MENDOZA, Argentina (Mission #5) - Location Discussion

You can get him to come down to the dancefloor to give a speech but I only made it happen accidentally once.

Yeah I’m familiar with that, it’s pretty neat but if I’m starting near the shrine for example I’m not going to be able to use that. It’s super weird that Tamara is the difficult one and Yates is like baby mode. He’s the last real target a player will take out.

I managed to trigger the meeting SO but nothing seems to happen. They sorta sit there and the whole Yates killing Vidal thing and him drinking out of the glass doesn’t happen.

How long did you wait? I did the meeting once after killing Vidal and there was this super long pause where nothing happened, I presume when they usually do their thing, and then finally it picked up again.

I did not kill Vidal actually. I went up, stole the bottle, poisoned Yates’ glass, and placed the bottle on the table all in my suit. I was hoping that I would get the Vidal proxy kill followed by Yates drinking the poisoned wine. But I waited and waited and nothing happened.

It worked for me. Maybe you have to be at the meeting(at least hide somewhere)? It might be triggered by proximity.

no you cant scan anybody other than Vidal. however, the sniper bullet can still hit someone other than Vidal

I was trying it with the second target.
But in vain, sadly.
So I just made him follow me, ordered a snipers to take out Vidal by the ledge while he sees it, he reacted like ā€œoh, what happenedā€, moved himself closer to the ledge and I pushed him off. Haha

There is an exploit you can use to kill other targets with the sniper rifle. But it’s not intentional and I’m not sure if it still works after the patch, haven’t tested

Wait behind where Yates does his speech. It’s weirdly specific, but if you hid behind the barrels behind where he stands, that triggers Part 2 of the meeting.

Can anyone tell me what the point of the barrel room ventilation is?

Actually I just used sedative poison on it. I triggered the tour by talking to Black and handing Vargas the grapes. When Yates meets with Vidal/Diana, I turned it on. Some strange stuff happened. First of all, everyone passed out and it hurt my no bodies found rating, even though it’s a poison KO. Also, nobody else walked in, so I guess they saw each other get knocked out. Diana didn’t pass out for some reason. She just sort of stood there. Walking into the room will harm you, no matter where you are, and you can’t turn it back off. I shot Yates and Vidal through the security room window and ended up getting a 4 star rating. This could be a very interesting sniper assassin method. It could even be silent assassin if they fixed the whole bodies found thing. Unfortunately, it’s not possible SO.

My fear of hurting Diana actually stopped me from doing this challenge so this is very good to know.

Turns out this method is possible SO, since you can place the grapes and listen to the phone call. I’ll have to try it out later

Could someone explain to me what happened between the ā€œOld Habitsā€ cutscene and the star tof this level.

Tamara and Diana were expecting 47? How? And why the warm welcome from Tamara, with her guards gently showing 47 the way?

I didn’t finish this level yet, so maybe it will be explained after, but that was very confusing.

just keep playing. piecing together the story of this mission is one of the best parts of it

What makes you think Vidal was in on it? The guard thing could be explained by Diana seeing 47 coming and mentioning that she recognizes an old colleague.
