noise throughout.
The generally recognised etiquette at a tennis match is for the crowd to be quiet between and during game points, players need to hear the sound of the ball to help judge pace and spin.
Just politely remove yourself from the stands until you’ve managed to calm them down. It’s disrespectful to the players and to the rest of the crowd. People have paid a lot of money to watch a professional tennis match not listen to your baby cry.
These are the same parents who will just sit there and let their kid constantly kick the back of your headrest on a 6hr flight.
You could be right, and paying for seats at a tennis match aren’t like paying for ones at your local baseball game. For some, it’s a major social event that season and they might not see another for a year, especially if it’s the majors
But same. Just leave your baby at home with a nanny, with parents, with yourself while not going anywhere. It must be some respect and common sense
It’s just an old sport. If the crowd wasn’t typically quiet then it would not bother the players when they weren’t. I’m not here to judge players who want it quiet. Some tradition in old sports is a good thing.
I just thought overall it was a funny story and I loved that when the umpire sarcastically asked if the player wanted the baby ejected the other fans were all like “yes!”

Fuck! Cubbies lost and are out of theplayoffs. What’s worse is I had to be on a plane with no television sets while the game was going. I had to watch us lose via the ESPN app gamecast. Basically heart attack city is what those are. They freeze and you’re just dying to know what happens next. It probably took two years off my life.
What how did they lose! They’re my favorite team when they’re winning!
So uhhh…how bout them Red Sox 
Can’t strand that many on base against a good team. Oh well, always next year.

Well at least that Taurus Tyrant has been toppled. Can’t say I am thrilled about Norris winning though.
Oh and the obligatory next year will be Ferrari’s year™.

(Actually the rumour mill is Mercedes will be best at these new more electric and less gas hybrid engines. I think 3x the amount of electric power compared to this year, but we can hope and pray it’s the guys in red)
Maybe for once the Ferrari will be gentle on its tyres too (=
