It’s like NFL red zone for curling. The semi finals were both amazing, UK beat the 9 and 0 Swiss and Canada beat Norway. UK v Canada for the gold. My money is still on the (Scottish) UK team. They are just so damn good when they need to be.
That’s a fantastic play! Scottie Pippen did that once but not to force OT. The Bulls were up by a good margin and he got fouled taking a 3 pointer. The shot went in, so he missed the and one free throw on purpose, got the rebound, sunk a shot and had a 5 pt play.
Lewis Hamilton Wins for Ferrari!
So fun to see Ferrari win and to hear the Italian national anthem on the podium again.
Mais look at this goal of Mbappé ! (with French commentaries)

Good luck to everyone, what a month it is going to be ![]()
Anyone see the game or the highlights from USA v Bosnia ?
We were up 1-0 with about 30 min left when we took a red card and went down a man. Went 30+ min to not only hold but extended our lead to 2-0. Incredible game.
Bummed that Bosnia and Herzegovina are out of the cup, but they had a good run!
FIFA did all they could to help them. That redcard was a bit ticky tacky. The lad jumped for the ball. Came down on an ankle, but not intentionally; I’d say that’s a yellow card most often (-;
Cape Verde v Argentina going to over time in the knockout rounds
. This is so wild! So fun!
Cocksuckers won, goddamnit…
Fantastic game though! Cape Verde
lost that game but became legendary. I can’t believe they tied it up twice!
I had pretty high expectations for them before the tournament. One of my closest friends in Tokyo happens to be Cape Verdean, and a passionate football player at that, so he briefed me up (and hyped me up) on the team before the tournament started. Was rooting for them from the beginning and actually expected them to make it out of the group, so I wasn’t surprised when they did (should’ve placed a bet or two…). And I fully expected them to give the Argies a tough time. Too bad they couldn’t pull the match into penalties. Now there’s no one to stop them until the semis (unless Salah has a game of a lifetime, which sadly he won’t).
But yeah, legendary indeed.
Also, that second equaliser?? Holy cow, what a goal…
Yea Mano that goal was insane!
I knew they were solid but they were still a super low seed. I didn’t expect them to keep it so close, but when it looked like it would go to penalty kicks I started to believe.
France held their tempers well today against Paraguay. After the match Mbappe said they knew how Paraguay plays and they were ready for it. They take 3 yellow cards with them into the next round but after the next round the cards wipe.
What Paraguay put on was one of the worst displays of “football” I can remember. And the referee’s performance was an absolute farce. Hopefully that was the last time we had to sit through something like that in this tournament.
I agree the officiating crew could have grabbed control of the match sooner. Also, France and all the fans knew that was coming from Paraguay so I find it hard to believe the Reffs had no idea. I don’t blame Paraguay from playing that way though. It’s a physical game and they were never going to beat France without shaking it up a bit.
That’s the thing, they didn’t grab control of the game at all. Any self-respecting ref would’ve imposed order on the pitch the moment the Paraguayans started with those shenanigans, but this knucklehead didn’t do a damn thing. The fact that they made it out of the match with zero bookings (while the French got three) speaks volumes.
Eeeh, I disagree. You can play physical and still in a way that respects your opponent, the sport, and the rules. I saw none of that on Paraguay’s part. If you can’t play the game to the according level, you shouldn’t be in that stage of the tournament in the first place.
They were there though. Made it out of the groups and won a knockout.
Agree to disagree on the other stuff. I grew up playing on teams like that. Especially my middle school basketball teams.
One can only wonder what the situation would’ve been had we played with only 32 teams from the beginning…
Ah, your very own little Detroit Pistons-likes? ![]()
