I guess I’ve been very lucky. I used the delete local profile workaround a couple of times which worked, and since yesterday I’ve been able to connect with no problems at all. Playing on PS4 slim.

I say this every morning, i expect this issue to be done, i login and bam, another Failed to fetch profile error.

I purchased Hitman 3 on the 18th and it also shows up as not being owned in the PS Store. The error about ‘failing to fetch online resources’ occurs both under my main PSN account as well as the one I just created, which has never been used to play any games. Really bummed that offline play is my only option. What a complete waste of $65.
I’m just going to warn everyone to avoid trying hotfixes unless you really know what you are doing!
I tried going to Settings and deleting saved data for H3 a few days ago. It worked a treat for several hours’ play. Today the connection issue returned; I tried to replicate what I had previously done - and now appear to have deleted all my progression! The mistake may have been in deleting “profile data”.
That can’t be the case, I’ve deleted my profile data multiple times now and its restored my connection on about 50% of attempts
I’ve just been discussing it on the Support Thread. It appears that profile data is stored on the IOI server, so the worst-case scenario is that I have to play with a highly restricted loadout until the problem is fixed: I’m not going to lose my data for good. I’ll play around with repeating the solution, though, and see if it helps me re-connect.

Well, the maintenance worked! Finally, I saw the main menu all lit up, all my Hitman 1 and 2 trophies started to pop, and as far as I can tell, I’ve gotten all my unlocks from the previous game, apart from the Requiem Pack! (There’s also a few new ones – i.e. new Classic rewards that auto-completed due to challenge progress).
Now, @Travis_IOI, even though much of it might go over our heads – can you explain what the problem may have been that caused this whole profile-desync? I was under the impression it might be more complex and needed to be sorted on a case-by-case basis (and still might with a few lingering offline people) but what did your programmers find was wrong with the Profile Authentication? I’m genuinely curious.
I too cannot connect. PS4 Pro, Digital Preorder.

the update works I can play, the only thing I can say is that I didnt unlock all the trophies I am qualified for, I had 100% on H1, H2, and H2 Expansion, and now in H3 I have 92% on H2 and 60% on the expansion and it didnt give me any of the credit for the training level in H3 at all even though ive done that twice before, but I will take this over nothing.
I have not checked my inventory or mastery yet but will update thjis further if anything seems out of place, otherwise assume that it was all fine.
