Okay WHO requested the Fixer?!
The Maneki-Hitman challenge was suggested by @pending in the Challenge Thread.
Assuming itās the same as what was suggested will be to activate the easter egg (which I think is quite cool and wish there were more challenges for the easter eggs).
I couldnāt find anything for Sky-High Voltage. I know I suggested an RFID Taser challenge for Whittleton but looks as though it will be a Dubai one.
The Big Ticket Item for March is Iām sure going to be the PSVR2 showcase, though hopefully PC people get details on improvements coming to that eventuallyā¦
We donāt know if Sony paid for the development and holds the āgamemodeā for a year, months or even forever. Even so, letās say that eventually will come to PC: IOI will ask the 10ā¬ (as will be on PS5) to pc players for gettting the improvements?
Hardcore psychopaths.
For the RFID, as its habitual ambassador on the forum, I can help a bit.
I would also appreciate if peacock players could check something for me. Which I dread.
This is a bin.
(obligatory)
Ken Morgan walks by it.
And if you conceal the RFID explosive in it. And have him pick the RFID coin. He will be eliminated by it when he returns to his table. And him alone.
Is it Silent Assassin? No. Is it efficient? No. This is Ken āfood taster, chandelier walker, the Brickā Morgan.
Is it fun as all hell to pull? Yes. Itās currently my favourite opportunity for him. Itās fun, original, and connects multiple game systems in a way that made me happy when I found it. Pure Hitman.
And I would love to try it SA with a propane flask.
The issue is.
Current Electrocution Devices cannot be placed in bins.
And I fear the new RFID one wonāt too.
I would appreciate if someone could check it quickly.
It would break my heart, because I advocate constantly for the RFID,
Habitually with a paragraph explaining why the current sole RFID item is forgotten because itās linked to a suspicious item and why any new one should avoid this design conflict at all cost.
At least the explosive can be placed in bins. And itās rewarding when you find one.
I even think itās its intended use.
So if another design conflict was made for the electrocution one, presumably by lack of understanding of the game systems, to make this impossible.
It would be sincerely sad.
And itās why I always said ābut be certain to make it microā for the RFID.
(as a bonus for the electrocution one, it would open it to water puddles, a suspicious one being in another game system conflict on AI behaviour there)
Suspicious RFID Electrocution defeats its own design, I fear.
As for
From CombatGlue community ask topic on ETs rerun.
Since a poll was made on it.
Also now we know it was for Year 5.
Literally the majority of the community players. And in first place.
It is fair.
I want that explosive lucky cat.
Good to see the Galore return for the players who missed out on their ETs this year. I can breathe a sigh of relief that Iāve done these already so no need to manically check the game every week to make sure I donāt miss anything!
I am looking forward to the RFID taser. Iāve never used that item before. Can anybody explain to me the basics of how it works please?
I also got excited seeing the Chinese New Year theme for the roadmap, sadly no official recognition of your mod yet into the full game so just that Deluxe escalation for us to playā¦ @Kevin_Rudd
Same as a normal taser except for it is only triggered when it comes in proximity with the RFID Coin that comes with it. So you can plant the taser in a location for example and get your target to pick up the coin. The taser wonāt go off until they get close to it.
Thereās an RFID Explosive you can try out to get the idea of how it works.
Oh right!! Thank you very much, I will test this out later.
As the person who suggested the lucky cat explosive this makes me happy to see
RFID has more versatility than just a trap though. You have the ability to get multiple people with it if for instance you get one person to carry the coin and one person to carry the taser and you can do some clever manipulation with this, some interesting puzzles have been built around the RFID explosive.
Can someone explain the Lee Hong Event or are they just giving everyone the deluxe content for free
This will likely work the same way as with the exclusive ETs, meaning the Escalation itself will be available for a limited time in the game for those who donāt own DLC, but in order to receive the unlocks associated with that DLC and the Escalation permanently, you will need to purchase the DLC it self.
But according to information on official website:
This escalation contract will be playable for free, giving you a chance to equip the famous Golden Dragon sniper rifle
Iām now concernedā¦ Equip = use durning mission, but not unlock it, I hope, because that would be quite unfair for those who paid a lot of money for Deluxe content.
Some pretty cool stuff to keep us busy
Looking foreword to see what else IOI have planned for Y5.
Honestly the more surprising reveal here is how much people wanted the angel of death back.
Not the worst mission though.
Without looking at that thread, I have a feeling the Fixer was so popular because it hasnāt reran since H2.
Literally the majority of the community players
Iām noticing a lot of forum regulars on there, so I wouldnāt equate that with the entire community. Thatās a lot of disproportionate representation for experienced players. Not something Iād call fair.
As far as I know, aside from yourself, fuckinā everybody.
Now, if we can just get an Arcade contract for it. I donāt even care if itās just a two-stage one consisting solely of the Fixer, thatās fine.
February 28 ā March 9
The Fixer - Available for the first time since HITMAN 1 per community request.
Umā¦ It was live in HITMAN 2 between November 22nd and December 2nd 2019.
Yep. The blogpost for that update also had to explain some of the parameters the game doesnāt
Probably just Frote7 or some other big player.
Nvm, shouldāve kept reading instead of replying right away.
I think we have enough proximity explosives weāll (probably) never use for now. Theyāre only good for Freelancer or when getting SA doesnāt matter or when itās only the target in aā¦ (too lazy to look up the noise radius) desolate place or when the target flies right into a hiding spot. Yeah, okay, quite some options, but they need a proper setup. Switching between modes - Remote, Proximity, RFID - would be neat, but seems to be too much work.
The taser being pretty useless since it isnāt a micro one which makes it only useful for guards is somehow a slap in the face.
But itās nice of IOI to let people who donāt have the Deluxe DLC play the Lee Hong Derivation for free to get its items, to say at least something positive.
Iād rather the ETA than the rerun. That at least makes it permanently possible to beat.
Also, as I said, just because everyone on the forum wanted it back doesnāt mean it actually reflects the whole hitman community. We are but one subset of players.
And ones that should know better at that.
