New Add-ons (1/26/2023)

It’s not necessarily gone though, as you can just rebuy it from a merchant again later. It’s just lost from your wall temporarily.

At this point if I should buy those things would be only for supporting IOI let’s remember that freelancer and Ambrose island were free Content and other companies I can see them making payed DLC for content like that. If ioi keep adding this kind of content for free I don’t really mind if they put some cosmetical DLC every now and then.

I did buy the makeshift pack… it does give you a gameplay advantage, sort of.

  1. You do get one “free” weapon on the wall right off the bat (a Druzhina 34).
  2. You get to stock more weapons that fit a specific “type”, i.e., one more Druzhina, more “Epic” silenced submachine guns and rifles, one more katana, baseball bat, etc.
  3. The scrap weapons are around 10k, which I think might be a bit cheaper than their equivalent non DLC weapons.

Is it normal I have these available in my game even though I didnt purchase the DLC packs?

Can you see them but not actually choose them?

I think they let you see what the DLC house items look like to entice you…

You can scroll through them (like the Deluxe ones too), but cannot set them a far as I know.

Yes I agree on the whole supporting thing. But at least make something serious so Hitman doesn’t look like a joke.

I mean, their own marketing does that for them.

Idk I do like the Scrap Poncho. Only thing I could live without is the whites around the ankles.

I’m all for unique enough Suits but the Graffiti Hoody is probably the ugliest thing IO Released with it surpassing the Ruby Rude Track Suit.

I’d be interested to know if the Scrappy Sniper Rifle counts as a Druzhina for the Strelok challenge

I could check.

At least I know the DTI variant counts, so I think it’s likely.

It does count towards it. There’s 7 variants that count.

Whoa I didn’t know there were so many variants of the Druzhina lol. Thanks

Yeah, I can confirm the scrap rifle works for Strelok.

But the briefcase at least has the proper fleur de lis theme (plus it has a genuinely amusing and unique gameplay behaviour), and rubber duckies have been a thing in the series since the first game (though I still think they crossed the line with all the duck-themed suits and weapons), so they fit in one way or another. On the other hand, these two packs feel like they were meant for some battle royale/GTA Online and Fallout-ish game respectively…

It´s kinda disappointing when they throw out this kind of stuff when there´s still several suits and weapons from the main game that haven´t been turned into unlocks yet (e.g. regular ninja suit, the Dubai “nomad” suit, the sniper rifles from Sniper Assassin mode, etc.). They haven´t even been able to give a certain in-game gun its own look even 2 years after release. And even when it comes to “new” stuff like this, like badea said, IO can certainly do better.

The Haven swimsuit… :sob:

These items look like GTA Online stuff was my first thought when I saw them. There are a few nice things in either pack, though.

Speaking of that, the clipping on it is another thing that hasn´t been fixed yet in 2 years…

Glad I´m not the only one

Honestly, I think I only like the poncho (mainly due to the Absolution ICA vibes). The furniture stuff is plain awful to me and I think I´d rather fail a Freelancer campaign on purpose just to get those guns off of my safehouse wall

Ah this. I couldn’t had said it better.
The briefcase with the modern logo really look appealing to me. I actually love it

I’d be fine with IOI adding the Haven Island Swimsuit.

Another one I want as an unlock is the Black Ninja Suit from Hokkaido.

I personally am glad IOI are adding new cosmetic packs, as everything they’ve been adding is Free.

I hope that if IOI gets enough funding from these cosmetics, that we’ll get a new Snow map. I personally would even pay for a new Sniper Assassin map set in Khandanyang.

I think IOI made a good call on selling cosmetics. It’s nothing intrusive, they aren’t that expensive, and you don’t need to buy them.

I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m glad, but I’m simply okay with the decision. Purchasing the Packs tell IO that we’re willing to pony up $5-$10 bucks every few months if it means we get more content.

Of course I want to stress that I don’t see HITMAN 3 going beyond a third year. I hope we get something substantial for Year 3, but I’m holding my breath in it simply cause we won’t know unless something like a leak suggests otherwise.
