MENDOZA, Argentina (Mission #5) - Location Discussion

If you don’t wanna go through that trouble, just get yourself The Big One and throw it into the meat pit. It will light the thing right away!

Ok, serious question: how do you make Yates kill Vidal? I have seen many comments about it and no idea on what to do. Any help y beary appreciated, pretty please.

Just start the Heralds´ meeting (either by completing the wine tour or straight up starting the sommelier/wine opportunity) with her still being alive. The rest will take care of itself.

Where exactly is Helmut? I found his seat, but not him yet…

I’ve found the answers to a few questions that have been asked:
SPOILERS FOLLOW!

Summary

spoiler]For those who don’t like touring,
once the asado fire has been lit (and the waiters have carried plates of food to hungry guests :p), the Herald meeting is triggered. The meal provides a fairly easy way to get a Herald disguise: a male Herald sits at top table, giving Waiter-47 a fine opportunity…

It IS possible to get the sommelier to deliver the wine himself: I did so once by accident. It may be something to do with poisoning the ventilation system. You can also take it up there as a guard and that annoying henchman of Yates’s will serve it for you. If you don’t have the wine at all, it is possible for the meeting to progress, eventually, anyway.
I’m always stunned, how generously large this area is, compared to it’s low importance. Overall, the architecture of the main building is insane.

I really love the Closing Statement mission story just like other people here, and I’m looking for a route that doesn’t require the tour or picking grapes (not cool enough. Ha!). So the meeting is also triggered by doing the asado fire, huh? Do people know of more ways?

Just played out the tour story for the first time, really impressed by it and I get the sense there’s more to explore there. This is quickly rising up the ranks of my favorite levels.

Just place the wine on the table.

I just did the tour as Corvo Black and it’s definitely better that way, last time I did it as the chief winemaker. It’s very hard to pull off the kills like that when Corvo is always looking at you or trying to get killed himself. Gotta love Diana’s distractions, especially when she turns on the radio. Hilarious.

She actually does that?? I didn´t even give her a chance the one time I did it as Corvo! Gotta change that

I don’t know if this has been discussed already but I can’t play contracts on this location I don’t know why but every time I do it tells me there’s an error and then will take me to the menu

That’s a common problem with no particular answer yet.

Being totally honest from all the drumming, massaging, DJing, being knowledgable in wines is one of the few skills that I could have seen in 47.

I just wanna confirm that Grapes of Wrath challenge pops up when grapes are used as bananna on single npc.

Just played this for the first time and it seems like a great level, but man some of those distant grape trees look really flat and bad at times. This is on PC at max settings.

Where is Helmut Kruger on this map?

I’ve got a question: what is the point of ventilating the barrel room? All that happened for me was that a guard came running from somewhere towards that sectioned-off area where the sommelier is. Nobody got poisoned, despite my pouring a sedative into the ventilation shaft first. [\spoiler]

Also, if you try to do the wine tour after Yates has died, it is impossible to place the grapes on the table; unless I’m missing something, you HAVE to knock out one particular vineyard worker and hand the wine-master the grapes as a vineyard worker.

Have you rerouted the ventilation? Because if you haven’t all you do is gas the ducts under the barrel room.

I’ve only used the terminal in the security office. Am I supposed to reroute using that and then turn on the machine into which I poured the poison as well?

Yes, the ventilation unit isn’t on automatically. You have to poison the vent, reroute the ventilation and turn it on. That doesn’t have to be the order of course.
