Playstation Connectivity Issues

I wonder if they may have changed criteria within Hitman 3 for some of the trophy unlocks. Apparently something to that effect is also why mission stories won’t show as completed (although the unlocks from them should still be available).

No matter. I am just happy to be online! I won’t have time to play until this evening but from my quick glance everything is in working order on my end. Hopefully those who are still having issues are able to get on soon.

I’m pretty sure those are the Sniper Assassin trophies? Yeah, for whatever reason, those and the Prologue trophies don’t unlock automatically, even if your challenges for them are completed.
The Prologue stuff shouldn’t take too much work to complete, but yikes to the Sniper Assassin ones.

It’s easy. As long as you have the 3.00 challenge multiplier, a single SA run will cause the trophy for a score of a million points to unlock which will result in both trophies for the map unlocking.

Shut down, unplugged for 5 minutes. Still not working.

Hey all - great news: I’M ONLINE! The first time since launch, yes, but the fix appears to have worked.

First thing that I noticed was the addition of my trophies. Next, I scrolled through the levels and they’re all there from HM1 & HM2. When you try to load either of those, it will require you to re-install from the PS store (conveniently included direct link) and this process was immediate for me, as I must still have the level data on my console. This also applied to the HM2 expansion pack.

All my gear was there (minus Electric Phone, which they already acknowledged), all mastery + unlocks accounted for, and I was pleased to see the requiem suits added to my inventory. I don’t know if there will be any lingering server issues over the next few days, but even if they are, merely being able to connect online and see all my rewards was a major relief!

Hope you all experience the same luck and have a great time (finally) kicking off Hitman 3!

Congrats! Still nothing over here, but I am out in the sticks. I wonder if they’re repairing it region-by-region?

Apparently, they fixed the “Failed to fetch profile information” error, since most of you guys can connect now. But, they still haven’t fixed “Failed to fetch online resources” error that me and some others are dealing with. I tried to warn them about this error being different. But, they didn’t listen. I’m really getting tired and very disappointed…

I’m not sure if it makes a difference, but I connected for the first time successfully after the servers went back online.

I had disconnected my io account and my PSN, had all the save data deleted and then once I opened the game I relinked everything back up.

Worth a shot at least if you haven’t tried. Good luck everyone.

New player, but Here is a fix if you are still having issues.

It appears that profiles on the server are easily corrupted. If this happens the only immediate fix is to back up your local save data and completely delete your IOI account from the website. Log back in to H3 with your backup save and create a new IO interactive account. Your local save will be synced to your new account. This will only work if you managed to transfer your H1 and H2 saves. If not, you will need to sign into both H1 and H2 to sync their data. Then sign into H3 and perform the transfer… it WILL work for you now if it has been crashing.

I broke this in 20 minutes with a laptop and some basic QA skills. Wtf has IO been doing for the past 5 days? They should be ashamed.

There is a difference between a workaround and fixing the root cause of the problem. Nothing to be ashamed about.

5 days since launch, i havent been able to connect once.

im extremely dissapointed…of myself for pre-ordering this game, i should have waited a few months to a year, like i do for every other game but this time around i said maybe i should support the developer by paying full price for their game sice they delivered such great games with H2016 and H2 (i played these way after launch date), i even went further and paid for the deluxe edition for cosmetics, soudtrack and commentaries that i really dont care about, deluxe escalations are nice (i can’t tell actually) and this is what i get.

Lesson learned.

i hope they are still looking into this issue, cause there are people that still cant play the game as its suppose to.

Finally, after not being able to connect since release day, I have been able to go online. All of my progress and unlocks have transferred over (except for the stuff that wasn’t ported and of course the one pack that is missing for pretty much everyone). My only issue is all of my mission stories were reset, but I can easily replay to unlock those so I’m not even complaining. Time to dive into the story of Hitman 3.

Hi everyone. First time poster and brand new to this forum. I tried to find a form of contact for IOI support and I stumbled upon this forum.

Like many of you, I’m a big fan of the Hitman franchise. I’ve played every game in the franchise, with the exception of the one that started it all, Hitman: Silent Assassin.

I bought Hitman 3 for PS5, and I even found some copies of Hitman 1: Definitive Edition and Hitman 2, as I previously played both of these titles on PS4 and wanted to transfer whatever I could, to my Hitman 3 experience.

Unfortunately, like many of you, I am experiencing connection issues. Since launch day here in Australia (Wednesday 20 January 2021), I haven’t been able to connect to Hitman 3 on PS5 at least once. I always get the failed to fetch data message.

I have managed to at least link all my products to my IOI account and I can play most of my levels in Hitman 3, I just can’t do any of the challenges, or use any of my collected rewards/equipment from previous games, as you can’t do this in offline mode.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling Hitman 3, I’ve tried deleting my local files (as a user on this forum suggested), I’ve tried a wi-fi connection, I’ve tried my standard Ethernet connection, but I don’t think there’s anything I can do. I checked IOI’s Twitter (I don’t have Twitter myself, but it seems to be the only place where IOI is providing updates) and they posted eight hours ago that all platforms are back online, but I still can’t connect.

I’m thinking about returning this game to the store (EB Games) as they offer a seven day return policy (or 10 day return policy, for level 4 EB card holders). Tomorrow will mark an entire week of being unable to connect online. I think that’s long enough to wait, but I do hope I might be able to connect and properly play sometime today.

Can anyone provide any advice to me on what I -might- be able to do, if anything? Has anyone on PS4 and/or PS5 been able to successfully connect and play Hitman 3 online?

Thanks everyone.

There was a server maintenance just a few moments ago and it seems a lot of people on PS4/PS5 are now able to get online. I will retry myself later.

If you still cannot connect you have to raise the issue with @Travis_IOI as yours may be falling into specific cases. IOI have a strong reputation with post-sales support and I have yet to hear of any case raised to them that was never solved.

You should probably escalate it, preferably tomorrow, after we let the fix run for 24 hours and let IOI note how many % of the disconnects are resolved. That’s what I will do as well if I still cannot connect later.

Good luck, Soupienza. I hope you are able to connect and enjoy the game.

Thank you for this information, I really appreciate it. I might see if I can try and reach out to @Travis_IOI privately (I’m new to this forum so still learning how it all works) and maybe they can help me out. I really hope my case isn’t… specific, but it’s happened before on other Internet services (like X-Box Game Pass for PC) due to our Internet provider.

Oh that would indeed be a 1% of the 1% scenario. Hope that is not what happened to you.
