MENDOZA, Argentina (Mission #5) - Location Discussion

Cortázar spawns next to Corvo Black before the tour, talking with him.

Another guard performs Cortazar’s duties. Even if you are dressed as Cortazar, you will not be able to decant the wine. I THINK another guard will hit Diana instead, too.

If you place grapes strategically in the cinema, you can effortlessly KO most of Vidal’s posse before she leads Mr Rieper there. It’s fairly obvious, but I was surprised that it worked.

Cool. Cool cool cool. So there is a plot justification for murdering everybody there :smiling_imp:

Bit of a KO fest, but finally got a Mendoza run I was happy with. So that’s all my H3 Ninja runs done now

Because they like to show us cool stuff we could have but will never get. All the sniper assassin suits, all the sniper assassin guns, unique level items over MK2 stuff, and so on.

Walther WA2000 with Lightweight Stock from Blood Money. :open_mouth: (Ignore the fact that it had a bolt action upgrade please.)

Shameless self promotion of my “speculation” (Because it was actually a wishlist) from the old forum. https://archive.hitmanforum.com/t/hitman-3-rumors/44271/494
Still wish that happened even though I really love the new classic unlocks.

Funny bug i found on this mission, i picked the sniper from the snipers nest while the guard was there and when i shot someone, it would be classed as an accident, so i tried it with the targets and still got SA :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Yeah, I found that a while back and made a ‘speedrun’ using it

Did you just pick up the sniper rifle and fire? If so it’s even more broken then when I did it

The whole “Why would Edwards accept Vidal’s death” question is less of a problem if you just accept her death at the Herald meeting as the canon option

Yeah, that was a confusing one… Probably not Providence, but an intelligence/government agency(?) the lady who mentions it works for. One of those “needed monsters” to utilize Graves’s words. I don’t think everyone at the party is aware of or a member of Providence…

On the topic of wines, Mendoza was the first time I ever heard of Malbec, so naturally the first thing I did was run to the local liquor store(s) to see if they have some. Thank you IO, your culture lessons are much appreciated :wine_glass::woozy_face:

Something I realised is that ken and don can be killed by someone else in their missions, Coincidence?

Had a pop at recreating one of the wine labels :wine_glass:

Diana and 47 killing a man together and then doing a sexually charged dance in front of every major Providence head is 1000000% the canon kill for Mendoza lol

I was under the assumption that because Edwards was trying to set Diana up to be the next Constant (from their deal to exchange 47) he was well aware of 47 coming to save Diana and “conveniently” murdering the other up-and-coming Heralds.

I thought that do, but Vidal’s intel explicitly says she’s Edwards’ closest and most trust aide. I can imagine him sacrificing Yates (who’s a backstabbing hoe) but Vidal seems too valuable. So not sure what Edwards’ plan was

I still say she was too pro-hierarchy to last under the Providence Edwards was inclined to create. He got to the top by toppling the old money establishment and the cronyism it promoted. They would have fallen out eventually.

I didn’t get the impression he worked for anybody but himself, the two people talking by the asado pit mention the power vacuum that happens when you take out the head of one of the two major players in an unstable drug war. I just took it as them discussing current events that anyone could see on the news, but I guess it’s also possible they have some intelligence based on inside surveillance of the cartels.

There’s someone by Diana’s table who says something like “Rico may have been a sonofabitch but he was our sonofabitch.” Also, it’s a bit convenient for Grey to choose some random drug kingpin who just happens to have the largest distribution network in the world. He probably got the tip from the IAGO dossier, had Olivia do some digging and found another Providence asset he could flip.
