I have no idea how but this worked for me
I followed all the steps besides uninstalling the game and it worked perfectly. I can’t guarantee it will work for everyone but its worth a shot

So basically… Delete local saves, Restore Licences?
I shall see in a couple of hours when the latest reinstall is finished!
@SilentWraith did not have to uninstall the game.
that is the fix Travis recommended yesterday. Delete your local save data, and relaunch. Didn’t work for me several times yesterday.
Maybe doing that and the cache thing combined might work over time.
But reinstalling didn’t work for me twice.
I tried the Travis fix independently of my previous reinstall so by combining all the methods I’ll see if the result is any different.
Awesome, seems to be more of a data issue then with local saves/cache memory
Will this work with digital versions? And also, my error says “Failed to fetch online resources”
I’m mot sure if this method is safe to try for me. If I want to delete the game it Will take me almost two days to download it again because of the limited internet usage we have in our country.
I wouldn’t bother uninstalling it if you have a really long download speed.
I would keep trying deleting your save and profile data. and maybe doing the cache thing. I am leaving my PS4 unplugged for 10 mins atm and trying exactly that. but reinstalling doing exactly what was said didn’t work form me twice.
Travis recommended yesterday just deleting your profile data and relaunching. But that didn’t work for me either, so I don’t think its only a cache issue, or a system side thing.
UPDATE
Deleted Both profile and save data.
Turned off the system.
Left unplugged for over 10 mins.
Turned system back on.
Restored Licenses
Launched HITMAN 3
Still does not work. I do not believe its a cache/system side issue for everyone, maybe only a few. Unless I am missing a step.
@SilentWraith did not uninstall the game.
yes i did. I uninstalled twice, the only thing i didnt do the first time was unplug the system. but I did the second time. Neither fixed anything.
I meant that the solution that worked for you did not involve uninstalling the game.
lol nothing has worked for me im still un able to play i think you mean someone else XD
Oh right. I meant @SilentWraith . Hahaha. Just woke up.
Thank you. I’ll try deleting save Data and the cache, then
And Power Off… unplug 30+ seconds… refresh licences… launch H3.
Okay, I’ve let it download to the point where I could launch the game (13.665 GB) and booted it up without re-downloading my saves from the cloud and it worked!!!
My completed challenges are still there (except for the handful of Mission Stories that never carried over, but that’s not a big deal) and that includes the challenges I already finished when I played the new missions for the first time. My unlocks are there as well (though now that I know that a lot of people are missing their Requiem suit I just checked and I don’t have it either, but that’s a separate issue).
EDIT (because apparently I’m not allowed to post more than 3 replies in the same topic for some stupid reason):
IT STOPPED WORKING THE NEXT MORNING!! Tried going through the same steps again (minus deleting the entire game, because this really shouldn’t make a difference and it’s too much busywork), but this method isn’t working anymore. Connection issues are back with a vengeance.
BTW, this time the error message says “failed to fetch configuration” (it used to say “failed to fetch profile”).
long frustrated sigh Well, I did what I could on my end. By now IOI should be able to pinpoint the exact problem. It’s just too bad that they don’t seem to be working on weekends or else this issue could be fixed already. >:(
Yeah… you forgot to close your eyes and mutter: “Help me, Baby Jesus.”
This is a stretch here but when I unplugged my power from the back of the console I also unplugged everything from it. HDMI, ethernet, and USB just to be thorough. Some ethernet supports power over ethernet (POE). Again, might be a stretch as @SilentWraith got theirs to work.
Right @n0rric you should also shut down the power to the city itself.
But kidding aside will try what @SilentWraith did later.
