Season of Undying (First Roadmap 2024)

True, but not by choice.

Just a fact, not fun at all.

I wonder if anyone went for the Ouroborous theme and used the 7DS Serpent’s Bite.

(what a disappointment that item ended up being by the way, it should have been a micro explosive reskin, not of the suspicious ones)

Jesus, I can’t believe I didn’t think of this. Well played.

Before Lust came out, I also expected this to be a legal carry, if not a micro explosive. More like a duck that you could stick to surfaces.

Yeah tbh I don’t really get why a guy in a tuxedo carrying a propane tank to the auction in Paris is not suspicious, but the same guy pulling out some kind of snake statuette of his pocket is :x

It being a micro explosive? No.

It being a legal duck-like item? Now that is a missed opportunity, gotta say.

Most of the 7DS unlocks were disappointing, the only ones that are worth getting are the snail, the gum, and the crossbow. The greed cane could have been more usefull if it was concealable in 47’s back.

That gun is part of the Trinity Pack DLC (originally the H3 pre-order bonus). I don’t (can’t lol) keep track of all the different configurations of this game but I don"t remember this being a part of the deluxe version of the WOA.

If that’s the case, then it would make the statistic even more impressive because that would mean a shit ton of people either pre-ordered H3 or bought the DLC pack ioi finally released.

I can confirm it isn’t in the deluxe pack

Okay, yeah, I just completely missed that, that’s a good catch.

That…that’s a very weird statistic, yeah.

I don’t find that to be true honestly:

  • The Devil’s Cane can spawn coins, can act as a melee weapon and it looks quite cool. We have a lack of cane items in the game, so i’m all for it. It can also be used in Dartmoor to unlock the switches around the house, which technically makes it a legal variant of that item if that’s true.
  • The Slapdash SMG is silenced, based on one of the better one-handed SMG’s in the game (the Dak X2, so the spread is really tight). If you like SMG’s there’s really no downside it having it in a mission.
  • The Goldbrick for its sedative properties which we all know about.
  • The Serpent’s Tongue (the crossbow) is a really cool take on a flash device that i’m surprised it’s not been reused more often. Really cool concept and idea honestly.
  • The Maximalist Shotty is concealable, is gold, and generally looks quite fancy. Also good for loud runs.
  • The ā€œBubble Queenā€ Gum Pack as it’s a really cool no-noise sedative weapon that doesn’t draw outside-of-room attention. In many cases, I prefer this over the goldbrick.
  • The Shashka Beast is a must-have if you like doing loud runs. Better ammo capacity, and generally decent recoil.
  • The Roar Flash Grenade. It’s a legal to carry flash device not unlike the flash phone, and also looks really cool. If I need to have a flashie, I’ll take it.

EDIT: You CAN use the cane on dartmoor to open doors…interesting! I wasn’t sure.

For all I’ve wanted to use the Roar Flash Grenade, I never actually use the thing. Note that it is a proximity flash device. Surely there are strategies to pull off with it, but, while a cool and unique item, its usage has proven limited in my experience.

I like the Devil’s Cane. Note that the cane already present in Dartmoor is legal to carry, although not to pick up. I wish the cane didn’t need a briefcase or a smuggle point to bring in to a mission. But the same can be said of many of the larger items.

The Roar Flash Grenade comes in super handy when you want to poison something in public without bothering to get a legal disguise. Like The Censor’s drink or something in New York (which doesn’t even have a legal disguise).

Heyo, that’s a good idea. I noticed that about New York recently when I was playing a Showdown there and seeing how best to poison the leader’s drink…

The sedative bubble gum is the only one I truly found use for personally. As in planning a run around it.

Sapienza, I place it on the path going from the pier to the lab.
The grieving scientist will find it. So by the time I come back, she will have been awakened by her bodyguard, leaving being a keycard and more importantly the Biolab Laptop Dongle. Allowing for a clean virus destruction.

The rest of the item can be fun, but I never found a run defining use for them.

Also for me: The cane could be fun, if it didn’t demanded a briefcase (I don’t like leaving things behind). The serpent tongue will be useful during the flash, but then panic/send in guards into search mode, which is something I always avoid. Same with the Roar Flash Grenade.

Overall, as fun variations, and showcases of mechanics that will scratch the brain in a amusing way, as they are. They are just not the way I like to play the game, and use loadout options.
I am though immensely glad that they are in the game. Game is better with them inside.

Now give me my silenced striker IOI.

Damn, I am going to have to replay the ET Arcade and use this.

This is in 7DS’s Lust escalation, not ETA.

I know that, I unlocked it back in 2021. I am referring to the fact of using the Serpent’s Bite I the Ouroborous ETA.

Ah, okay, apologies.

At this point I am feeling ashamed on behalf of IOI.
Someone at IOI pls stop this cheap madness of resurrecting that dead man.
