Well we finally got a Celebrity in the ETA! And a new ETA contract!
Itâs kind of a shame so much of this all of this doesnât start until later next month.

Initial year 4 thoughts:
The Revolutionary can eat a thousand bullets. Always spawning in random places and being fascist. Iâve never been able to successfully eliminate that man.
I do like how the Undying has a challenge pack associated with him now. I really missed doing those during H2016âs and H2âs run.
I still donât know how Twitch drops workâŚ
âŚbut the duck is cute.
In all: Super grateful that this game is even getting updated. Looking forward to whatâs to come

@Combatglue As some clarification, is the new Arcade contract being free-to-play a temporary thing? Its specifically mentioned as being free-to-play, but then also listed as being part of the Undying PackâŚ

Additionally, we will be releasing a brand new cosmetic DLC pack to all platforms, The Undying Pack. This includes:
- The Ephemeral Suit with Eye Patch
- Kronstadt Mini Flash Robo XOI-2900
- Kronstadt IOI-1998X Surround Earphones
- Kronstadt Explosive Pen (Gen 2)
- The Oroborous - A three level Arcade contract featuring The Undying Elusive Target.
- A set of cosmetics for the Freelancer Safehouse inspired by the iconic Elusive Target mission.

Likely a Sarajevo Six-type situation than straight up greed. The pack, which is optional, is an attempt to recover costs to bring the content back.

The ETA contract is free for everyone, I donât think itâs a part of the DLC; at least, going off of IOâs wording on the blog.
Admittedly the roadmap does not make this obvious.

If I understand correctly, itâs three different content:
- the Arcade will be available to all, even free starter pack players
- the Elusive Target will be available to all owning the game players
- the pack, cosmetics, and items will be a paid DLC
(but to be confirmed by @Combatglue)

Its also listed underneath that as being part of the DLC. Hence my post above tagging @Combatglue asking for clarification if the free-to-play on the Arcade is temporary.

I know theyâre recouping costs, but theyâre just like Paradox now, releasing more DLCs that arenât included in the Deluxe Edition. They charge $100 for that stupid edition and these minuscule packs are missing. Then itâs not really âDeluxeâ, is it? I canât wait for them to remove Standard and Deluxe and have one version named âGOTY Editionâ, itâll be like HITMAN (2016) again

The words âadditionallyâ implies it is seperate.
It specifically says its included in the pack.
Ergo, the F2P may be temporary.

Iâm leaning toward expecting the answer being yes as it says âFree Starter Pack players will have a chance to experience the Undying mission in The Oroborousâ.

By the way, can you believe weâre finally getting a suit that actually looks like The Undyingâs outfit? I donât know what they were thinking with The Undying Look

Is there even a regular (aka eyepatchless) Ephemeral Suit in the game? I understand the need to make that suit stand out since itâs meant to be a paid one, but nonetheless I kinda dislike the eyepatch and wouldnât be against putting 2 variants of the suit in this pack. Unless the plan is to hand the eyepatchless version out for participating in the ET the same way it was done with the Drop, but then it would probably be said already.

Are you confusing the word âDeluxeâ with the word âCompleteâ?
Yeah, it does suck when they release a âAll Content So Farâ bundle with a fancy name, and then keep releasing more content after that, but ya get what you pay for, and thatâs exactly what the bundle you bought gets you!

Yeah Iâm betting â like with all Free Starter promotions â the Arcade will be free to play at the same time as the Elusive runs, but to access it permanently after the fact, buying the DLC is your ticket.

Potential buyers might confuse Deluxe with Complete, not me. Thatâs why I mentioned Paradox. EA might fall into this category as well since Sims 4 has a Deluxe DLC as well.
The Dropâs Greek Fire Suit wasnât even announced in the roadmap for that month IIRC. It came as a complete surprise when you booted up the game and saw there was an extra suit that they didnât mention. They can do the same here and surprise us with an eyepatch-less version of the Undying Suit, free for anyone who plays the ET, that didnât get announced in the roadmap at allâŚ
